overall disappointing feeling. Feels like it's gonna break every time you try to pose it. Unlike every other figma own, like really out of place. BUT looks excellent once posed.

Other M samus is a better figma than he is but I'd still recommend it.

I have the 42 but a word of caution.

Basically, the red portions on both the 42 and 43 are molded in their respective color so it ends up looking like shiny unpainted red plastic whereas by comparison, the gold portions were properly painted similar to the actual painted prototype. In this regard, it makes the 42 better looking overall compared to the 43 by being predominantly gold in its design. I mean really it's up to you but I'd say the 43 is only worth it if you can get it really ridiculously cheap.

Yeah Max Factory really dropped the ball on them and it was pretty notorious at the time in terms of prototype pictures misrepresenting the actual release. I'll admit I'm actually pretty happy with my Mark 42 but again, that's mostly to do with the 42 turning out better by default since it's mostly gold in color wherein they actually painted the gold sections properly similar to the prototype.

I highly recommend the Twilight Princess version of Link, deluxe version ideally. The A Link Between Worlds version is also really nice. If you get TP ver Link I'd highly recommend Zelda to go with her, even if her lower body articulation is hampered by her dress she has all you could ask for and more upperbody wise to compensate.

Just got Black Rock Shooter tv animation version used. The only hitch is that the downed hood doesn't stick into the hole on the front of her chest.

Does anybody else have this issue and is there any remedy to it? It's made of soft rubber, but the pegs for the inside of the hood feel a bit hard.

I will change the setup eventually, the problem is having them all fit into one space. Also, some of them are honestly really bad (especially kanbaru looks like shit however you pose her, I wanted to put her in some iconic weird pose, but all her expressions make her look like an idiot), they look bad is a lot of poses, and the faceplates don't help at all.
In this series, they made some really solid figures (Hachikuji, fire sisters, the newly released Ononoki is also very nice), but some are VERY bad (Kanbaru is terrible, Shinobu has huge issues, Senjogahara is meh, Nadeko looks like shit without the coat, limiting her posing a lot).

Not him but it's not an attack on having the moral grounds to critique the work but the qualifications to do so. Real criticism that is relevant and useful can only come from someone with adequate qualifications. At the base level artsy stuff is all subjective so it's a case of one guy versus another with no clear winner. If one proved to be more accomplished in the arts as a photographer, sculptor whatever then they can try to make an argument that their opinion carries more weight and others might be more inclined to agree with them.

In practice though the challenge on whether the critic has the required knowledge and experience is more potent/valid in areas where the skills gap can be more objectively measured. Like the people who think they are armchair Einsteins in some kind of science after reading a news article or great field marshals because they're OK at playing some real time strategy games thinking they're in a position to instruct/replace the real things.

It's all made at the same factory dude. The reason Bruce Lee and Yakuza came out terrible is they hand sculpted the faces, the sculpt was shit and then the paint exacerbated the shit sculpt. The reason Table Museum come out great is they are statues, the reason Silent Hill came out great is they have no faces, the reason Giant Warrior came out great is it's a monster.

Leonidas came out great because the sculpt was good and they used 3D printing to compliment it. The hunter will turn out good because there is no face to jack up. It's literally just some eyes you won't even see in most poses because the hat hangs so low.

Honestly I think he's a fantastic figure. He looks great and the joints for his elbows and knees are pretty well done. His kness don't have quite as much range as other figmas, but they still do just fine.
