my friend and i wereon a road trip from florida to illinois and about 30 miles outside bloomington indiana, we found this huge doctor who store, pic related

i lost all the pictures i had of the store itself, but it was definitely larger than most of the stores by it, which were all biker bars and convenience stores type things. it was half museum, half retail store full of merchandise, and there was a game room in the back with pinball and then an extra back room i couldnt see. it was probably 2000 sq foot, and there were 3 customers working it, and it was in the middle of NOWHERE. we were literally the only 2 people there the whole 30 minutes we were at the store. i still cant explain why it was there. it felt like a fever dream, or maybe it was just a drug front.

They have no love, compassion, or respect for anyone but themselves - and they believe themselves to be Gods amongst men. Absolutely.

Although I'm not really sure how, since normies probably won't understand that the Showrunner is changing or what the significance of that would be. If the show had like at least a 5-year hiatus it would be easy to drum up hype for it and bring it back as a big event. Trying to do that with no break would be tough.

The more I think about it, the more the season-long story rumour makes sense. It's a crazy idea and the great vampires is huge fanwank, but BBC and Chibnall probably feel like they need to dramatically alter the show's format to get people to look at it with fresh eyes again.

I'm actually warming up to the idea. Even though personally I've always hated season arcs in Doctor Who, and like having standalone episodes, there's something really appealing about one huge Doctor Who story. It's basically unprecedented. Even Trial of a Timelord was split into different stories. And Children of Earth is one of the greatest things to come from Doctor Who, and Broadchurch is solid. So it could be really genuinely good television

Plus I'm a slut for the great vampires. I've always thought they were a much more suitable and interesting enemy to the time lords than daleks are.

I think I'm honestly at the point where I'll be disappointed if this ridiculous rumour wasn't true.

I stopped watching procedular TV Shows, Doctor Who is one of the exceptions here. I like the idea of a story that keeps me interested. I liked story arcs, cause I like to know how it ends. I like to feel the urge that I have to come back to know more. The "Next time" trailer don't do much for me anymore. The anthology type show is good when it's not under one guy who rewrites everything.

I like season arcs, in other shows. But it always felt like Doctor Who is sort of the antithesis of season arcs. You have a bunch of standalone episodes set in completely different locations, times, and with different people, and then you try to force this season arc onto it. It doesn't work. So personally, I think the should either do all or nothing. Either a huge continuous story, or standalone episodes with no season arc at all.

People tend to miss the full context of this scene.

Right before this scene, Cobb has just shot the Doctor's daughter, and the Doctor's last link to family. Right now, the Doctor has all the justification to shoot Cobb in cold blood.

But Ten doesn't. Not because he doesn't like guns, but because Cobb is unarmed, and no threat. And Ten refuses to continue the cycle of needless violence, no matter the justification.

When Ten says "I NEVER WOULD", he's not saying "I never would use a gun." He's not even saying "I never would kill an enemy." He's saying "I never would cruelly kill an unarmed person who was no longer a threat, no matter how justified I felt."

That's an important distinction. Not that Ten didn't have issues, but that scene is much less hypocritical than people say.
