You know, in S5, how maybe 25% of the season was tolerable but 75% of it was absolute nonsensical garbage because it was all D&D OC or plot stolen from the books but given to different characters so it made no sense whatsoever?

Well, in S6 it's 100%. Literally nothing makes sense, all characters are acting against their established character (not just the book one, some of them act against their established show character), and they're constantly saved but retarded plot armor.

It's one thing to be saved by "normal" television plot armor, like some guy is apparently the best swordsman alive and can kill 5 guys at once etc.. but in S6 it's just stupid.

Arya knows exactly 1 person in Braavos who isn't a Faceless Men, and when she fucks everything up and the FM are trying to kill her and give her multiple stab wound, that 1 person - previously thought to be a theater actress, nothing more - is now revealed to be able to perform surgery becuase [insert stupid backstory]. Wooh, arya is saved, it was a close call, am I right?

Then D&D forget their own writing half the time when they reference old plots, like Tyrion telling Theon that he ( theon ) insulted him back in winterfell. But actually, Tyrion is the one shitting on Theon for like 2 minutes in that scene, with Theon barely saying a couple things to him.

But heh, S7 might be good. They're developing Grey Worm/Missandei more, and they'll have a "sex scene", now this is really important to have in a short 7 episodes season. I don't really care who ends up on the throne, what I want to know is when they're spooning in bed, who is behind? I hope they keep this for S8 finale.

Oh, and Dothrakis are standing on their horses. For no reason whatsoever. Probably for the same reason Ramsay fight shirtless.

I was so naive. I used to argue that it's not that crazy for Cersei to be queen with popular support, because framing Tyrion who allegedly killed a good chunk of his family, is generally hated by his people, and has used wildfire in the past, along with Dany who is a daughter of a notoriously deranged pyromaniac, and Varys, a suspicious foreign enuch whose little birds were involved in blowing up the sept, would be super easy. I mean, what better way to start off an invasion than by murdering everyone in power in one fell swoop? I figured that as retarded as D&D are, they're not that retarded. But no, apparently everyone knows Cersei did it and nobody cares. I don't know why I had that modicum of faith left. I feel like I could write a better plot desu.

How come the season seven trailer has Davos saying almost the same line as the season six trailer? ("The real war is between the living and the dead and the dead are coming" and "it doesn't matter whose skeleton sits in the iron throne", implying it doesn't matter when the dead come).

I don't think it's too far fetched to say that Rhaegar was alone on this. Pretty much everyone knew that Aerys was disastrous and had to be dethroned or controlled as soon as possible, so all the lords paramount and a lot of houses would have been at least aware of ideas to crown Rhaegar, control Aerys, or overthrow the Targs altogether. The people I'm most suspicious of are Varys, Tywin, and the Martells. I'm pretty sure that they've been bootyblasted since the day Rhaegar said he wanted to fugg Lyanna at the tourney of Harrenhal, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did something to throw a spanner in the works. Also Varys seems impossible to analyse here, on one hand he seems like a Targ loyalist and a lot of his actions would give that impression, but at the same time he's deliberately fucked shit up before, and I think Varys could definitely have done something so that things may have turned out differently.

The Tourney at Harrenhall is popularly considered to be an elaborate front for Rhaegar planning with the other major lords a way to dethrone Aerys. It was staged by a relative of the Kinsguard Whent, one of the kingsguard at the tower of Joy. TV Varys is confusing, but presumably book varys wanted a rebellion as a way of killing the real Aegon and putting whoever young griff is on the throne. We have no idea how old young griff actually is, its possible he's a little older then the real argon (presuming he is a fake.) Meaning that once he was born, varys could have begun a switheroo scheme.

Maybe he wanted to orchestrate a way for the royal family to "escape" (read killing the kids and dumping in a gutter). But he just lucked out when Tywin killed them anyway out of spite. Then again, it is said that the kids would have to eventually be killed, but it would make the most sense for the princess to just marry Robert when old enough to cement legitimacy.

Wish we had gotten a Patchface scene or two, all those prophecies plus he was the most genuinely frightening part of the books.

that's a bit of an overstatement. He has some cartoony villians yes.
He has a lot of grey characters as well, hovering around good'ish and villain'ish.

I'm pretty sure such monsters existed in medieval era. I mean just look up any "horrible tortures" ranking article or something, evil soulless humans devising such things are a real thing that existed.

Obviously, as a writer, he wants to shock and all so his % of "extreme" characters, good or bad, is higher than reality. But none is particulary out of the reasonable imho. I'm sure there were hundreds of Gregor Cleganes and people like him in real medieval era, maimers and torturers as well.

And about Euron, well part of what he's doing is for magical reasons. Kinda have to give some lenience to that I think. If, as some theorized, he's doing all this for a ritual, well that's not just baseless cruelty, he thinks he has to do it for a greater purpose. Like the Aztec carving out people's heart alive, they probably didn't even consider this evil, it was just for the gods&shit.

Another example, the Arya scene with the Frey pie.

Lots of complains were about how it was shit to give a Wyman scene to Arya. I don't give a fuck about that.

What I give a fuck about, and that they ruined, is that the scene is terrible and doesn't fit. When Wyman does it, it fits, it makes sense, it's more in character, and most of all, it's logistically possible.

But Arya? It doesn't really make sense, it's stupid - why spend so long cooking his sons in pies if you're gonna kill him right after that so he "suffered" from the loss about 3 seconds? I assure you he wasn't thinking about the Frey pies when she was sawing his throat - and it would just not be possible. even if she's that super assassin ninja god thingy, are we to suppose she dragged 2 grown men to the kitchen, in an enemy castle, made pies, cut the 2 men in pieces, and baked the pies?

Is this castle fucking empty? Given that Frey lost next to no men in the war, and that Walder Frey has like 5 zillion children that he all allows to stay at the Twins, you'd think the castle would be pretty busy.

I don't care if they give the Wyman's plot to someone else... But don't make it shit like that. Make it fit, to a character who could do that, and write it in a way that it makes sense/would be possible or at least plausible. But they didn't do any of that.
