That was never the claim. Black and RX received renewals outside of the Shinkocchou Seihou line, we didn't know if future Showa Riders would follow like them. Remember that originally it was a line for the main phase-1 Riders.

You can say they don't count but Black and RX got good renewals and they got them when they did because of how old the originals were.

Articulation is a lot better than expected, but considering each rider here involved two purchases, one for the body and one for the armor, I guess I should've known better. At like, what adds up to $13 each they're a lot of fun and a pretty decent value. They seem durable enough as they didn't get damaged being in a small and overfilled pocket in my backpack across two flights and being thrown around a little.

I like them, just wish they were all in one toys rather than buying an ugly base body and armor separately. That's more of a minor inconvenience than a real complain though. Plus, there's a stand, so that's neat.

You've missed quite a bit. Kiriya's HBV was popular enough that they had to release it in batches, First 10,000 came with the gashat, next 10,000 get it next month. Because of the rarity of it, people online have been selling it at huge markups. i was on a mission to give taddle fantasy a proper cape, and so here it is. my first attempt at least.

i used black fabric, 16 gauge wire, and fabric glue to put this together. there's a bunch of fabric left, so i'll probably make another version later on.

the fastening system is a length of wire that goes behind the cape and gets "inserted" between the armor and his shoulder. it doesn't really clip into anything, but weight and friction keeps it in place for the most part.

i don't have the AC figures to compare, but i really enjoy playing around with the LVUR figures. the paint on brave specifically is well done, the metallic blue just pops. if you don't want to shell out for the figuarts, the LVUR figures are a great investment.

pass on those, there's simply too much bullshit on the back of the figure that weighs them down and makes them topple over. DKHZ is a maybe simply because buying the figuarts for each of those sub-forms would be a waste.

taddle fantasy and bang bang simulations were pretty well done in my opinion.

all things considered, i'm happy with this first pass. if i had to do things differently, i probably would've gone for a thinner wire. it can be tedious trying to get it to bend in the specific way you want. if anyone has any feedback, please let me know. this is my first crafting project and any advice would be great.

the base body itself is real nice. Good deal of paint, baiscally the same articulation as the AC base bodies. the gamers are a mixed bag. beat and robot gamers are kinds terrible, combat gamer is better but still has issues. Chanbara gamer and sports gamer come in a set, but is a great set if you get Lazer. DKHZ comes down to preference, as it really hampers articulation. Simulation gamers is pretty good, and fantasy gamer is amazing.

Does anyone ever customize driver belts?

Trying to decide between pursuing an accel driver and modding it to be more evil, or a double driver and a gold tip dopant memory, then figuring out how to add an led to either the memories or the driver itself.

Working on creating a "Kamen Rider Core Rebirth" or similar cosplay since I have the core "memory memory"

Would also love a "core" sticker on the front of the memory instead, IF that is possible.


My current plan is either finding and de-cyclizing accel's driver, or a double driver with two dopant memories and some form of paint job.


I doubt i can ever find a lost driver for under $40. Especially one without the memory it comes with.

It's definitely possible. Gattack's fucking bike got 2 sets of orders on p-bandai, and they did a Hopper duo of figuarts alongside the CSM. Kabuto money seems steady enough (from the outside at least) that I would expect TheBee, Drake, and Sasword to all get figuarts, and maybe one of them to get a CSM soon since the Zect buckle was already designed for the Hoppers.

I might try bluetack. I don't think pledge would help cuz I don't really have an issue with loose fingers on mine. It's just that the handles' shapes don't work well with the hand.

the issue is really the shape of the hand compared to the shapes of the handles. Assuming this is just for display, I've found that the best way to get figures to hold their weapon is to set it as far down into thhe hand, then pinch the trigger on the handle and the opposite isde of the handle between the index-middle finger chunk and the thumb. Optionally you can tilt the weapon forward in their grip, and instead close up the lower fingerchunk and squeeze the handle between that and the palm.

Hong Kong is almost always fine for Toku roleplay toys since they also get the exact same releases just with slightly quieter sound chips at times. I have no experience with Gashats but I've bought countless movie sets and some single DX releases over the years from HK sellers and have had nothing but good things to say about them. Now, if it's China you should be a bit more worried.

If you're worried about knockoff belts that's a whole other matter, but even those are rare and you basically have to go out of your way to find them as well.

Ryuga's is closest to the original garo suit, just splashed in black

Kokuin is gonna have the best poseability of all the suits. Less constricting armor and it's engineered well.

I'd recommend the kokuin if you like the design. There's a new garo figuarts coming out that'll have the old suit's design with better engineering. I'd wait for that if you like the old design the most.
