What does /tv/ think of season 5 of Samurai Jack?

They took it too far with the silly Aku this ep desu, though I do like what they're going for with it (Aku is bored and has no purpose without fighting Jack).

First ep of this season found the right balance of comedy and grit.

just watched both new episodes. the comedy with Aku was done nicely, but the wolf metaphor in the last episode was retarded. idk everyone holds this show in such high regard as if it's "unique" when it is just shounen anime tropes with less talking/exposition.

Jack's voice actor is terrible as well. least convincing efforts at PTSD / craziness.

the chase/fight scene in second episode was so good. music was amazing. silly aku was funny while also doing a great job advancing the story and giving insight into aku's character. nice comedy b4 super srs rest of episode. 9/10 episode.

This. I'm a fan of the show but even I realize only maybe 25% of the eps have rewatch value. And the only reason I'm followinh S5 is for nostalgia/12 year old me is still waiting to see jack gwt back to the past
