Neither have I, and to be honest, after the 9th/10th episode, it's really not worth it anyway.
It's actually pretty agreed upon that season 9 episode 2 was the worst episode made, and it went downhill from there.

I never got that far. I somewhat lost interest in it during the mid '90s, but it was not because there was some discernible dip in quality; I just kept forgetting to watch it until eventually I simply stopped.

Fair enough, I've not seen every episode in the first 10 season myself either, but I have a friend where, if you give him a quote he'll give you character scenario and episode.
sometimes he can even give you the time IN the episode.
He just, loves it.

I love a lot of the music and some of the one liners are just amazing and... it's just a good show up till then you know?

I am still mad that he never made even the remotest effort to recruit me into the cult. I could not have made more clear that I was a man desperately in need of an ideology. "Oh, Northern, nothing is working out for me. If only there was something to believe in, some structure, some simple way to get into Equestria."

Hiya Urshula!
I'm doing good, just tired really, finished my 2nd final today, 5 questions, but damn it felt like it would never end, also he got us 2 questions(worth most points) from outside the book (2 midterms he only got questions directly from the book) so that was a shocker to everyone, but it was similar to some of those questions so we knew how to get by... and I think I did pretty good!
still got 2 more exams, but luckily they're next week.. and then I'm finally done with uni!

Haha trust me, we had like 16 pages of formula sheets with us, it was crazy, a bit harder than we expected, but I got most of the high-score questions right, each question is about 2-3 pages of writing to solve, just glad I'm finally done with it

I hear tulpas are a very bad idea. I don't want to lose a large portion of my brain's functionality for an intangible personality inside my head. I want the real deal instead.
>>
>>9014443
Hear me out... I know the concept may seem crazy or cringy to some, but it's actually a pretty enriching experience and can help you down the road to better yourself. The threads and the movement gained a lot of traction back in 2012 on the /mlp/ board and it's grown since. Even if you think it's crazy, I recommend just looking into it. I see a few people here that seem to have depression issues, and things of that ilk, and a tulpa might help you be able to get past that. Just a thought.

I made one, and developed paranoia schizophrenia. I wouldn't recommend it

That's wildly misinformed. It won't cause you to lose a large portion of your brain's functionality. It's literally meditation exercises and bringing another sentient being into existence through concentrated will. There have been people who have tulpa that've enriched their lives and helped them get through trauma, or even suicidal thoughts. There's also nothing stopping you from having "the real deal" once you have a tulpa. They can actually help you get through anxiety and it may even lead to you having "real" friends.
>>
>>9014443
I'm not out of the loop to consider it really. I care more about my music, videogames and day to day things that I can actually see and touch. Guess I've become more a realist over the last few years.
I used to have imaginary friends pop up in my childhood though that felt real and that made my life weird for a long while.

In the culture Tulpas come from, which is Buddhist monk tradition, they are used to build up false gods in ones head in order to learn to overcome and transcend the delusion. >Schizophrenia is genetic
Autism isn't genetic, and schizophrenia is basically autism with hallucinations that onsets later in life. No sane person wants to be identified as schizophrenic.
>>
>>9014586
Why would a being you create in your mind want to hurt you at all? That would be harmful to them as well, seeing as how you are the vessel through which they experience the world. It does take a bit of effort and time, though.
>>9014588
A tulpa is basically a self imposed hallucination that you create through concentrated meditation practices. Eventually, this being you create develops free will and can interact with you in any way you wish, really. Tulpa know you better than you know yourself, and can help you with a wide range of issues. Also, they can be lifelong friends that stay by you even in your hardest times.

Because it's not a being. It's a falsehood that doesn't have any checks or balances. It has no real survival instinct. It is not a real person. It is a delusion you create for yourself. Nothing more.

>>9014692

>>9014699
What kind of backward thinking is that? Autism does have a genetic basis, and also once again you cannot give yourself schizophrenia.
>>9014680
Speaking as someone who has had tulpa for over 5 years now, and has multiple friends with tulpa, and is in a relationship and currently living with someone with a tulpa, I can tell you. Unless you have some sort of deeply rooted psychiatric disorder that causes you to have incoherently violent tendencies, your tulpa shouldn't hurt you. The only way a tulpa would be evil or try to hurt you is if YOU created them that way.

You speak with such certainty considering you've never created one, much less spoken to anyone with a tulpa until just now. May I ask how you came to these conclusions and how you are so sure?

I get that. That's why it was just a suggestion. I just wanted to throw it out there and see who was interested. If you don't want to create a tulpa, that's your choice. I'm just speaking from experience when I say it's a rewarding and enriching experience and anything you've seen screencapped talking about how terrible tulpa are and one tried to take over their body and kill their family, then those were bullshit. They were creepypastas to get people to believe that tulpa were a bad idea because different things scare people.

>Have any of you considered making a tulpa?
I haven't. They sound dangerous.
>>
>>9014793
Incorrect. There are a million ways that this can go wrong, not to mention the effect it has on your deeper functions.

As someone who 'has had tulpa' for over five years, I'm happy yours is stable, but not everyone's is. Fucking up at any point in the process leads to unpredictable and quite often catastrophic results. Furthermore, they do have the power to alter and fuck with your mind in any way they wish. Bear in mind that if you create a Tulpa and for any reason it becomes upset with you at any point, you lose the argument, you lose control, you lose yourself. You sound like someone who has no idea what you're actually talking about.

>>9014838
You think I've never spoken to anyone with a Tulpa? I see you're even better at deluding yourself than I thought.
>>
>>9014845
>Schizophrenia and austism are not basically the same.
Both may exhibit social ineptness, unusual physical or oral mannerisms, believing things that can be proven false, lack of or improper emotion, and anxiety/depression. Really it only comes down to two differences: Hallucinations and age of onset. Schizophrenia has visual/auditory hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that look/sound real but aren't there) and autism doesn't. Schizophrenia typically onsets in the late teens or early 20s, but autism is there from birth.
>>
>>9014875
>anything you've seen screencapped talking about how terrible tulpa are and one tried to take over their body and kill their family, then those were bullshit.
Indeed, your anecdotal evidence is far more valuable.
>>
>>9014886
>Bear in mind that if you create a Tulpa and for any reason it becomes upset with you at any point, you lose the argument, you lose control, you lose yourself.

This is why it's used as a method of training self-control and mental fortitude, incidentally.

>>9014886
There are ways it can go wrong, yes. But you would have to be trying to create a tulpa that was malicious or inherently bad for things to go wrong. Please cite me some of these "catastrophic" tulpa instances that ruined people's lives. If you do not already have some sort of psychological condition that hinders your ability to have empathy, or causes you to be violent and irrational, then creating a tulpa should be a pleasant experience. A tulpa would have no reason to "fuck up your mind" if you disagree with them. That would fuck up the mind the live in. Once again, self destructive. I can see you're against it, but you're clearly misled about what tulpa are.
>>
>>9014926
One or two creepypastas < The experiences of countless hundreds of other individuals that have claimed to have had their lives enriched and made better by the experience. True, anecdotal evidence is not completely accurate. But 200 anecdotal positive experiences vs. 3 or 4 negative ones should be an indicator that perhaps it's overall a positive experience? You shouldn't let the exception dictate your opinion over the matter.
>>
>>9014969
That is 100% incorrect. All you have to do is create any kind of tulpa that's goals are not 100% perfectly aligned with your own. Reason is not always on the menu. Furthermore, them 'fucking' with your mind does not always impede functionality. They can alter aspects of your personality without you ever knowing it's happening. They can change you without you having any say in it, if they want to. And again, they have no real survival instinct. If they decide they don't like you (As a delusion) then they can and will fuck you up because /they're not alive/.

>>
>>9015017
No, it really isn't. Especially since none of these people even prove that they have a tulpa.
It is all absolutely worthless.
>>
>>9015023
I respect your opinion, but it's wildly incorrect given the multitudes of evidence I've seen to the contrary and the 0 sources you've provided me showing how terrible they are and how they WILL do these things. I have been in the tulpa community for a while and while I have heard (very, very rarely) of things going wrong, there have been far, far more people saying how it's helped them overcome anxiety, social disorders, fears, and a multitude of other things. One common denominator in all of the negative experiences is that the subject of said terrible tale always had some sort of mental disorder before they started to create the tulpa. Either way, I can see I'm not convincing you.

Sick burn, bro. Ya got me.
You also seem bound and determined not to try new things, and I get that. It's scary to do so. Being a teenager is hard.
Kidding.
My original post was just a suggestion. No one has to try it if they don't want to. I simply wanted to say that it was a positive experience for me, my boyfriend, and all the dozens of people with tulpa I've met through the years I've done this. It can be strange and scary to a lot of people, I get that. But I for one am glad I did it. Once again... not trying to convert anyone. You don't have to try it if you don't want to, but if you don't want to try it, maybe just read about it? It's pretty interesting as a phenomenon all on it's own. Either way, I gotta head out now. Thanks for listening. Enjoy your thread, guys.
