wait are you fucking kidding me that white rabbit got THAT high on a fan poll?
>>
>>6413652
Their poll is inherently flawed.
They just have 8 characters and just match up whoever against each other.
Lasher had no chance of getting in the final 4 against Songbird, but he might have been able to do it against White Rabbit.

But hey, he might be getting a figure anyway, so I don't know if the poll even matters.

There was Solo, Terror Inc, Lasher and Scream, all who lost.

In terms of what I want most:
1. Scream
2. Lasher
3. Songbird
4. Citizen V
5. Terror Inc
6. Typhoid Mary
7. White Rabbit
8. Solo

Scream would be great, and it would be good to get a recognizable female villain for once. I'm not into Tombstone's Daughter Beetle, even though I have her.
>>
>>6413643

No, stateside Ohioan, I'll take a screenshot when I get home from work in 15, I just searched for Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy, were on 2nd page
>>
>Want to collect Marvel figures again
>Mezco looks good for a lot of characters, but I hate their Daredevil and Spider-man looks iffy
>Amazing Yamaguchi looks alright or greatfor a lot of characters, but look odd in group poses across lines.
>Hasbro Marvel Legends are mediocre to solid, but when they're good they're amazing and some of my favorite choices(Wolverine, Daredevil)
>Diamond select does some characters better, too, mostly big guys
>some toy Biz MLs/Classics still the best option for some characters
>Sentinel's Iron Man line is intriguing..

Fuck me, I'm torn between so many options for characters. If Mezco's aesthetics were better, it'd be my main choice, but they take too many liberties. I'm not entirely bothered by the inconsistencies, but it just feels a bit frustrating. On the bright side, I guess its the figure equivalent of having characters drawn in different art styles.

Personally, I like Marvel Legends the best because it's the most bang for your buck usually (though selects have been getting really good) and they make figures of characters that otherwise wouldn't get any figures.

>>
>>6413722
All Mezco's Marvel figures look like garbage to me. The one that doesn't, their upcoming Miles, is one I'm not invested enough in to care for. I've already got the recent ML, and it's one of the best ML's out there and I'm fine with that.

I have every Amazing Yamaguchi figure except Spider-Man, and they look great along-side most Legends. Only thing I'll say is Gwen absolutely puts every Legends female to shame.

But yeah even with better options available Marvel Legends are still a line I'll keep buying simply because there are characters that will never get made in the other lines. Like, Revoltech or the rest of them are never gonna give me a Superior Foes lineup, or Man-Thing.
>>
>>6413760

Namor is still sticky with regards to movie rights. They said they'd gotten them back from Universal but they also said there were lingering issues.

>>6413619
You are not wrong...but Kamala is the only 'new' character that has moderately clicked with younger demos that most older fans haven't rejected like Moon Girl or Ironheart. So you can't blame them for wanting to keep that going & be able to stave off the 'not enuff diversity' grousers.

What are the chances of getting a comicbook version of Mantis? And they don't have the toy rights to Bug because of micronauts, right?

The only time I've ever done this is with a Rhino torso. I bought White Tiger, swapped the BAF part with an ultimate goblin chest piece, and returned it. I might have felt bad about it, but there's still like 10 white tigers/misty knights at my local walmart.

Hasbro has been doing really well on the paint jobs on the faces of the live action characters recently. Just saw the spider man 2 pack in person and the headsculpt looks amazing. These look fantastic too, really impressive stuff. Almost looks like they're a better version of the dot printing tech.
>>

It's nothing that an x-acto knife can't fix, but it's still just so annoying. The gun's handles were clearly designed to be held with a separate finger, too, they're too short otherwise.

So from /co/ I learned that they covered up Tigra, and that makes me realize that now Hasbro will probably do a new Tigra figure like this, since bodysuited parts are already available and furry female parts aren't. Makes me kind of sad since I really want a classic Tigra remake, the previous one was total shite. I'll take generic black bodysuit Tigra as well, but it's far from my preference.

Can we confirm these pictures are fakes now? No one ever appeared in a costume like that or the toy in the movie, and the gauntlets are a lot different. Makes me wonder where this costume is from/being used for other than "OMG LEAKED PICS" articles on bleedingcool.
>>
So Im half tempted to preorder the Hot Toys Homecoming Spider Man, but I wanted to hear opinions from people who have purchased HT's in the past. Are there any defects or long term deterioration I should look out for?
>>
>>6415623
I saw one Vulture at TRU that someone had clearly hidden behind like 10 Morbius' for later and considered buying but I passed because of this. Not getting all the other figures to build his wings so it sucks. Just looks like a guy in a flight suit with metal chicken legs without them.
>>
>>6415654
>with metal chicken legs
That's my main problem with him honestly, his legs are skinny to the point of looking weird. Like, even if he weren't wearing pants they wouldn't be big enough. A lot of movie figures have the same thing too, they're well sculpted except either legs that are either way too skinny or way too long.

The wings help vulture out though, at least from what I've put together.

Was mad this costume was cut from the final movie, shocker being nothing more than a henchman who quickly gets fucked up by spiderman every time they fight was disappointing.
>>
>>6415632
Until these are proven fake, theres no reason not to believe that it wasn't ultimately cut from the movie. Studios do that shit all the time. Even for the first Spiderman movie, they engineered this complex animatronic mask for the Green Goblin before execs thought it would be too scary for kids and it was scrapped.

Found the Sandman Wave Shocker at a Walgreens. It seems so odd to me that the only figures from that series I haven't seen in person are the two Spider-Verse spidey offshoots.

I could understand it with Spider-Gwen, back when that wave was out, but do people really want UK Spidey and the 2099 Redesign that much?

Shocker is great.
>>
>>6415743
They are both on a pretty awesome new body. That and the new 2099 is super awesome looking. I know he and Goblin were the must-gets for many people.
>>
>>6413661
Could I get to a link to this product? I can't find it anywhere! Thank you!
>>
>>6415746

I saw Goblin at a grocery store for 15 bucks and I bought him instantly. Then I compared my old toybiz Sandman to the BAF and I basically began convincing myself of reasons to get all the other figures from the wave, like "Oh well the Jackal would be really good as a nemesis for Scarlet Spider," etc.

I'm not even really interested in more spider-men, but I want arms for my new Sandman.
>>
>>6415736
I keep trying to talk myself out of ordering that too, but I loved the movie, so I guess I may just do so and be happy.
>>
What's the deal with the way MLs are stocked in stores?

Why can I still find Absorbing Man wave peg-warmers at Walmart and Target and Walgreens but I never once saw any of the Space Venom figures in person? I can usually find Sandman wave stuff. I wouldn't think Silk or the 4th Spider-Girl released in a year would be that much more in demand compared to Speed Demon and Girl Beetle and ever Morbius and Jack O Lantern, all of which I still see all the time.
>>
>>6413643
What eBay store is everybody buying the defenders figures and receiving them early?
>>
>>6415877
Stores don't restock until they sell out of all their shit, so the pegwarming garbage like Morbius that doesn't sell clogs up the supply line for all eternity. After that sells, they just get a shipment of whatever the most recent or current wave is and if that pegwarms the cycle continues. My area is experiencing it really badly with that Morbius wave and Star Wars Black Series stuff (even worse for that actually, nothing but Finn, Zuvio, Jyn, and Cassian as far as the eye can see).
>>
>>6415896

I wondered if it was something like that. I was thinking about it today when I was driving around between a few different stores.

I'm surprised Morbius didn't sell better, I would've thought he was more recognizable to people, and he's basically never had a good figure before.

>>
>>6415907

My problem is I can find 2 or 3 figures from literally every wave from the past 2 years, EXCEPT the Space Venom one, it's like those figures never hit my area.
>>
>>6415902
As someone who doesn't like Morbius, I'm not surprised at all. Just a really dumb looking character and not interesting at all. I am surprised that a lot of the X-Men characters don't seem to sell though. My TRU and Target both have a lot of Sunfire, Ice Man, Shatterstar, Jean Grey, and Havok.

I still haven't seen any of the Mantis or Homecoming waves anywhere, which is shitty because I need Rocket and Gamora.
>>
>>6415939
>Sunfire, Ice Man, Shatterstar, Jean Grey, and Havok
Well, none of them besides Jean have been in the recent movies, and Jean is like 1 of 2 or 3 Jeans currently out, and she's kind of a lame chick character.

I've considered getting Dazzler purely for her interesting design a few times.

But in terms of Morbius, for some reason like every other episode of the Spider-Man cartoon in the 90s seemed to be about him and he matches my hero line up of symbiote spidey, black cat, and punisher fairly well
>>
Homecoming got me wanting a Spider-man figure. What are some nice Spider-man figures around price range of a figma or S.H.F?
>>
>>6415939
>Sunfire
I'm not sure as to this one, I don't even know about him but he looks neat and I've considered him a few times
>Ice Man
Genuinely a bad figure due to his joints being ultra loose, most people presumably are aware of that
>Shatterstar
Another surprising one to me, again, I've almost grabbed him a time or two
>Jean Grey
Rough looking figure on the surface, bought her on clearance myself and I don't think she's terrible, the new Phoenix two pack might help clear her out
>Havok
I need him but his costume isn't interesting enough here, and he's on a mold just about everyone already has.

Most of the shelfwarming around my area is actually Old Man Logan and Havok, at this point, though I haven't been out in a week or two.
>>
>>6415948
I may actually grab Sunfire and Shatterstar as well. I'm not familiar with either character really, but they do look cool. And I already have Colossus. Wish I could find Cyclops and a reasonably priced Wolverine though. Old Man Logan used to shelf warm here, but I haven't seen one in a while so I guess the movie spiked people's desire to have him or something.
>>
>>6415943
I loved that cartoon, but I remember hating every Morbius episode even then as a kid. Just looked inherently stupid to me and I'm not a fan of anything to do with Blade in general really.

It's a QC nightmare anon. Loose, floppy joints, horrible paint on the open face. Outright not worth it.
The SHF's are true 1/12th most of the time whereas Legends have become more 6.25 inch. But if your okay with being slightly smaller then go for the mark 46, 43, or the renewal mark 3.
The only Iron Men that'd scale with your NECA stuff, because lok7inch is the SENTINEL Iron Men stuff.

Judging on how the prices on all Space Venom wave figures have basically doubled, when older wave figures like Venom are still selling for 30ish bucks, it would seem the scarcity of Hobgoblin and friends is a chronic issue.

It's such a pain, at this point it would be more cost effective to buy the whole Space Venom wave in bulk than drop 80 bucks on the two figures I actually want from that series.

This whole system is bankrupt as fuck, the Absorbing Man wave has such pegwarming power it made retail stores essentially skip the entire next series.

I have the Revoltech Deadpool and it scales surprisingly well with ML. But the joints and overall aesthetic make it look severely out of place when posed just standing straight up. I wouldn't worry about the joints breaking though. Unless you're acting like a fucking chimp when handling it, you should be fine.

If you want something to fit with NECA while sticking with MCU Iron Man, technically there's Marvel Select, though I'd argue the only good option that's more recently accessible is their Mark 46 from Civil War.

But really, nothing will blend in seamlessly between Hasbro and NECA stuff so that anon has to decide between the two scales or just get two separate figures for their display (I mean, that's what I do).

In terms of scaling with MLs, the promo pics shoe him as shorter than the Revo Deadpool who is just a bit shorter than your standard Bucky Cap body, so I'm certain Wolverine will scale nice with MLs. The joints are also looking less noticeable than other Revos as well
>>
>>6416771
I actually collect both lines (MAFEX and SHF), and while I'd argue that Mafex has been getting better with their recent figures, I'd still recommend waiting for reviews just in case the figure turns out to be another QC nightmare. With the SHF Spidey, love it or not, what you see is what you get. Also considering there's no human likeness to worry about, I doubt that much will change in terms of how the prototype will translate to the final product.

Really it's up to you whichever figure you go for, but unless you're patient enough to wait for Mafex's attempt to see how it will turn out, I'm personally leaning towards the SHF myself.
>>
>>6416976
>>6417002
Thanks dudes, think I'll go for it. I don't mind if it looks out of place, it just looks too good. Also never botherd with revos before because the joints always looked bad, especially on spudey but this wolverine doesn't seem to have that issue.
>>
>>6416950
>i guess i'll go with it, Mk 43 looks pretty cool.
Not that anon, but I don't recommend this.

Between the two, the Mk 42 turned out better than the Mk 43 by virtue of being predominantly gold. Basically Max Factory cheaped out on the red paint, so the reds are essentially molded in red instead of being painted in metallic red. Since Mk 43 is predominantly red, it ends up more lackluster than the Mk 42. Really the only solid recommendation I can give for Figma is their old Mk 7 and maybe (BIG maybe) their recent Mk 42 if you like that look.

I'd still say that SHF's tend to be the better option when it comes to 6 inch Iron Men, and you can't really go wrong between their Mk 43, 45, 46 and their most recent take on the classic Mk 3 from the first IM movie. Keep in mind though, as this anon said >>6416720, they're still slightly smaller than your average ML, unlike the Figma IMs which are actually slightly closer in scale with ML.

God, please don't do this. It doesn't end well. Trust me, been there, done that.
>>
>>6417122
Fucking silk is $40+ minimum, and I can't figure out why. It's an ugly costume on a figure using the same female body mold as every other figure.

I'd get the whole wave, if not for her. Hell, I don't even want her, just the BAF, but it's not worth my time to resell her loose.

It's not worth your time to resell them period. You'd be selling into a market of cretins like Dr Kain who'd rather drive all over fucking Colorado and then complain some more than buy it on sale online.

>>6417127
But to answer your question, she sells for a lot because people use the unmasked head from customs. But that demand would evaporate the instant you got her.

True, but I'd still buy 3 to go with Bucky.
>>
>>6416863
I know this feel. I want Hobgoblin so badly still but the price is just ridiculous. That said, it's weird how cheap both Ultimate Spider-Men and Electro are on Wal-Mart's site when others in the wave are totally unavailable or cost a fortune.

I missed out on Silk, glad I didn't miss out on him.

>>6417145
Ugh. Freaking customs of all things. What's nuts to me is that it makes it even LESS worth it. Paying $40 to get a little head.

At least I got Hobgoblin. Snagged him for $19 on Amazon Warehouse deals because it was a "damaged box". Uh, works for me. The box was a little beat up and there was a huge WALMART sticker on it, but everything inside was fine.

>>6417143
Ugh, resellers. I'm so sick of Hasbro's inability to forecast demand for the popular figures. I'm trying to give you my fucking money already, Hasbro. Let me! I won't pay more than $25 for a ML/DCMV figure, and I average around $15.

The only time I've seen any of that wave in person was the Old Man Logan Spider-Girl loose in a plastic bag being resold at a comic book store. I can still find most of the Rhino wave figures at out of the way TRUs and Targets but that Space Venom wave is a total ghost.

It's still the nicest paint job there is out of all the IM figures that aren't Hot Toys and I think Sentinel (who's doing those diecast ones?). Pictures do not do it justice.
It is worth every penny.

And yes, the later figuarts aren't manlets, but the Figma still scales better.

>>6417169
If I ever saw her at retail, I'd probably grab her since she's kinda sexy. Now that I think about it, I have no female characters except a few Star Wars ones (Ahsoka, Jyn, and Sabine). I feel like I should change that. I really want that MJ two pack since MJ is part of the reason why I love redheads so much, but don't really want to pay $40+. I also need Black Cat.
>>
>>6417182
>>6417145
I don't think the customs thing holds water, don't people just buy recasts for those? There's one on ebay now for like six bucks.
>>
>>6417122
That works when the whole wave is packed at $160 or so. But right now that wave is $190 on Amazon for the 6 pack, not even the doubles. $32 a figure, and you'd have to hope you could return the rest to Target or TRU for retail (since Walmart has 3 of them marked down to $8).
>>
>>6417188
I would gladly pay $40 for the MJ two-pack if it was almost any other Spider-Man costume. I hate the ANAD costume so much.
>>
>>6417194
Yeah, that's another hangup I have, I really don't dig that spider logo with the weird green glow behind it.
>>
>>6417188

the ML black cat would be the GOAT toy if not for her shitty ankles and stiletto feet, but other than that she's perfect. I use a revoltech stand to keep her on her feet.
>>
>>6417182
>I'm so sick of Hasbro's inability to forecast demand for the popular figures.

Well there's not much they can do when you put out 8 figure cases and then put 6 or more characters in the wave. Some figures are just going to be 1 per case.

At least they've been trying to meet demand on some of the more popular characters by doing straight cases of some figures like Deadpool, Cyclops, and even Moon Knight. I just wished they do more. I always buy full faves so it isn't that much of a problem for me but I know several people who still need the Juggernaut wave Wolverine.
>>
>>6417204
they need to ship more, they need to double-pack figures that people would obviously want (the villains, almost universally).

It's not like this wasn't also a problem for ToyBiz back in the day and it's not like Hasbro hasn't been doing this for a long ass time, now.

Double-pack Hobgoblin instead of Miles Morales, for instance.

But they're also bound by BAF rules, which furthers the problem all the more.
>>
>>6417204
I'm still after all 4 of those figures. And as a Star Wars Black Series collector, I agree fully with the other guy. Hasbro never learns and either doesn't care or just has really stupid people making these calls. There's no reason Finn, Jyn, Cassian, and Zuvio should still be the only figures you can find anywhere but they are and I'm fed up with it. It's genuinely far worse than the Morbius wave still holding up retail in my opinion.

Where is Silk going for 40 bux? I still see her in just about every Walgreens I go into around here (NYC).
>>
>>6417211

And they learn the wrong lessons when they do change shit up, like that Agent Venom walgreens exclusive was is such short fucking supply but since then with Black Ant and Yellow Daredevil and even the Punisher to some extent, they clearly over supplied Walgreens to hell.
>>
>>6417217
They did the same with the Walgreen's exclusive C-3PO. And Target exclusive AT-ACT Driver.
>>
>>6417225
I didn't realize C3PO was an exclusive, but I have always seen him at Walgreens.

I probably would've bought Yellow Daredevil at some point if there weren't always 10 of them at every fucking store, I basically now hate that figure through no fault of its own.
>>
>>6417217
>they clearly over supplied Walgreens to hell.

That's not how this works at all. They supply what is ordered. Your problem is with Walgreens distribution, not Hasbro. I'm still running into Agent Venom but barely saw Punisher or Namor.
>>
>>6417232
>I'm still running into Agent Venom but barely saw Punisher or Namor.

Yeah, people say this about all the in-demand shit, but maybe you're from an alternate earth or something, because anyone I hear talk about Agent Venom says they couldn't ever find him and they don't want to pay 40 bucks for him now.
>>
>>6417229
Indeed it is exclusive, and I actually bought one since I love C-3PO, but the real problem comes in that it was just an OT variant of the red arm TFA C-3PO that was part of a normal wave at the same time, and now that same Walgreen's C-3PO is also part of the special 40th Anniversary waves so it's basically tripled up. Of course I haven't even seen those 40th waves though because shit from nearly 2 years ago is still pegwarming.
>>
>>6417234
>alternate earth

What's the best Thor figure? I personally like the look of the Allfather wave, but im more interested in something comic accurate to pose with Toybiz Beta Ray Bill
>>
>>6417210
>they need to double-pack figures that people would obviously want (the villains, almost universally).

To do that, they'd have to increase the case sizes to over 8 figures. Spider-Man will always get t least one of the double packs per case and that leaves one slot open to another character. No offense but in that wave, Miles got the other pack in cause Spidey variants usually sell quite well. People in these threads gush all over these variants. "Spider-Man noir is so cool!!"

For the record before the bitching starts, I think all of the Spidey variants and Spiderverse stuff is crap and hate them all but for some reason people like them. I know I'm in the minority here but I'd rather have PUMA (!), Molten Man, Swarm, Cardiac, Carrion, Shriek, Man-Wolf, a new Doc Ock,..or any other villain more than more of that Spidey variant shit.
>>
>>6417211
>I'm still after all 4 of those figures.

Why don't you just buy them online? B&M stores don't carry the straight character cases. No store will stock a case of 8 of the same figure. Sorry.

Just buy those figures, minus Wolverine, online at a small mark up.
>>
>>6417259
The Thor Ragnarok wave coming in a few months has a comic Thor in addition to the new movie Thor. I'm sure someone has the pics, I didn't see them posted in this thread yet.
>>
>>6417263
I probably will grab Deadpool soon, he's only about 6-8 bucks more expensive than retail. That Wolverine is never going to happen though, not paying $70+ for it. They better release more. I'm sure Cyclops and Moon Knight will go down in price in the near future since both are recent.
>>
>>6417217
>like that Agent Venom walgreens exclusive was is such short fucking supply

Four Walgreens by me still have him. Plus he was available online for months from Walgreens. Your area was probably just scalped to hell which isn't Hasbro's fault.

When it comes to these Walgreens exclusives, every store basically gets in 1 full case. After the initial case, it's up to the store whether or not to order more if they want them and if they are even still available. If you want one of these, just hit up your local Walgreens when the figures first start hitting.
>>
>>6417280

If there's so many Agent Venoms lying around in stores why does no one buy 5 for 20 bucks and sell them for 30--35 aftermarket?
>>
>>6417215
I've never seen a single Silk in person since the wave launched, and that's at Target, TRU, Walmart and Walgreens in a dozen or more cities across 2 states. It's $40 on Amazon and eBay, or more, depending on the day and shipping costs.

>>6417210
Yeah, this damn BAF stuff, too! I like some of the figures, but the need to get 6-8 figures to complete the set is a shitty plan.

I'm not sure what they could do different. Part of their problem in general is selling everything by the wave. Hasbro is selling to places like Wal-Mart by the case. So even if Wal-Mart knows that Pizza Spidey is going to sell like hotcakes, they can't sell it without committing to the whole damn wave, which inevitably has 2-4 long term pegwarmers.

Shit like that kills their inventory turnover ratio, but they're fucked because they can only buy from Hasbro in those assorted cases.

Diamond Select doesn't have that problem. Shit stays at retail, none of that clearance price stuff. Stores can order just the figures they want. If it's still in production, you can get most anything you want for $20-30.
>>
>>6417273
I'm completely lucked into Wolverine. Wal-Mart got a really delayed Juggernaut wave in, had everyone but Deadpool (this is when Deadpool's price finally dropped to around $25). Bought the rest of the wave on Amazon right there in the store, too.

>>6417234
I never saw a single Namor until I went shopping in another state, and the first Walgreens I went to had a side cap display that was like 20 Namor, plus more on the shelf.

But I was hunting Punisher. Finally found him in some random Walgreens, probably the 20th I'd tried in how many damn towns. I just stop at every new one I see on trips.
>>
>>6417284

By the time you pay for shipping, packing supplies, Ebay and Paypal fees...at $40 you're hardly making any money.

>>6417479
I'm fine with Elektra since she fits with Punisher and DD. It's probably the only time we'll ever get her and thankfully they picked her best outfit from the show so far. Since they already made Jessica, I can see them easily following that up with Luke and Danny, the latter of which will hopefully get a costume at some point. Personally I'd love to see a Netflix Kingpin, Purple Man and maybe even Diamondback if they want someone more costume-y.
