At least DC and Marvel Studios are diversifying it's roster of superheroes. More than a decade and a half of Wolverine movies, that includes the main X-men films and they focus on the one white guy.

Really, if they did what marvel does with their movies, DC could have some good movies again. In X-Men: DoFP, the diverse X-men team of the future get no character development and are killed a number of times. At least many of the sidekicks in the Marvel Studios films are given some depth and are important to the plots of the films, they aren't just there solely to provide flashy action sequences like the secondary X-Men of DoFP. Guardians of the Galaxy has a team ensemble and the character building isn't just relegated to the white dude leading the team, they all or most of them grow as characters, and that's just one movie.
