Jakks really needs to get smart and A) do 6'' humanoid characters; 4'' works for Mario and company, but not for Samus or OoT Link and company, and B) balance out their wave assortments so that we aren't flooded with D-listers that linger on shelves. I mean, fuck, they might actually be taking TOO many risks, all things considered. At the same time, there's a lot of glaring omissions we've yet to hear about that it amazes me. But even if we got, say, Captain Falcon, or Ganondorf, they'd be in that 4'' scale that'd make them only fit within their own series.

I think they could get away with relaunching; eliminate the 2.5 figurines, and relaunch as a $15-20 line in the vein of Marvel Legends. I doubt they'd match the "quality" or articulation level, but maybe make more robust figures and include accessories. Keep shorter characters in the $4'' scale, but include more accessories. Characters like Samus could include a small 2.5'' metroid,or Olimar and the Pikmin could be a set to compensate for the small sizes of the figures, eliminating the need for the little individual releases.

Lots of the Jakks Pacific Pokemon scale nicely. Some Hasbro do as well. Like the other Anon said, the figuarts Kantos would be in-scale with the figma Red (I presume that's why you're asking). Some baby Tomys are in scale, but most are all over the shop in terms of size.

Reminder to buy the Zero suit and Varia suit Samus amiibos now if you've been on the fence about them, since the prices will most likely go up. Maybe not as extreme as the Zelda amiibos but probably enough to be annoying. If you don't care about having them CIB, you can probably find some used for a decent price at gamestop. Haven't been in months but I remember seeing a bunch of ZS Samus among the AC amiibos at multiple gamestops.

I hope they unlock something interesting in Samus Returns. I'm still on the fence about actually getting the ZS amiibo since I'm not a huge fan of the design.

They never explicitly fight on-screen, but you can tell by their attitudes and the fact that your rival is a cunt; not your helpful best friend like in later games. In the anime they talk about a trainer having to be tough and endure the hardships that their Pokémon do. Pic related is trolling, but without the notes I still think classic Gold looks like a resourceful kid who sleeps in the woods and had to fight his way into the Pokémon league.
