Couple things that were new to me; the roadway piece can peg onto the peg-base (you get two bases). A bit too small for a command car, unfortunately.

The bottom of the buildings have holes for stands! I'd always thought the bottoms were just hollow, so that's pretty neat.

As you might have guessed from the previous pic, I especially wanted to see how these buildings would scale with the Patlabor RDs.

If you look at the size of the doorways on the buildings to either side of Alphonse, I think the buildings scale pretty well with the RD. The buildings should probably be a bit larger in relation to Alphonse, but it's not bad at all.

Brocken's signal light club makes the scale discrepancy a bit more obvious, haha, but the buildings still look great as backdrops for Labors.

Really happy with these buildings, and while I'd still hesitate to pay full price for 'em, they're well worth grabbing on sale

Still have yet to watch Code Geass, but upon closer inspection of the Lancelot 'Air Cavalry' (comparing with animation, accessories, fights) it's pretty darn cool.
I'm glad, given how much I like Lancelot in another series.
The old gold/pearl version up on Mandarake IS pretty tempting as well, never thought something like that could look so good.

The Knightmare Frame cockpits have an eject block built into them, Lancelot being a prototype doesn't have that since they spent all their money on the latest technology for it and couldn't afford to build it in.

I don't own any Geass RD's yet unfortunately so I dunno if other figures actually have this feature, there was one really dedicated Geass anon that has them all though so if he's around he might know.

I'm not the Code Geass anon you mentioned, but a friend of mine has the older releases of Lancelot and Guren, as well as the Gawain and one other that I can't quite remember the name of.

ANYWAY, unfortunately the figures don't seem to feature the ejection block system that I know of. I do know my friend's Gawain had an opening cockpit though.

Given the discount on PlayAsia because of the purchasing of SRW V, plus credit I had from them, I got this at 100$. Seems pretty fair. After watching the first two episodes the Knights and Magic robots really need to come with magic rods. This would also be an ideal line for some flame effects but what can you do.

I wonder why Bandai never releases these figures timed to the initial airing of the anime that they're based on. They always come out after it's started or even after it's done. It's not like they usually cancel the release if the show is a dud, so why not play off the hype by having them in stores as people are watching the show?

The Zaku Warrior is particularly nice. My one minor gripe is that you can't get the Zaku's legs to pose straight down (G1 Transformer style). The way they are in >>6412194 is as close as they'll come together, unless I'm missing something.

Not a big deal, as I wouldn't ever really pose the Zaku without placing it into an A-stance of some kind, but it just seems like an unusual limitation. Aside from that gripe, the RD is a great representation of the MS. I'm shocked Bandai never re-painted this into at least a grunt green.

Force Impulse is nice too, I just like the design of the Zaku more, hehe. Articulation is excellent; getting Impulse a two-handed grip on the anti-ship sword was a breeze. My one gripe for Impulse is with the anti-ship sword, though. The sword splits apart to accommodate the Jesus-impaling gimmick, which is to be expected. But when you have the sword assembled, the connection point between the two halves is glaringly obvious. Bandai definitely could have done a much better job with that.

The Metal build of the ARX-8 bombed, so Bandai never released the fly pack. Now that a new season is coming, Laevatein will have a boost in popularity and I expect a re-release soon with new marks and a fly pack sold separately, like they did for the Seven Sword GN Blaster. However, considering QuanT in December and maybe the Arbalest later, you have to wait at least a year, I'm afraid.

PS: I'm also waiting for that Booster. If we're lucky, maybe they'll get it out with the Arbalest by making it compatible for both.

Finally put in my order for Lancelot. I'm so glad I actually looked at all the pictures, it's so tactical all while keeping that regal aesthetic!
A lot of times the character/mecha that's this adaptable ends up having this more modern/real-world aesthetic in comparison to the others. We've seen it plenty in Gundam and it's cool, but this is a nice exception.

As for the Earlcumber, I'm still not sure where I'll buy it from but the last time I'd checked CDJapan there were at least 18 and now but one remains. This is a good year for mecha fans so far. Guyale's not far behind.

Nah, the vast majority of RDs are easy and fun to mess with. The main thing that will get in the way of that is generally going to be the design of the mecha itself, and Vilkiss happens to be one of the most particularly finicky RDs due to its thin limbs, lots of pointy bits sticking out all over, and the parts-forming transformation. Personally I still like the RD Villkiss, but definitely don't take it as representative of the line as a whole.

The low price point of 2500 to 3500 yen, even lower than RD TRI, this harkens back to the first generation RDS from 2008 priced at 2000 to 3000 yen.

Granted, it seems like the DESIGN for some of these Jaegers intentionally limits articulation, which in-universe makes sense for some of them and the fact that they're not trying to be Gundam or always use martial arts for combat.

I missed the pre-order on AmiAmi. BBTS has it for 249.99 with 4 buck shipping. I know the figure itself is much cheaper from import sites, but I've never ordered a SoC so I don't know what the shipping rates would be like.
