Hey guys, first post here but I have a theory.

I, like many people, have been puzzled and somewhat annoyed by Lynch's insistance on spending so much screen time on Dougie. Spending so much time on a seemingly unrelated, and honestly boring, story is not the Twin Peaks we know and love. But I just thought of something that could explain it all. What if Dougie IS Cooper?

It would definitely explain why this character is seemingly so important. We haven't seen Cooper since he got sucked into that weird portal, or so we're lead to believe. But what if he switched places with Dougie and everyone just THINKS he's Dougie. It would explain why Dougie suddenly had that familiar suit on when we saw him immediately after, and the fact that he has no memories of his life and family. The only weird thing is the fact that Cooper would also seem to have none of his own memories, which doesn't make sense. Although, "Dougie" does seem to be familiar with certain aspects of Cooper's life (agent, case files, fascination with the officer's badge). If my theory is correct, Lynch is honestly a genius because the clues have been under our noses the whole time.

A lot of people probably thought we saw Dougie's Doppelganger in the Lodge (for some reaso), but my theory is that that was ACTUALLY Dougie, after swapping places with Cooper. The story would certainly make much more sense that way, but who knows with David Lynch.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Sorry if someone else has already posted something similar.

As we all know, Cooper's Doppelganger is named "Mr. C". Most think that when the real Coop returns, and becomes reacquainted with his old life, that spells doom for Mr. C.

Here's where it gets interesting. What is Coop's full title? Special Agent Dale Cooper. What happens when you abbreviate it? SADC.

Remember how old the mayor is? That's right, he's going to retire,
and guess who's going to run for mayor? That's right, the sheriff,
who is a power-hungry sociopath.

You want to know how he did it? He started a cult that the town is
going to blame the murder on. Many people know about the cult and are
in it, but it's very secret. The only evidence thus far is the scene
where Bobby and his best friend are `barking' at J. in the town
prison. When Bobby started `barking', his friend joined in
immediately indicating it's something they've done before. I maintain
they do it at meetings of the cult.

The evil sheriff theory also explains why he is seducing the richest
woman in Twin Peaks...

More developments on Friday when I have a completely different set of

When BOB takes WE's soul in 2022, he split it into two
parts: a malevolent side and a benevolent (or at least self-
serving and not totally evil) side. The "face of God"?-
BOB in the lodge? Now, the self-serving side becomes the OAM.
The malevolent side becomes the LMFAP. Let's move backwards from
the end of the show. WE/OAM can't meet up with WE(moving forward in
time), so he hangs out in the lodge and waits until Windom's
somewhere else in the country. He comes out of the lodge to assist
Coop in catching BOB out of revenge for splitting his soul. He
keeps an eye on things when Coop gets there (The elevator in 1000)
to make sure it is his former partner (The only person that can help
him now, because he's the only person WE knows that hasn't been in
the Lodges and is pure enough to go toe-to-toe with BOB to save
not only himself and Annie, but Windom as well. Then, he tries to
get back to his whole self after BOB kills Laura (I want back all
of Windom Earle, the two halves say in unison). BOB doesn't. He
just gives them some pain & suffering, the things that WE fed on
in life. OAM/WE goes back to the world to try to f*ck up BOB's
plot to be Laura out of spite. He then (In the meeting...didn't
it look likethe LMFAP (The malevolent side of Earle)was looking
at the "Garmonbozia" with relish at the thought of having it?)
tries to "Can it up" (Make himself whole again) at one of their
meetings. This may have involved actually getting the WE of that
time to the lodge to help patch things up (Thus Windom's
disappearance and subsequent messed-up mental state in _My Life,
My Tapes_) no dice. What happens with Windom? Maybe he gets saved
in the finale of the story, maybe he's trapped like that forever.
However, having Coop trying to save the soul of WE would be a great
addition to the story.

John, did you try reversing the actual "garmonbozia" in FWWM or did you try
recording yourself saying "garmonbozia" or "I is Windom Earle" and reversed
that? I think you will find that experiments using your own voice give
some support to the theory, but reversing a recording of the MFAP in FWWM
does not as both the original poster and I have concluded.

Question for everyone out there:
Is there any scene in the _series_ where the MFAP (or anyone else) says
'garmonbozia'? If so, which episode? I checked the last, and it isn't
there.
