What it meant to me was that we should all try to live the way he lived when he was hypnotized, being reasonably disconnected from all the bullshit in the world and doing what makes you happy. Clearly we need to find a balance, but yeah. The ending to the movie was perfect. He was doing a job that obviously didn't pay as well as his former job he hated, but he actually was enjoying it and enjoying his life.
