This thread is better.

Na this thread is better and doesn't have shit meme a OP
Who are these guys?
>>6429278
Cybertron Crumplezone and Ransack.
>>6429286
Are they actually buddies or do they just compliment eachother
Will hasbro will reveal anything new or exciting here ahead of their very first hascon?
>>6429288
They were the comedy duo in Cybertron
>Power of the prime is just titans return without the faceplate on the back
Other thread is kill
I would just like to say that I am very excited for a potential new abominus
>the shitty forced headmaster gimmick will finally be over
>>6429433
Hoi doi I hope it continues so you can be salty year round.
>Titan masters go away
>New combination of Powermasters/Targetmasters/Breastforce take their place.
>Each new master is centered around being a different natural element. Every transformer now comes with clear orange/ clear blue/Clear green/clear pink plastic featured heavily on the weapons.
>>6429433
>powermasters roll along
>people still complain about partsforming
>>6429452
>Each new master is centered around being a different natural element. Every transformer now comes with clear orange/ clear blue/Clear green/clear pink plastic featured heavily on the weapons.
The fuck, so we Bionicles now?
>>6429452
>Each new master is centered around being a different natural element. Every transformer now comes with clear orange/ clear blue/Clear green/clear pink plastic featured heavily on the weapons.
That... would be kinda awesome.
I was always a big fan of elemental rock-paper-scissors shit ever since the days of Battle Beasts.
Yo somebody post that TR windblade pic that just got deleted.
>>6429452
>my uncle works at hasbro
sure thing Johnny.
>>6429292
The first wave of PotP figures are already unpacked and ready to unveil tomorrow.
I got a second Swindle for cheap, I dunno why. Basically getting him was the cheapest way to get a Blast Off he was being sold with since it was $30 and free shipping for the bundle.
What should I do with him since I have 2?
>>6429489
Give bruticus a pair of skates.
>>6429489
I have 3 Swindle. You gotta get 2 more to form Cheapicus Maximus
>>6429503
Who's the torso?
>>6429510
I would go with Skylynx because how much of asshole he is Or Onslaught
>>6429239
Nothing new yet. When does stuff go up for sale on HTS?
>>6429520
Whenever the seventh dimension collides with a blackhole and creates a quantum causality loop wherein HTS actually fucking has something in stock for more than a day.
>>6429455
I will always complain about partsforming. Hell, I hate fucking guns that store away. Then what? I have to remove it from the figure and place it in the hand manually? Fucking partsforming bullshit.
>>6429539
And this, folks, is exactly why we can't have nice things.
The SDCC display is up. New figures will be there tomorrow.
>>6429433
>it will be replaced by some terrible, intrusive gimmick like CW had, so I can finally go back to not caring about retail shit and save my money for MPs and 3Ps
Thank god. I was tired of having so much fun.
>>6429549
I liked CW :(
I CAN'T WAIT FOR PICTURES TO KILL OFF LEAK MEMEPOSTING. And if the new gimmick is a take on Powermasters, I'll shit a brick. Titan Masters were supposed to absorb all the 'master' gimmicks and Powermasters are inherently awful.
Cogman looking pretty good.
>>6429561
And the new deluxe Bee from a more flattering angle.
>>6429557
Who is the staked NOT Kamina on the left?
>>6429549
except the CW gimmick was less intrusive than the TR gimmick you retard. Ignore the combining gimmick on Sky Lynx and it's still a perfectly good Sky Lynx toy. Ignore the headmaster gimmick on Galvatron and you're still stuck with a partsforming piece of shit with a terrible compromised head with no neck articulation.
RiD Twinferno gets a Legion class figure
>>6429569
>>6429530
Dang. Well, I hope I atleast TRY to get Sk8er Boi Prime.
>>6429601
Who? I don't watch Prime? Or is that the "new" RID?
Animation models for the new show were revealed today. The new Transformers More Than Meets the Eye logo is on display at the SDCC booth.
>>6429572
>>6429569
>still waiting in the US for Misfire/Windblade/Twintwist
Feels bad, man.
>>6429625
The logo is for the next mainline after RID, not the gay comics
>>6429606
Dreadwing from Transformers Prime. His Cyberverse figure was nice
>>6429637
The Voyager was pretty good too, but his weapon sucked.
Least he got a sword.
>>6429625
>In case you were wondering how they could kill the franchise, here's your answer!
It will save it because it'll give all the old faggot geewunners heart attacks from their spergouts. Then only beast wars and gay robots lovers will survive, it will be glorious.
>>6429557
Never knew Megatron could look so fuckable
>>6429648
Where all my unicorn trilogy niggas at?
>>6429625
Transformers survived re-runs, a hiatus, Beast Machines, Michiyamenotehi Funana, Bayformers, Windblade, and completely tanked the marxist agenda of the comics industry.
Get over it, dude.
>>6429616
It'a a G1 reboot?
>>6429664
Someday we'll get our MP Armada Prime
>>6429570
Except it's not. The transformations in CW were absolute trash, and articulation was below-par across the board. Meanwhile, TR has given us clever and impressive stuff like Triggerhappy, Topspin, Kup and Twinferno. All of which are completely unique to each other.
For some reason, you're just more triggered by removable heads than you are by generally bad figures, which is sad, and says a lot about the general levels of ignorance in the fandom.
Is Toys R Us gonna stock MP10 Optimus online at midnight EST or PST or later?
The only CW gestalt that didn't suck was Superion.
>>6429572
Oh wow. A picture that doesn't make Misfire's plastic look like hot garbage.
>>6429698
Lighting matters a lot, Anon.
>>6429700
Nothing can save that Blurr.
>>6429692
>Except it's not. The transformations in CW were absolute trash
Nope. They were as simple as they needed to be. Especially since CW actually did a way better job about making the combiner line about combiners unlike TR just forcing in random shit from John Warden's wet dream. The voyagers and leaders still had good, unique transformations and also unlike TR they didn't shove the gimmick into the leader class toys when they didn't need it just to make the toy worse.
>than you are by generally bad figures
The forced partsforming heads make them bad and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't actually add anything meaningful to the toy.
>>6429700
Eh. That actually kind of makes his plastic look worse. I'm never a fan of that metallic flake shit they add to plastic sometimes. Just ends up looking cheap and swirly.
>>6429691
So many people voting for Dai Atlas in that poll and Sky Garry not even cracking the Top 10.
>>6429700
That's a cool Blurr prototype anon! Where did you find it? It must have been an expensive find!
>>6429705
>Nope. They were as simple as they needed to be.
But... that's bad. Fucking listen to yourself. An entire size class was compromised in order to be able to form an arm or a leg. Voyagers were still a mixed bag. Silverbolt was okay, but Motormaster was complete trash, ESPECIALLY as a torso. And 9 times out of 10 most of the combiners needed third party add ons to look halfway decent.
And the leader class toys of CW were some of the fucking worst of all time. Incredibly simplified to Legends-class levels of simplicity. In fact, the CW Seeker legends mold pretty much outclassed the CW seeker leader mold in every way.
>the forced partsforming heads make them bad 9 times out of 10
But.. why though? Headmasters are a thing. If you hate the whole idea of Headmasters, then that's one thing. It doesn't mean the toyline is shit just because you don't like it. It doesn't monopolize the figure in any way like combining did. It actually added play value because now individual figures had cockpits and pilots for vehicle mode.
Why are headmasters bad? Just because you're triggered that characters that aren't canonically headmasters now are?
>>6429719
Motormaster was a fine robot and vehicle, it was only his torso mode that was complete trash.
>>6429724
>and vehicle
Don't fool yourself. As long as Motormaster is an Optimus repaint, his truck mode will continue to be horrible.
>>6429719
>Combiner Wars was trash because everyone was combiners
>Titans Return is fine though even though everyone is Headmasters, to an even further extent than CW took the "everyone" part
Combiners are a thing. If you hate the whole idea of Combiners, that's one thing. It doesn't mean the toyline is shit just because you don't like it. It actually added play value because now individual figures can combine for a great whole.
I like both CW and TR, but your arguments are pure opinion and complete trash.
>>6429708
It was for Autobot leaders only.
>>6429730
Except having to combine made every deluxe class figure forgettable garbage. How does having a removable head affect TR deluxes? It actually facilitated some pretty great molds, and none of them were really negatively impacted by having a mandatory cockpit.
>>6429691
Fire Convoy still holds up really well in terms of being a figure, he barely needs a full masterpiece treatment outside of a few things. The armor could clip on better, and maybe some improved hands in armored mode.
>>6429557
9/11 would smash twice and never forget
>>6429730
The entire deluxe class was oversimplified just for the sake of transforming either as a an arm or a leg, making almost every deluxe class a repaint and/or remold of previous characters, making them forgettable in design
What are QC shit to look out for for Hot Rod? Might bite the bullet and grab him this week
>>6429719
>An entire size class was compromised in order to be able to form an arm or a leg.
Because that's part of what the characters were. A Swindle toy wouldn't be a real Swindle toy if it didn't also transform into a limb. If you wanted more complex shit there were three (3) other size classes to choose from.
>Motormaster was complete trash
only in the torso mode. It's a completely serviceable Motormaster toy individually.
>the combiners needed third party add ons to look halfway decent.
at least I have an option for making them look decent, unlike TR which are permanently stuck with trashy heads.
>Headmasters are a thing
Yeah, maybe for all of like eight characters they did that were actually headmasters. But for everyone else no.
>But.. why though?
Partsforming. Head silhouettes ruined. Articulation ruined. You can't look at Scourge or Astrotrain and tell me with a straight face that it looks better with all that headmaster shit hanging behind their faces. Or Krok's and Nautica's head shapes being completely wrong because they're forced to be squares. Or Overlord having black bits showing and a wrong helmet shape because of the shitty gimmick.
>It doesn't monopolize the figure in any way like combining did
Yes it does. I can ignore the combining gimmick. I can't ignore headmasters.
>It actually added play value
So did combiner wars except the "added play value" was actually something good instead of
>DUDE I CAN CHANGE THIS HEAD INTO AN UNPAINTED ROBOT AND MOVE IT TO THIS CAVITY WHERE I CAN'T EVEN SEE IT LMAO
>>6429728
The truck mode is fine though.
I get the feeling that one of you likes TR and the other one likes CW.
>>6429781
No one here likes any transfomers
>>6429781
>CW/UW
>actually ended up releasing all the vehicle based season 1-3 combiner teams
>didn't force the gimmick into leader class toys for no reason
>gimmick pretty much gave you an extra larger toy
>titan class figure that's one of the best devastator figures ever made (official and unofficial)
>TR
>DUDE UNPAINTED TINY ROBOTS LMAO
>DUDE REBIRTH CHARACTERS THAT AREN'T HEADMASTERS LMAO
>DUDE VOYAGERS AND LEADERS HAVE TINY HEADS WITH LE WACKY HELMETS AND NECK BRACES NOW LMAO
>DUDE NO SNAPDRAGON, APEFACE, AND HEADMASTER JUNIORS ARE JUST HEADS NOW LMAO
>one titan figure is just a metroplex knock off while the other is riddled with engineering issues
It's clear which was the better line.
>>6429719
>>the forced partsforming heads make them bad 9 times out of 10
>But..
Fucking listen to YOURSELF. Added play value? Why, couldn't the vehicles drive around without a pilot before? Forget about how practically none of the headmaster even have their eyes painted and are 1-2 solid blocks of color. And it IS retarded that they couldn't do all of the canonical headmasters but had to botch guys like Soundwave that should've been in Classics or Universe a decade ago. Just because you're OK with it doesn't make it OK. Stop being triggered because somebody else is triggered.
>>6429739
>none of them were really negatively impacted by having a mandatory cockpit
GALVATRON DISAGREES.
>>6429539
I'll keep complaining until we get actual accurate mass shifting toys
>>6429810
This. Also, mold defects have been way worse in TR. Bobblehead Scourge/Highbrow spring to mind. Also, trusting in Hasbro plastic is a really bad gamble at this point, and the entire gimmick of the line is 'force this uneven peg into a hole'. Pretty soon, they're all going to be bobbleheads if they can even hold their heads on period.
>>6429810
I think TR is better just because Takara is doing Targetmasters out of them.
Targetmasters > Headmasters >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Combiners
>>6429810
Why are you taking in account UW but not takara kegend headmasters?
I see all of them, hasbro and takara as "generations" some good, some dad, but love the line.
Post your top 3 Transformers lines while we wait for PotP reveals.
1. Cybertron
2. RotF
3. G1

>Motormaster's alt mode
>Cab only
Pick one and only one.
>>6429810
>titan class figure that's one of the best devastator figures ever made
It is terribly oversized, hollow, and the Constructicons got neutered articulation and and compromised robot mode in Long Haul's case.
>>6429867
Cyberton wasn't my favorite but the variety of alt modes in that line was fantastic.
CW Devastator and Liokaiser should have been formed from 6 deluxes. But I haven't seen Victory, so whereas I skipped Devastator I still really like Liokaiser for his paintjob and the new heads.
All Motormaster's that are repaints/retools of Optimus are garbage.
He needs his big stupid cab feet.
1. G1. Lasted the longest and had the most variety of styles and gimmicks. Plus, my two favorite TF cartoons are from this era: the original series and Master Force.
2. Beast Wars. Fan boys think it's cool to mock it today, but this was the first 30 minute toy commercial to win an Emmy. So, haters can get stuffed.
3. Animated. The designs were unique and the toys were amazingly close to the animation models.
>>6429897
>hollow
This is a good thing because it makes the combined mode less heavy and less likely to topple over.
>and the Constructicons got neutered articulation
Stop buying the shitty Hasbro toys.
>>6429907
Muh nigga.
>>6429912
>Fan boys think it's cool to mock it today
Show was mocked from the beginning dude. It was and continues to be one of the most divisive entries in the franchise.
>>6429912
I hate-liked Beast Wars back when I was a kid. Even before I turned 10 I knew that era's CG looked like utter shit. I hated looking at ReBoot and Beast Wars but I watched them despite the crime against my eyes.
The toys were cool, though.
>>6429956

Anon is not wrong though. I always thought Sega had the right idea with the Saturn originally being designed as a super 2D system. That generation's 3D was a crime. Just look at the huge difference between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. it's like night and day.

>Rodimus Prime leader figure will be heavy heavy retool of PMOP/Ultra Magnus
>Winnebago trailer shall become weapon platform like G1 toy for one mode and will become lower body for powered up mode similar to Overlord/Sky Shadow
>Rodimus "cab" becomes stand alone figure and can also transform into torso
>Predaking entirely new mold nothing pretooled with any other known combiner or figure
>G1 Roadblock will be third use of Overlord/Sky Shadow mold
>Legs will be retooled tank to resemble the original battle car
>Jet will resemble inner pretender vehicle
>Will come with a new master figure that will resemble the inner gold robot
>Chest retooled from Overlord can fit more master figures inside
>No headmaster gimmick all Titans Return leader figures were originally designed to be retooled for Power of The Primes. This is why Soundwave/Blaster, Six Shot, and Overlord/Sky Shadow all can transform with their head intact.
>Throttlebots, Sparkbots, and Firecons will be new legends figures after Beachcomber and Outback are releases. Thrilling 30 Swerve is getting a re-release minus target master mini-con and original autobot emblem. Rest of the insections are coming too and will be spread out throughout wave 6 of Titans Return and future waves of Power of the Primes
>Gift set boxes will continue for both Titans Return and Power of The Primes. Fan Choice Voting this year will be on a full "team" of fan favorite autobot or decepticon characters
>Power of The Primes will have two Titan class figures as well
>Inferno and Grapple will be present in Power of The Primes
>Jazz and Sideswipe/Red Alert will be getting a new figure(they will be heavy retools of each other like Scourge and Highbrow)
>The two Battlechargers will be both legends class figures based on the Throttlebot mold retools
>Remaining Targetmasters shall be spread across remaining wave and Power of the Primes despite having different gimmicks from each other, some will be different size classes

Also, post /tfg/-related OC, we don't get a lot of it around here.

>>6430088
On a related note, is this mold worth buying? I don't have too much of an interest in Alligned figures (not that they're bad toys but I already feel like I got my dose of Prime / RiD figures for permanent display) but this "Rumble" does look really cool regardless of his rapist chest.
>>6430094
Holy fuck.
So, how long until SDCC figures drop?
>>6430089
Nobody cares about the comics anymore so it'll probably never be made.
>>6430049

lol, I said this two or three threads ago and got laughed at
>>6430118

>>6430120
That makes me wonder, are we heading for a world where no one cares about Transformers? The films are sharply dropping in box office profit, the comics are getting cancelled and the toys are getting progressively cheaper and staler. Dark times might be ahead of us.
>>6430086
looks neat, i think i also want one
>>6430049
>>Rodimus Prime leader figure will be heavy heavy retool of PMOP/Ultra Magnus
This is obviously fake but it still sounds so bad that it might as well end up being Hasbro's approach.
>>6430128
I feel like action figures in general are becoming less popular. I guess we'll have to wait for another beast wars to help revive the series
>>6430128
Bumblebee will save the franchise by being an actual good movie in spite of it's forced diversity cast.
>>6430130
she even has a non-space knight deco ready for mold reuse
>>6430141
God, I really want to believe the Bee movie is the Batman Begins of Transformers, but while the director is solid and the setting is interesting, there's always the looming shadow of Hasbro ready to fuck things up somehow.
It just worries me so much, what's going to be the future for my beloved autistic transforming robots?
>>6430147
So like everyone who loves Artfire or Rodimus right?
>>6430151
Yes
I hope Predaking doesn't suck because the current "best" version Feral Rex is pretty shit.
So I was thinking of buying TLK's Megatron in sometime. Should I get the voyager or leader class figure?
>>6430165
Voyager is better. The OS KO of the voyager is the best version though.
>>6430165
Leader has rubber parts so it's a no-go for me.
>>6430144
no thanks
>>6430150
>what's going to be the future for my beloved autistic transforming robots?

>>6430166
Speaking of voyager class, does anyone got the video where you combine the legion class megatron to the voyager's fusion cannon?
>>6430127

I'll be scooting off to bed, hopefully there's some neat figure reveals waiting for me tomorrow. Good night /tfg/, let's all collectively hope these are the ones that end up not sucking!

>I don't mind the gimmick itself, it's just that the head connectors doesn't feel proper on my figures.
I wish they made connectors spring-loaded for easy attachment/detachment. But of course they decided to go with using a single piece of plastic that will get bent out of shape or break over time.
Thanks HasTak.

Shit, are you me ? I was generally a very stupid kid, but I remember seeing the first generations of 3d games and I didnt understand what people saw in them. I thought they were a step back, most of them looked sooo ugly.
Seeing people on tv going apeshit over Virtua Fighter was one of the most puzzling moments in my life. "looks like a bunch of cubes awkwardly moving around ! Street Fighter II looks better thant his !"
I never got into beast wars but I was never a fan of cgi animated shows. I miss classic animation. Animated was pretty good.

It's kinda funny how Twinferno's transformation is so simple that the legion is almost a scaled down version.
>>6430450
No, the Rescue Bot character came first.
>>6429561
That fucking grey plastic again. Is it cheaper than regular plastic or something? Did Hasbro buy a ship full of it ten years ago? Why do they keep using it?
>>6429569

I don't really remember things in terms of "lines". The only one I can think of cohesively enough to say that I liked it as a whole is Titans Return.
>>6429818
Not the TR boosting anon but wanted to post in support of him. TR is a fun line, and if you can't see that then you have your head up your own autistic ass. Also no business sense. If you want slavish adherence to G1 you have the MP line and 3rd parties now. The main Classics/Generations/whatever line should always be a bit more experimental, otherwise the entire franchise will get driven into the ground with the same fucking figures overlapping.
Besides, you may not realize this, having grown up with TF Prime, but the original G1 figures were all based around the conceit of having pilots. It always bugged me that G1 Prime had five cockpits and no figures to fit in them.
Finally, your point about the figures being unpainted is moot, unless you're too much of a poorfag to buy the Takara releases.
>>6430126
I believe it. It's exactly something that Hasbro would do.
>>6430592
Same thing here, sadly enough. It's almost as cheap of an idea as making a Starscream, a Thundercracker and a Skywarp out of a Jetfire mold, which means it's totally plausible for modern Hasbro standards.

>>6430621
They're good enough for me, I'm just getting sick of seeing them clogging space where other stuff I want to buy could otherwise go. I had to go out of state to find Rodimus and Triggerhappy months back, and still never found a Getaway. I'd really like a Misfire but not about to drop $30 on some ebay fag for one.
I just can't understand what the fuck that Walmart was thinking, in mid-december all pegs were filled to the brim with wave 1, in addition to a center-aisle display jammed with as many more as they could cram in.
>>6430624
You cannot legitimately tell me Hasbro Blurr is better than Takara Blurr.
That one is objective, rest is subjective.
>>6430617
We got one store that's had Wave 1 Voyagers ever since they arrived.
The weirdest part is that it's pretty much the only store that stocked Titans Return, and it only did so once.
>>6430629
the extra color REALLY makes the mold look better.
>>6430633
Weird, I had just assumed my local store had over-estimated the christmas season and over-ordered, but now I'm not sure what to think. The even stranger part is that there's hardly any movie toys at my local stores right now, the deluxes are on a top peg out of the way with the TR stuff all front-and-center. I would think that Hasbro would rather the movie stuff get top billing right now, given the movie being in theaters. Someone's been shot in the foot here and I'm not sure who did the shooting or who's foot is bleeding.
>>6430629
One thing I've really liked on Takara's TR releases is how clear their transparent plastic is compared to Hasbro's. It makes it easier to see the headmasters in the cockpits, and since the headmasters have painted faces, you actually WANT to see them. It's a small touch that makes the figures look a lot nicer.
>>6430627
I'm not usually someone who's buy the Takara version, but I'd recommend waiting for Takara to fix Getaway. The Hasbro Breakaway is just a bad toy. They don't have the nostalgic feelings for the Powermasters that Takara does, since they was never a cartoon with them here, so they really half assed the toy.
>>6430646
>waiting for Takara to fix Getaway
Takara won't release Getaway. They typically don't bother with straight repaints.
>>6430646
I've never bothered with takara stuff, the differences have never been enough to make me go out of my way to pay more for slightly prettier toys, I'm 90% a shelf-shopper anyway.
That said, Getaway looks like he's missing some color here.
Just got MPM Prime. He's a pretty amazing figure in most ways. Unfortunately I'm having a really hard time enjoying primarily because I'm completely sperging out over his face. It looks so bad
>>6430681
I really thought I wanted this guy, but all the QC and tabbing/locking issues I've heard about have made him an easy pass, along with Bee.
Then I realized all I really wanted was an alternate-generation, long-nose semi Optimus, and just decided to buy pic related.
>>6430694
I just wish that one's truck mode looked real and not toy like.
>shitload of TLK Wave 1 toys everywhere
>none of them budging
This is Dark of the Moon all over again...
But hey, new announcements today. Come onnnnn Firecons.
>>6430698
Same. A G2-inspired bot mode and movie inspired alt mode would be awesome.
My only other issue with that 3p one is I wish his shoulders did /something/. I obviously want him to have his big shoulder towers, but I wish there was some collapsing or something going on in them.
>>6430698
Eh. Apart from the arms jutting out of the sides, it's really not that "toy-like".
Besides, toy-like is what G2 was all about.
>>6430694
B-but just like bee, I don't have any QC issues whatsoever. If you don't want them, that's fine but QC is a really bad reason to not get them
All my issues are with sculpt and proportion. Things that usually fade when I start playing with the toy
>>6430716
I also don't really want them. I don't like MP Bee's color, and I've managed 10 years without buying any form of movie Prime, as close as I may have come sometimes. I just really like the idea of owning cross-generational forms of characters, it would have been neat to display them with their G1 MP counterparts, but I've realized I don't actually want them for the figures themselves.
>>6430681
Hey, it's kinda nice to see how well MP Bee blends with HA Jazz in the background, actually. Do you have pics of them together?
>>6430694
imho, as far as aesthetic goes, the Generations is still my favorite Laser Prime around. He has terrible tabbing issues but both the robot and the vehicle look fucking awesome. That 3P does look really good but like >>6430698 says, while I'm not an apologist for cartoony designs, I really can't stand excessively toy-ish MPs either.
>>6430708
Just my personal tastes. I like mp figures for realistic alt modes, main reason I enjoy movie bots, I don't mind cartoony robots but I try to have consistency a bit in my collection.
Also I'd like to say holy hell bee and op both have a lot of bare gray.
I just fucking know these are going to get a more premium release someday but I'm not trying to turn old and gray waiting for figures.
I'll deal with ops face cuz this figure makes me really sentimental. Back in 08 I had the entire movie line just about and a burglar took all my belongings including my figures. I always told myself not to worry bc a much nicer version of these figures would come along one day and here they are
>tfw I liked bee so much I assembled the movie cast in a week
>>6429075
Holy shit, I didn't even know those three guys were a combiner when I posted that pic.
>>6430698
>>6430726
I guess I'm really not seeing what's "excessively toy-ish" about this. Even if it was, seeing as it's a character who only ever existed as a toy, I don't care about the theme, or the toyline, or consistency. I just like cool toys.
>>6430737
It's literally just the paintjob. If it was painted in real world colors, or even just had more metal colors, it would be a pretty realistic truck
>>6430726
>jazz and bee
They look awesome together but the team I've assembled >>6430732 has some very serious scale issues. I don't care.
>tfw everyone got some form of an update (in this relative scale) but ratchet never went beyond a mold from 2007
>>6430732
>both have a lot of bare gray
Hasbro strikes again. I'm even more worried about the bare diecast. That shit tarnishes very quickly just being exposed to air. I was hoping that Takara might announce their own improved versions, but knowing how expensive they'd be, I'd be fine without it.
>>6430740
Bayverse Prime's paintjob looks a lot more like something you'd see on a toy than Laser Prime's.
Whelp, we have a date for the takara mpm04, or rather the pre-order start
>MPM-4オプティマスプライム 15000円 Optimus Prime
>TLK-20 DXフィギュア キャラクターM 2800円 Deluxe Figure character-M
>TLK-21 クロスヘアーズ 2800円 Crosshairs
>TLK-22 バンブルビー 2800円 Bumblebee
>TLK-23 ストレイフ 2800円 Strafe
>TLK-24 ダイノボットスコーン 4500円 Dinobot Scorn
>TLK-25 DXフィギュア キャラクターR 4500円 Deluxe Figure character-R (Nitro Zeus)
>TLK-29 DXフィギュア キャラクターN 2800円 Deluxe Figure character-N (Cogman)
>TLK-30 DXフィギュア キャラクターS 6800円 Deluxe Figure character-S (Leader Dragonstorm)
>TLK-31 ビッグスピードチェンジ ドラゴンストーム 6800円 Hyper Changer Dragonstorm
And many others from takara's tlk line
>>6430732
I'm kinda hoping be gets a remold for each movies camaro mold besides AOE, that robot mode was too different to pass off. Prime I can see getting a dotm remold. I just want mp jazz, ratchet, and Ironhide now after having bee.
>>6430737
Just toyish in some places. I'd like more realistic proportions.
As a special treat, here are in hand comparisons between the general release mpm03 and japanese version, there doesn't seem to be very many initially, bar obvious printed japanese on box
>>6430652
Yeah, I was ready with a new body and head when I bought him.
>>6430764
Are there any differences with the actual figures?
>>6430764
>distributed in Australia
Again with this shit and I haven't seen him ONCE in local stores despite knowing which chain (zing) he's in, oh well I saved $50aud buying the japanese version.
...before I continue these pics aren't mine but mine is due to arrive shortly
>>6430767
There are, very minor but they are there
>>6430768
Last of the box, sides just have some japanese in places.
So yes, it seems its printed the japanese stuff rather than a sticker, but how does the figure hold up?
>>6430642
>there's hardly any movie toys at my local stores right now
>Someone's been shot in the foot here and I'm not sure who did the shooting or who's foot is bleeding
Yeah your situation is really strange. Someone either messed up or the stores just don't care about Transformers.
Speaking of which, has anyone else noticed that Transformers is getting WAY less shelf space than it used to?
>>6430768
>There are, very minor but they are there
source?
>>6430774
Well BEFORE that (because suspense hur dur) the manual is simerlar to the normal mp manuals!
...just no extra info, there isn't any other images of the manual sadly
>>6430776
hk-tf fb group, someone posted these, I'm slowly uploading what he posted and giving my observations
>>6430768
Really curious what ends up different on both Prime and bee
??
Do we have a time to start expecting new toy announcements? I've gotten 11, 2, and 3pm ET and I just want to know how disappointed to feel already.
>>6430779
Now the problem with this uploader is he didn't post in english, which is which here?
His main post said this thanks to machine translations
>Top! There is a difference in the end!
>Left, last edition.
>Right, next edition.
>The Japanese version is clear, but not on average.
>>6430782
Its not much, nothing shown differently with the diecast from what he posted
>>6430784
SOON.
>>6430786
I want to be nice and say takara's is the top one but that isn't fair, the top one looks like it has a better print
>>6430788
Now this is alot more obvious, we know the hasbro one has a blue tinge to the eyes.
Guess what, takara ditches that, I liked the blue but if it shows up better...
>>6430792
Here is another one, takara usually omits number/safety tampo's on their figures, here they just reduced it, not much but its something
New display images at Hasbro booth. Patent blueprints for some MicroMasters and Powermaster Optimus Prime. Hint at the reveal today? Could be... :)
Don't be shocked if John keeps using good the term Godmasters at the breakfast or the panel at 11am. He's a Master Force junkie, so he's very excited about Power of the Primes.
>>6430799
Dunno why he posted this but maybe someone has a sharper eye than myself.
From what I can read in the comments its...almost the same
>>6430801
PLEAAAAAAASE POST I BEG YOU
>>6430799
I'm reading your posts if you have more pls
>>6430801
>He's a Master Force junkie
>Didn't even give the Headmaster Jr's bodies
>>6430805
That's it, got a feeling this is the takara one
>>6430807
All I got left is the sides of the box?
Unless you want some machine translated comments
>In addition, we are in the United States of America, and we are now in the United States of America.
>On Top of the day, there is obviously a layer of things, and if it's all on average, it's not an average.
This related to>>6430788 and its all there is that has any depth that I can make out
>>6430815
MURICAN MUSCLE
Is what they were trying to say but it's too much power for them to articulate in their language
RODIMUS FUCKING PRIME
>>6430826
Here it comes, Power of the Primes. And damn a matrix is included!
>>6430826
OH SHIT WAT
>>6430801
I would be salty if POTP Powermaster Optimus Prime existed as that means there was no point for Super Ginrai and its Godbomber add on. Then again I can't complain since I got both and the rest of the Legends toys so hype
>>6430826
IT BEGINS
>>6429417
>potential new abominus
If real, I expect Sky Lynx or Silverbolt retool for Hun-Gur(rrrrrrrrr)
>>6430826
oh wow, that looks like it might be cool since you can tell there's a smaller normal hot rod in there
>>6430826
Wait wait wait. Is the little car a seperate bot? It looks like theres a little orange fist under his chest piece and splayed out legs behind his head.
>>6430826
Looks pretty cool. And they actually got the color right for once instead of just making him bright red like every other retail Rodimus.
Before I forget, apparently that tf tribute 2007 leader prime is an amazon jp exclusive as a tlk-ex.
Easier than the hasbro release I wonder?
is this some kind of a joke?
ANOTHER JAZZ THAT'S WORSE THAN THE RTS/UNITED ONE
>>6430836
>you can tell there's a smaller normal hot rod in there
Yeah it looks like Rodimus' trailer becomes "armor" like Ultra Magnus.
>>6430844
Hay look, I bet he's a voyager!
We wanted voyagers of these guys...um, right guys?
...eh he's too idw looking for me and I have the leaders and deluxes shitting up the joint, just give me hasbro mp skywarp so I can fucking stop already
>>6430844
Holy shit, that's the worst thing I've ever seen.
DARKWING AND DREADWIND THAT ARE CW MOLDS FOR SOME REASON
>>6430849
>dem vast expanses of hollowness
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>6430826
Hey, that's actually a pretty cool looking robot, although the smaller Rodmimus is probably atrocious. It also bugs me that he is not going to be consistent in terms of color with the previous TR Hot Rod, that plastic is just way too dark.
>>6430849
Is...that deluxe....? That looks horrible.
>>6430844
Probably camera angle but that image makes his arms gorilla
>>6430856
https://youtu.be/Ry8TupFxILU
>>6430849
OH WAIT is that a CW Jazz? That silver rouded thing looks like the top of the limb joint.
VOYAGER STARSCREAM
So PotP is mixing CW and TR's gimmicks? Best timeline achieved.
>>6430826
I TOLD YOU
I TOLD YOU ITS GONNA BE ENERGON v2
>hurrr its bad because?
BUT NOOOOOO
>>6430859
Isn't he supposed to change color?
>>6430849
Hey, he actually turns into a Porsche this time around, that ain't so bad. Hopefully the robot is just suffering from awkward posing because I really want to get him.
LEGENDS BEACHCOMBER (FINALLY)
>>6430871
No it isn't, you fucking retard. Shut up.

>>6430870
Is that fucking Beachcomber on the right?
>>6430870
>skullgrin titan master pretender shell
Lmao what a combo
>>6430856
Even at this point they use the Air Raid mold instead of a new one. Ok then
>>6430873
>Le Mans Porsche
Mah boy Jazz getting some love.
>>6430868
>who ya calling pinhead
>>6430870
dafuq are these, I see tm ports but it don't look like a head...looks like he sits in a shall like a fucking pretender
>>6430868
Hahahahaha holy fuck that looks terrible
>>6430884
It's an ugly monster head. Reminded me of Tarantulas at first.
>>6430876
What the fuck is that tinfoil dragon?
Leaker faggot btfo.
>>6430868
Jesus that paint.
>>6430844
>>6430868
Ew, thank you but I'm sticking with >>6430852 despite their appallingly small scale.
>>6430888
leader dragonstorm from tlk, that duocon
Still not giving us CW seekers. They could use this new wing config for the coneheads.
>>6430873
Fracture/Crasher retool when?
>>6430890
Con prototypes always look like that, because they are literally handpainted before the show.
>the matrix has a tm port
MATRIX HEAD
Oh wow haha hahah ow haha oh geeze hahaha ha damn
It's nothing but trash woooo geeze that shit is bad
>>6430826
This shit legitimately looks cool. Might be the first leader I've bought in a really long time.
30 years later and still no new articulation on the shell
>>6430870
little baby pretender! so want!
Ok I'm sold, they intergrated cw and tm tricks and used them to make new ones.
...but I don't see anything wholy new unless the point is the line is meant to be a cluster fuck of everything we've had until now
>>6430902
That's awfully harsh. Are you already personally invested in this line somehow?
This shit looks like the result of a children's k-8 custom class
>>6430826
Rodimus is such an ugly design
>>6430826
This looks good, but I'm willing to bet that's because it's a painted prototype. The final version will be cast in some cheap, swirly plastic and won't look half this nice.
>>6430826
>littler arms in chest
>Dare starts playing in the distance
MY DREAM LINE
I'm sorry, I COULD tolerate the hollows but dafuq is this jet mode?
>>6430910
Not him however, the mpm's while not usual takara mp "quality" are still higher than the mass produced retail figures such as tr and cw we get, your comment is even harsher than his, but hay, opinions
This is literally
>Hack and slash the last two lines together with some leftover shit and some old crap thrown in and slap some paint on, the line
>>6430893
For what purpose?
>>6430844
>1987 years after the jews killed jesus
>still cant make proper cockpit chest
POINT AT HIM. POINT AT HIM AND LAUGH.
>>6430849
Huh. Jazz has a combiner plug in his chest.
>forced headmasters on everything is finally over
>CW back so we might get Abominus/Piranhacon/Predaking
>Starscream doesn't seem to have a forced in gimmick
is it here boys? The ultimate kino Generations line?
>>6430917
I want to make a clusterfuck of seeker limbs obvs.
I am having a hard time connecting what i am see between the smaller shell figure and the normal deluxe and above stuff.
Anyone cares to explain it?
>>6430904
>>6430905
Remember how gen Skullgrin had a flap in the center that could be lifted up? wonder if baby Skull can fit there to drive tank Skullgrin.
>>6430924
Yeah just noticed that.
>>6430925
It might be. Except for the fact that pretty much everything outside of Rodimus and Beachcomber looks like pure shit
>>6430924
And looking at his car mode proportions it totally looks like a retool of the Breakdown mold.
I wish someone took a picture of the back of the car so I could tell if there's a HFG peg hole there.
>>6430849
>>6430873
Ayyy, is that supposed to lightly resemble a 962? I'm so sold on this dude, gotta love how they even copied the actual Martini stripes. He just needs a few racing Reprolabels to be perfect.
>>6430915
>fat cockpit/nosecone
>fat looking back
>fat, oversized shins and tiny thighs
>fat oversized forearms
>fake chest
what is the fucking point
>>6430919
They're using the idw redesign, the one based on the mp leader seekers, those cunts even depicted the jet cockpit kibble on the back like on the toy and this one is no different save for an altered jet mode
>>6430925
>but we have maxtrix's that can be used as someone's head now
>>6430928
>Nothing is harsher than telling someone "fuck you" imo.
This is 4chan is it not, I get we're all toy bros but pft, its weak
I went to Seibertron and their headline mentioned Doubledealer and I got excited, then it turns out it was a mistake and they corrected it.
Feels bad, man.
>>6430933
You can see in >>6430849 that there's a CW peg under his head.
It's over, /tfg/. Transformers are dead.
>>6430940
CW + TR is exactly what I was hoping this line would be. Rodimus is just icing.
>>6430681
Still hoping that Bee sells well enough for a Barricade to come out.
>>6430844
He's probably mistransformed, at least I hope he is.
>>6430933
>totally looks like a retool of the Breakdown mold.
I hate how much these threads throw the term "retool" around. It's not even fucking close. Just like how people claimed Chromedome was a retool of whatever mold. It's not. It's just a similar-looking car. You people see a white sports car and start shouting "RETOOL, RETOOL!" because it makes you feel clever for connecting two dots that aren't even part of the same picture.
The ignorance is almost painful.
>>6430868
Whats the gimmick?
Skullgrin: TM shell
Beachcomber: TM ride
Deluxes: CW Limbs
Whats the gimmick of this Voyager SS? CW Torso?
I know it's statue shit, but god DAMN is it cool fucking statue shit.
>>6430826
>Hot Rod got an inner robot
>Ultra Magnus, Ginrai, and PMOP didn't
This is so weird.
>>6430949
>What's the gimmick of SS?
If it was a combiner body it might justify those atrocious proportions. Seriously though, we need to stop letting them get away with this "muh IDW accuracy" bullshit
So, there's a ducking fist INSIDE Rodimus' torso
>>6430955
>DUUUUUUUUU DINOBOT HAZZZZ HEADACHE IN WHOLE BODY
>>6430893
This looks like one of the coneheads too.
>>6430961
Leader
Rodimus Prime (Removalable Matrix, Deluxe Hot Rod inside)
>>6430946
Same here senpai. I'm not sweating it as bad cause I just got a authentic HA for $20 which was fuckin awesome. He's the only one I never had. He's pretty great
Aw, Dreadwing and Darkwind don't combine?
And woo, another Seeker mold.
But I must have that Skullgrin! And Jazz.
>>6430946
...where would he be mis-transformed though?
>>6430948
People just don't understand shared engineering, it can use the same transformation and articulation but its still a new mold until otherwise proven.
CW breakdown=/TR chromedome
TR scourge=TR windblade (even then its just the rail and thighs)
>>6430955
This is what the next adult tf line to be like, sadly only statues will get like that.
Funny, no one liked the matching prime from prime1studios but this megatron is very well loved
>>6430961
Fucking hell so he's got the ability to bulk up, but that fig inside would have to be legends sized or smaller.
People don't get it
>>6430868
>Those fucking proportions
Jesus christ, that remidns me of the old Transformers Go-Bots.
>>6430915
>all these recent seeker attempts still out-fucking-classed by a legends mold
This one even manages not to cheat on the chest/cockpit.
>Make a toy of Saberhorn
>It's a crash combiner
Well fuckyou too, hasbro.
>>6430948
>It's not even fucking close
Side arm panels on the car look similar and the general car proportions look similar. And unlike Chromedome it actually has a combiner peg this time. It might not actually be a retool but does look like one at a glance. Stop sperging out you autist.
>Just like how people claimed Chromedome was a retool of whatever mold
Yeah and just like how people claimed that TLK Hot Rod was a Lockdown retool, fags like you sperged out, and then it actually did end up being a retool
>>6430972
Starscreams thighs look way too short, so they might extend a bit, rounding off his proportions better.
>>6430844
>is this some kind of a joke?
It's bad comedy.
>>6430970
They might, since the nosecone one Darkwind might a peg to attach to the back of Dreadwing.
>>6430974
Well thanks to idw it doesn't matter, the leader one has that fake cockpit right, right around the issue where starscream killed that beast titan agaisnt windblade's wishes you see alot of his back.
The idw version has the cockpit kibble on his back so now its cannon, clearly used to ease up on hasbro's engineering so they don't need to go full cockpit chest anymore.
Unless starscream gets a redesign that's drastic in the comics cockpit kibble and fake chest are here to stay
>>6430981
Could be right or the thighs are just a giant shell to cover over them, time shall tell
>>6431007
>That back kibble
>Stickers
Ugh. I still want him though.
>>6430961
NANISORE???
>>6430991
m8.
The body you're talking about is based on Starscream's Combiner Wars toy, which is a remold of Generations Jetfire. IDW has NOTHING to do with why it has a fake cockpit on the chest.
>>6429561
>dull gray plastic AGAIN
>shell bits all over his back and right behind his head
>looking pretty good
I rarely ever use the word shill because I think its often overused on this site, but, damn son. if this isn't the most shameless piece of shilling I've seen here in a long time. TF collectors really are the most divided collector base. they're either picky as fuck or just accept whatever garbage they're given.
>>6430868
FUCKING MONKEY PAW
>>6431186
you know those bits fold away, right
>>6431205
yeah because that totally makes it better when you look at it from the back
why are you so quick to defend a shitty overpriced piece of plastic molded after a character from a shitty movie?
>>6431223
because one of the points you were attacking it for was factually incorrect
>>6429288
>Are they actually buddies
Yes.
Turns out that Cybertronians on other worlds tend to be a little more chill.
>>6430874
Fuck yeah, This is what I've been waiting for.
>>6430826
Now this is something I'd drop good money on. Not sure what the Deluxe Rodders inside of him looks like but this is solid enough for me.
>>6430982
Basically. This Starscream looks even worse than the CW Leader version. Hell, I'm probably gonna pick up the RID one now that I know about this chunky fucker.
>>6430874
Loved all the Legends scale figures so far, and Beachcomber is right up there too.
>>6430826
They always look so pretty when they're globbed with paint, don't they?
>>6430968
What version of barricade is that?
>>6430617
6 walmarts within half an hour of my house and every goddamn one of them did the exact same thing. Also, the closest TRU stocked a shit ton of wave 1 TR last July and just restocked last week with wave 4. What the fucking fuck.
>>6429569
Fuck I'd buy the hell out of that magenta one if I didn't DESPISE required-partsforming headmasters.
