Can someone give me quick rundown on why Friends is so beloved?
It's on tv constantly and over the years I've probably watched several seasons worth of episodes, some several times, and I don't understand the appeal. It's not funny at, the jokes are terrible, almost tbbt levels of shit

The first few seasons are actually genuinely good watching
just a show about friend dynamics in New York with fuck loads of charm
Then they all get flanderised and loses a bit of quality, but they're still the same characters
I find some of the overarching storylines a bit weak later on after monica and chandler get together (thought that this was forced, based off the success of ross and rachel)
but post season 4 there's still some absolute classic moments that you can talk about
I find the hallmark of a good sitcom is talking about it with people and moments you can recollect along the lines of 'remember that episode where ross and joey nap together'
That along with things like actually making a moist maker in real life, playing a lightning round style quiz with your friends to settle disputes etc
