As someone who actually watched the original anime movie years ago, this movie was interesting to watch.

They even had a short scene of the ultra typing fingers.

My only real complaint was early on with the "affirmative I am now doing ____"

and, it all felt rushed, story wise. everything was very brief feeling.

I honestly thought it was rated R when I went to see it, was profoundly surprised by how little gore, blood and nudity there was, until I got back home and looked the movie up. My original post was clarifying that I was contributing to the thread topic by stating that a Japanese person who grew up with and loves the anime felt that the character presented was too different from the original to be recognizable. That was the main takeaway: no mention of asian actresses or lack of nudity.
