Especially since if they mess it up, cletuses will use it as evidence that female Doctors don't work and it'll be years before anybody tries it again. I already knew Larry hated Chibnall, but I have a bit more faith in him than that. And if we were to wait until we got a female showrunner or a showrunner perfect for this, before getting a female Doctor, it'd probably be decades from now.
