The only one is that they decided to have Finn mature over time. He used to be a wild almost feral kid with broken teeth from biting rocks, and he could fight good. Adventure Time is just about the most masculine kids show there is. Promotes vigilance, violence, occultism, multiethnicism and all the beautiful old world ideals. The earlier seasons had such a sense of wonder and and an innocent charm.

Then it started taking itself far too seriously, hamfisting symbology and going art house with certain episodes, it just became pseudo intellectual bollocks. It lost its charm when it got new writers.

I'm not saying all female writers are bad but they've fucked up so many shows I like now.

The second it's always sunny gets girl writers, boom goes to shit.

In the earlier seasons the people involved genuinely looked like they were enjoying what they are making.

It was simple, charming and any larger point was a secondary feature of your enjoyment of an episode.

Regular Show and Gumball are pretty good too. Haven't seen 'em all, I only watch them with my nephew, but I actually really enjoy them.

Very competent voice acting, good kid-friendly jokes that don't alienate adults, all around well made programs.
