I miss when legit-sized sets were available in pretty much every dollar store, and even the yearly Wal-Mart Easter baskets.

Most of them were horrible quality, but every now and then good ones would sneak their way out. There was a pretty decent Valdigus at one point, almost rivaling the RiD Ruination since its colors were so weird.

FoC multiplayer was fun for a while, but back when it first came out I fucking loved playing WFC online. It had a pretty healthy community up until people figured out how to glitch out the characters.

Motherfuckers had crazy shit like jets with the tank cannon and infinite kill-streak attacks. High Moon/Activision were already too busy on the next thing to worry about fixing it and it ultimately fizzled out. Really fun up until that point though.

Eh not really, there are much better. The deluxe seeker mold's popularity is almost entirely due to it being so extensively repainted. If you want a good toy there are better ventures, but if you want literally every seeker deco you could possibly imagine, then look no further,

Strange 2 little figures

Aside from a gaint booboo on Slipstream's thigh there is nothing wrong the 2 figure design wise. But engineering wise they are not great.
Slipstream's jet mode is surprisingly stable if one managed to lock down the nose cone. But those heels are horrible with the material they are working with.
Chromia is so thin it feels like you twist the arms off.
Overall though i th8nk it is worth it just to have more feminine looking bots

Those two are a couple of favorites of mine. Chromia's front, arm articulation, wheel design as well as her lore as a body guard makes her cool for gun slinging poses. Plus points that she can do a unicycle like the ROTF bots.

Slipstream is just wonderfully colored, glad they gave her null rays than be lazy and have WB's sword. Just a shame Slipstream slips alot with her heels while Chromia has a huge back that can't be rid of without sawing it off.

I have PRID Arcee and yeah the arms are kinda bad. The balljoints are stronger than the plastic of the upper arms and she feels like she's gonna break when you move her arms. A shame as she's a decently designed figure.

Here's a review for voyager Scorn. It does look like the tail is hard plastic though the spines are rubber.

The leg transformation was really cool. It allowed the feet in robot and dino modes to look distinct unlike the previous deluxe.

The silver paint looks really shit and cheap to me though. Looks like silver sharpies on crappy plastic. Is it just me?

Grimlock's dinosaur mode is based on the Classics figure with a traditonal stance. Power Master is Clobber. Plugs into back (Diaclone-style) and gives the dinosaur head flamethrowers in the mouth. Razorclaw is one of the new Combiner Leaders, the actual Razorclaw figure is the size of a Voyager but comes with accessories that beef up the robot mode and form the hands and feet of Predaking. Power Master is Clawprint, plugs into the back of the lion mode and makes the mane larger. Accessories plug onto the shoulders (hands for Predaking), lower legs (Feet for Predaking) and back (cannons for Predaking). Not hand-foot-guns, more like armor that fold into unique hands and feet for Predaking. Pretool for Snaptrap.

Best I can equate it to is the old Cyber Planet Key gimmick from the Cybertron toyline. The new engineering is minimal at best and isn't pivotal to complete the overall robot look. For example, you can transform Tantrum to robot mode without using the Power Master gimmick and it'll look fine. It's only there so the line can have a uniform gimmick so kids have a play pattern they can use.

With Combiner Wars, each figure in the line (minus the Leaders) had to integrate the combination gimmick. This meant having the entire Deluxe line's torso be the combiner peg and having to incorporate four empty spots in the Voyagers to fit them. And in Titans Return, the head detaches and forms its own character, a unique wide-line gimmick, but at the cost of only allowing one robot mode at a time (per figure, of course you can give a headless Deluxe/Voyager/Leader another Titan Master and have their original one in robot mode). It's part of the reason why the later wave Titan Masters do not have paint on their robot modes, aside from being too costly to do (you'll notice figures like Blurr, Scourge, and Skullsmasher have less paint than later wave figures).

I recall it having gold plastic but you can check again on reviews with good photo/video quality just in case. If the plastic is any shade of brown and looks metallic and swirly it's very likely that it will have GPS.

The Leader Prime and Megatron in the PotP will be based on Star Convoy and Super Megatron, mainly created because these molds are also mass retail releases in Japan as well as American Wal-Mart.

There are other Japanese characters in PotP as well as a couple of the European exclusive Turbomasters and Predators.

This is basically a wrap up of the entire G1 era: US, Japan and G1.5 from Europe.

Beast Wars characters are a bit of a last minute change due to the PotP poll results. That's why the bulk of them are all Amazon Exclusive.

RID 2015 will wrap up this Christmas along with TR.

Next Spring will be about PotP and The Bumblebee Movie. That's where all the little gimmicky kids toys are going.

Generations and the kiddie toys will both tie into the new 2019 TV series. Generations will be the higher end, more expensive toys, while the kids get things that crash together and transform via spring actions.

Saw a few other car Autobots with generic names. One was a red muscle that does remind me of the recent alleged set pics, and it wasn't called Cliffjumper. No Decepticons in the line iirc, and probably none in the movie either.

Like AOE and TLK, most of it is centered around fast transforming kiddie figures plus a few simplified Deluxes / Voyagers. The paintjobs looked slightly improved but not necessarily on a pre-DotM tier.

Was also told that the entire toyline was specifically aimed at younger kids, although they're still considering to release improved versions of some of the molds in a Generations-like premium subline, probably for a significantly higher collector-grade price.
