Megatron looks cheap as fuck imo. At least with Optimus you're getting a nice looking figure with some paint apps and metallic blue plastic in places. It makes you think 'Well if the stickers do end up coming off somewhere down the line, he's not going to look bare without them.'

I was born in the midst of G1 and only had a few of them. One of my mom's work friends had a kid that was getting rid of a few and I ended up with them. The first I remember picking out for myself is Cloudburst. It's a random ass thing to be able to recall so vividly, but I've always had the memory of picking him out from KB Toys.

Yeah. Just for example, Sears '85 catalog had Optimus at 23.99, versus deluxe cars at 9.99. Minibots were more like 3 or 4.99. Keep in mind the inflation as well - roughly 25 bucks seemed like a lot more then than it does now.

Pretty obvious a lot more kids probably ended up with Bumblebee or a single packed Constructicon than Optimus and Megatron first due to price alone.

Just got MP Artie in the mail today. He's glorious. All the extra paint and detail is a refreshing change of pace from the minimalistic cartoon-accuracy we've been getting. And little Nightstick is a blast. Although I've taken to calling him "Fognozzle".

BW Neo had all the shellformers, not so much the US line after the first year of flipchangers. Samey transformations are just the era. G1 and G2 figures had a lot of repeated transformations, too, why does no one bitch about that? How many G1 cars transform by making the frond the chest, the side the arms, and the rear the legs? Beast Wars is the first line to have complex transformations if anything.

While those CGI renders are cool, its way more likely that we'd get something based on their 2D animated versions(though for most non-main characters, thats probably still unlikely). Keep in mind, I think almost every single US Beast Wars mold from the first two years was animated, or at least a variant of the mold, in Japan's BEast Wars II and Neo. So for your two examples, we may not get Armordillo and Insecticon, but we'd get Bump from Neo. I thought Insecticon was in BWII, but it seems they only used the second year bug Predacons for theirBWII Insectrons.

I never felt that thing was a proper "upgrade" for silverbolt. They really should've found a way to keep him a fuzor; at that point we were getting Maximal unicorns and a cerberus was planned(RiD Bruticus) so who cares about it not being a real animal? Plus he's smaller. Silverbolt had like three major traits, being very knight-like, being like a wolf, and being fairly tall for a non leader. Why make him a basic sized condor samurai?

How the fuck we never got a repaint/remould of Hot Spot into RID01 Prime with his combiner limbs being Prowl, Sideburn, X-Brawn and Skid-Z I'll never know.

Also could have potentially had some 3rd Party kits to help him bulk up and look like his combined super mode, kinda like the ones CW Megs got to make him appear more G1.

Late to the party but I finally picked up Godbomber in 7-11.

Yes, the arms are not too good. The upper arm swivels are too tight and does undo the chest lock.
But some of the complaints about looseness are overblown in my opinion.
The sword is very secure when you push the blade all the way into the handle. Rest of the thing is some what decent in what the figure is for- a part form and dlc.

I have a very hard time tell what goes where just by images along.

Figure wise, yes the back is really heavy. The problem comes down to whether your ankle joints are strong enough to support it or not. My does, but for comfort you should use the red heel as support along with the combiner pegs.

I wish the GB's cannon is actually on a pinned joint instead of the clip. Of course some movement in the feet in the combined form is nice too, though I can live with what we got.

I picked up the UW Menasor set from HLJ a while back and while the bunch is rather mediocre all around, I only have one real regret with the set.

My Drag Strip has a factory error and the the underpaid Chinese child didn't paint his visor strip, which means he's even MORE yellow.

I really hope power of the primes actually releases some actual versions of prime that have been ignored you have enough to release 2-3 versions of a new Optimus per wave. Like we never got a proper figure of pat lee's prime or megaton and action master prime is mia. Generations has been reduced to a bunch of no name figures like that blue deception plane guy or that autobot plane released this wave. Prime has not had a fair shake in generations since universe 2.0 really. I would love if they folllowed what Mattel did in the 90s and just have the line be 90% of the main character in different renditions.

....should I get two Trailbreakers as combined mode legs and try to find some white CW figures for arms and make a combiner Nova Prime? I feel bad having a spare CW torso with no limbs as options.
