One important thing he should look into is learning how to construct a cartoon character by using basic shapes AND perspective. Your friend should also try improving his line confidence by drawing long(curved/straight) lines and circles everyday to prevent any chicken scratch in the future.

Which ones would be the main characters? I dont get the hate this artist gets, the animation is nice and it has a nice look to it all. Whats the problem exactly. Explain in detail outside of "I dont like it" thats not a valid reason to call someone a hack just because you dont like what they put out when its perfectly fine and above average quality.

Personally I find the animation to be kind of "choppy" I believe the phrase is.
Basically looks like her animation often lacks in certain frames, which I find weird watching. It looks static and fake beyond anything I've seen in animation. I also notice how proportions in certain frames change for any moving characters, which again, makes it uncomfortable to watch.
Her art is another thing I dislike. Her use of colours seems to be all over the place for characters here and there.
Too vibrant and often come off as an eye sore personally, and a lot of her character designs do not make any sense, mostly in regards to anatomy and how their bodies function. I can understand what Tim Burton did and why he did something like that with his art style, but I just personally hate the whole stick limb meme. Seems to be some cheap attempt to look proficient when really there seems to be a lack of understanding about art from the artist.
Also, she's inconsistent as fuck.
