I've only read New Spring (book 0 I guess? the prequel?) and it was pretty meh.
I liked the atmopshere, how the city sights and sounds were described, but all the characters were so fucking annoying.
Everyone in this universe has thier head so far up their ass, ready to pull a knife on you if you look at them the wrong way or refuse to pour the tea for someone older than you.
Its like a bad anime or something. Hopefully the show will be better than that.
