Yeah, I like the more "realistic" colors. Green hair and neon blue clothing is just too much. I like the colors but not for a figure I'll display. I'm trying to match the ASB default colors as much as possible.

I'm kind of hoping to see if Medicos will treat SBR with more earth tones for colorways. I've always envisioned that before the colored manga came about and seeing the other artworks in Jojoveller. Stone Ocean came off as aiming for bright and colorful with some dark in some like Pucci with both his 1st and WF colorways.

Though I can't wait for the next round of reactions to Johnny's colorway reveal.

Funny, I really like the neon tones for SBR, it gives a weird futuristic aesthetic to a setting that's really old, and I really like that.
Since SBR is the follow up to SO, which is set in present times, I think this whole futuristic thing is specially fitting.
I do like the more tame colors and the earthy tones as well.

Same happened to Koichi along with Echoes 2&3 along with The Hand first. Was used to seeing Koichi and Echoes go for 2500 max and The Hand only about as high as 3000. Nowadays you cant find Koichi or Echoes for under 6000 and the Hand for under 7000.

Not sure if its just the anime, especially considering Part 4 is over now, or what but the prices on some figures is just outrageous.

Got my SP3 a couple months ago from Amiami for just over 6k. They had another one up last might for the same price (no idea if it's still there). It's crazy hiw suddenly some prices jumped. I've heard people say you could finda Kira second on Mandy for something like 4 or 5k last summer. Anime hits and your lucky to find him under 9k.

Okuyasu seems to be a weird case. To hear others talk, he was always hard to find at a decent price. Dunno why him and Koichi never got any sort of rerelease.

Their computer system is also ancient and they do everything in batches so sometimes they'll show something in stock for a week after it's already been sold. They're certainly light years ahead of most secondhand figure stores in Japan, but it's pretty inconvenient.

I don't have my review of it but he's absolutely my top SAS and figure. He's surprisingly tall and the lanky limbs helps with range of motion even with SAS's articulation scheme for him.

Also the reason he has 2 sets of hands is Medicos wanted fans to buy another since the antagonist IBM shares a similar body but has the flat/open head. Also a height comparison I posted in the thread some time back.

No iffy qc issues though I do warn on swapping heads since his neck joint seems thin to me.

Some of the others look like they are having troubles finding enough space and could be better in my opinion, especially Kira + KQ, Fugo and Abbacchio. Kira and KQ look really crammed together almost elbowing each other, Fugo is leaning too much, at least have his head being perpendicular to the floor, Abbacchio and GER could be a tad more dynamic.
Still, the banana duo is looking 10/10 to me.

Be careful on inserting the long peg adapter since it goes through the backpack into the peghole of his body. Always take that out first if you decide to repose him since it's easy to snap that piece. Overall he's pretty good given how bulky he is and range of movement holds up since they added in butterfly joints for his arms.

Pucci is good also though I'm just not a fan on posing him beyond walking and a few art poses due to how they handled his robe articulation since it gets ugly when you spread them out. White Snake is excellent with the GACT printing being mostly on point from what I've seen and handled.

So Mandarake cancelled my KC and now the Diavolo figure is still in the process of checking inventory. It's been two days so will they just cancel it? KC got cancelled within a few hours of my purchase whereas Diavolo is taking days. Did some jap buy both my figures before my order was placed?

You should identify the area where it won't affect the elbow bend and use a really small dab of glue to the piece so it stays in place and not lock the joint.

Now his elbow can't leave a weird obtuse position and it sucks

I've glued elbows before and it works fine however, just make sure you're constantly using the elbow articulation as the glue dries so that none of it ends up locked in at the articulation point and you should be good to go.

Yep, I figured that, so that's what I'm doing. Forearm ball is unaffected while the bicep ball got a little stiffer, nothing too dramatic though, perhaps I'll put half a drop of olive oil on it if it turns out too stiff

Still, I'd love any Anasui second, especially pink hair, however if you haven't bough it, I can assure you the colours look very nice in person, they're much more delicate than in pictures. I managed to score this Swarovski Star Platinum on YJA last week, and it arrived yesterday.

It's really awesome looking in person - it sparkles in even the dimmest of light.

What's strange is that it was sold loose, but not even with the accessories or anything (which don't have the crystals on them but still). Like, what madman got this and decided to sell it without the box?

So it sucks not knowing what number this is, but it's still really cool to have one. The problem is that now I want to get more of 'em.

Well congrats anon, though I wish Medicos used SP2nd since those bright colors with the Swarovski crystals would probably pop even more but for some reason, they always lean towards really common colorways for these editions. Killer Queen was another one but ended up being 1st so something about re-releasing alternate colors is like a curse that they want to avoid no matter how exclusive.

Probably because it's fake. There have been instances of "custom" jobs going up on YJA where the seller basically bejazzled it themselves.

DIY jems bought at craft shops still add up to quite a lot of money if you use that many so it's still worth what you paid even if it is fake, depends how important it is it you I guess.

Bought this lot for $200 from a dude on FB. Josuke's box is kinda beat to shit and it's not glossy like Oku's box or any other SAS's I own (just Part3/4 Jotaro and Star Platinum). Kinda worried it's a bootleg but I'm not sure if knockoffs of these even exist.

The non glossy boxes are the first run releases. Medicos started using glossy boxes towards the end of their Part 5 run, which included rereleases of previous releases. It's one way you can tell if your Part 3/4/whatever figure is a rerelease or a first run.

I just got my Toyohisa SAS from Amiami a few days ago. The articulation is good, the accessories are acceptable, and the the sculpt and paint are fantastic. I only really have two complaints with him: His katana is considerably smaller than it should be. The hilt is long enough that you can fit both of his hands onto it, but the blade is definitely too short. The other issue I have with him is his knee pads. If you buy this figure be careful posing him because, at least with mine, the knee pads pop off really easily. When I say pop off, I don't mean they fall off, I mean if you move his knee joint the wrong way his knee pad will come flying off. Thankfully, they pop right back on, y'know... so long as they don't fly off into the unknown, never to return.

Also on as a sidenote, he's a pretty big figure, which to me, is a plus. But I've heard others say he was too big and that he didn't look right in their collection. Just something else to be aware of.

I'm really really liking my new S&F but it think I'd have to say Anasui, with Gappy and Diavolo being close seconds.
The only thing I hate about him is the limited range of motion of his head, which on my figure is sort of loose too, but for the rest he's very articulated, accessories are great and the colours are just so pretty. Or maybe I just like the character too much. Also Diavolo's head looks amazing on his body.

For me, I think it may be Stardust Crusaders DIO 1st. I like the colors used, the paint job, and the sculpt. His articulation isn't the best but it's pretty good. It wasn't easy.
Number 6 and 7 are supported by one of the display arms + additional piece. Number 1 is supported the same way, although as I'm sure you know the peg is too small, so I just put the arm up vertically, so he's really just haning on by force of gravity. Number 3 can be easily put on number 1's bullet, just use his arms. Number 2 is the most unstable, he's just sort of sitting on mista's arm leaning against the hole between his elbow and chest, and finally, number 5 is on the ground crying, of course. Moving him to dust is like playing Operation, or however it's called.

Any news on Gyro of late? Still super bummed the fig is a WF exclusive. Any chance we'll get a rerelease later on?

Not him but Johnathan's arm has a good amount of freedom and rotation to pull that sort of pose off. Adjust the shoulder piece and check where the shoulder hinge bends inward and adjust accordingly. SAS articulation is standard across the board unless clothing restricts the sculpt or design.

So far only Main Jojo's and main villians have gotten 3 different colourations, so its unlikely we will see a new Bruno or Mista unless medicos decides to try something new. A new Diavolo is way overdue, i already own all the part 5 firsts so it would be cool to get Narancia and Abba and have a full gang of 2nds aswell.

Just impulse the WF Koichi bundle of mandrake for 7k, i was only looking for Koichi and act 1 but i haven't seen them go up for months so i figured 3.5k for each can't be that bad of a deal. Anyone here got them?

my KQ 1st has a small paint chip on his face (barely noticeable) and my KQ 2nd doesn't have any issues. you'll most likely receive a flawless KQ as QC issues are rare for that specific figure

1st may set you back 6k or so. 2nd is typically the cheaper alternative at around 4k or lower last I checked.

He's pretty good and I really dig the effects put out for him, as for the feather, I would treat it with care but nothing bad has happen so far with it even with the occasional headswap.
