I get it. This is the 10th Doctor's TARDIS. So new story had something to do with the 10th. Everything happened after the library is a simulation and what River Song did at the end of the episode was actually done by the Doctor. And all of the future adventures are generated by a simulator. It takes from his memory some old pictures: the girl and the man from Pompeii, the Master, the 1st Doctor. Everything turns into new stories but it's all unreal.
A character from the trailer is River Song. In series 11 she will try to free the Doctor's mind from the virtual prison and find a new body for him.

Generally they / them / their is used in situations where ambiguity is helpful, plenty of people use it all the time even when there is no gender ambiguity just because it's a useful vague pronoun. Beyond that, I imagine it will be the same as the Master - generally using male pronouns for the male incarnations, and female for the female, and defaulting to whatever gender the current Master is in situations that are a bit trickier.

I started watching it in 2005 when I was like 10 years old because my mum told me I'd like it (she used to watch the classic era) after watching the first series I went back and watched a bunch of classic serials to fill in the gap between Series 1 and 2, since then I've watched many of the classic series between seasons, not that it's any of your business claiming who is and isn't a fan you gatekeeping asshat. I've enjoyed watching this show for the past 12 years, there have been the ocasional political episodes (the Slitheen ones in 2005 come to mind) but NEVER anything as dumb as "Le Capitalizim is bad! xD"
