the show is objectively overrated garbage. the ONLY reason it's rated so highly is people have the idea it's sort of like a dramatized documentary, based on real people and events. it's not. the writing is terrible, the plot mostly goes nowhere until the final hour of a season. the character development doesn't happen naturally either. it's sudden and felt out of place as if just thrown in there because the writers "forgot" how to write. all of this magnified by the awful acting. what it comes down to is the wire is some liberal jerk off fantasy with liberal jerk off themes. that's why they love it. they like pretending the plight of niggers has to do solely with socio economic reasons and that's intellectually dishonest

Sopranos S5, or S2, or S6 as a whole, but yeah The Wire is only behind Sopranos in terms of epicness.
