Hello pleb. Hokuto no Ken is really nothing like either of those things aside from aesthetics. It's heavily influenced by those things by Buronson's own admition, but the actual finished product is not "literally" Bruce Lee + Mad Max. The only Bruce Lee influence is Kenshiro's appearance (the ATATATATA voice was more of an anime addition) and the Mad Max similarities die down as soon as Souther enters the picture. It's much more of a traditional Greek tragedy afterward, with people fighting against and accepting their fate and suffering as a result.

HnK is better than JoJo and Berserk, both of which try to copy it and failed to be anywhere near as good. Raoh>Grifith, it's not even close.

Yes? There is a whole section in the Illiad dedicated to exactly that. And the only people who loved Yuria were Ken and Shin. Raoh didn't love Yuria, he was faking it because he thought he could achieve musou tensei only if he loved someone. He still did it because his love for Ken gave him the ultimate sorrow.

Literally doesn't even apply to any one. Except maybe Jagi making Shin turn evil, but that's right at the very start of the story and never happens again. The next villain after Jagi is Souther and he had nothing to do with Shin, Yuria or Jagi so its pretty obvious you never read past the first story arc. The rest of the plot the only real bad guy is Raoh and Souther and both of them were always assholes.

It's like a Greek tragedy in that it's a story about hubris, ate and nemesis, where the fates are in control over people's lives. And Greek tragedies had plenty of gore and violence. The Greeks had a hard on for killing.
