I think what people need to realize is that it's not the quality, it's the effort you put into whatever it is you're doing. people think they can write one well-written one off and suddenly become popular. A good example of what I'm trying to say being Weaver. His art's been mediocre at best for almost a decade, but people still defend him to their graves, simply because of the sheer amount of effort he's put into all the shit he's done for a decade. He's practically sold his soul at this point, and he (rightfully) is loved by many people, both in this general and elsewhere. Or look at you. You started drawing, what 3 months ago? You art is, and lets not beat around the bush, pretty poor, but considering you literally haven't even been drawing for a half a year, I wouldn't expect anything more. If you want to complain about soft canon, well, surprise, thread-darling Violet is also soft-canon because she comes from a comic series and not the original reference material (the film).

Essentially, the Stinky Cheese Caper, the Crime Files game, and the Comics Collection are all canon.

What soft canon means is that if Zootopia 2 or a TV show happens and there's some information that directly contradicts things in the three sources listed above (such as Nick saying "we've never done a jailbreak case before" - that would make Stinky Cheese Caper non-canon) then viola, some details of these sources become non canon.
