Review of the Metal魂 00:
http://blog.livedoor.jp/hacchaka/archives/52005144.html
Looking forward to the GM Sniper, Marine Zaku, and that Metal Composite Wing is looking awfully tempting.
>>6343810
>Is the MB Blue Astray any good?
I really like mine! I love the color scheme and the accents of gold/yellow courtesy of the missile pods are a great contrast. Base MS is extremely solid and remains so even after you attach all the accessories; nothing fiddly or fragile feeling as everything attaches very securely with satisfying confirming clicks.
>>6346702
>How's the do dai ys?
Gonna concur with what >>6346725 said; it's extremely well done. If you're interested in a Dodai it's absolutely worth picking up.
>>6346725
>I'd strangle a man for an ANIME White Base as long as it's dodai quality
That would be amazing, even better if they made a Musai and Salamis!
>>6348341
I know it's not necessarily the accessory assortment people wanted to see with the MB Blue Frame, but what's here is executed very well. Excellent metallic finish and sharp, detailed paint apps (especially love how you can see each individual rocket in the bazooka magazines). You get doubles of nearly everything and it's possible to attach everything at once, if you want.
>>6348344
One interesting thing is that Blue Frame's (and Red Frame's) beam saber blades are actually shaped like a blade. I don't think you can really see it here, but if you look top-down at the blade, instead of being spherical it's diamond shaped. Pretty neat!
>>6348337
I think it is going to shelf warm for a few months.
There is already a more intricate Metal Build.
Not sure if they are doing Metal Robot Damashii Strike Freedom, it wasn't at the exhibit this time.
We should see some new 00 RDs, Metal Builds for the 10th anniversary.
>>6348350
So yeah, overall if you're interested in the design and the accessories work for ya, then I can recommend picking up MB Blue Frame.
>>6346526
Grats on the armor haul!
>>6347728
Gah, yet another reason to be jealous of Real Type Zaku owners, haha.
>>6348353
I think you may be right. It doesn't help that while the 00 looks good, it also somehow looks very plain, which makes it harder to justify that substantial price increase over a standard RD. Not saying that you necessarily gotta go full Katoki with every Metal魂 release, but more sculpted detail and maybe a few more tampos would have helped.
Why the fuck did we never get more Evas?
>>6348375
Bandai hates us.
>>6348386
are you gonna post that you have two of these in every thread now
>>6348439
Is it wrong for Anon to post pictures of his toys?
>>6348439
Not my pics. Grabbed them from 2chan.
>>6348341
Plus with Musai and Salamis they actually have a decent shot of making them to scale. A white base would just be rediculous.. since whole RD's would have to be able to fit inside her launch bays.
>>6348439
If dude wants to post Real Type Zaku pics he can post Real Type Zaku pics.. the damn thing is gorgeous.. why wouldn't you want to see more pics of that?
>>6348477
#richlivesmatter
God damn it, I don't have any attachment to this MS but it is so fucking cute, I want.
>>6348477
Jealousy
Anyone have RX-178 SP edition? I really want someone for my Rick Dias to fight with. It seems to be only reasonable RD available that actually did combat with it.
>>6348527
Also what non-MSV Gundam RD do you all think we'd expect to see in the next year?
>>6348532
Hopefully the Gyan and Gelgoog. They seem to be intent on doing every MS from the original Gundam.
Hell, would not even be shocked if we even got the Ball at this rate.
love the backdrop
dumpin some my pics
>>6348560
Both of those would be a definite buy.
Welp. I've given up on any hopes of Iron blooded orphans season 2 RD's. rest in peace.
Posting my IMGUR gallery instead, hope you guys enjoy.

>>6348640
Thanks. That Knight Gundam looks pretty sweet.
>>6348527
None can resist the adorable allure of Acguy.
>>6348532
>>6348560
Gelgoog would be my guess as well. Recognizable and important MS from the original show with easy repaint options. Be nice if we get some mobile armors, though. Once the Big Zam is mass produced we'll put an end to the RD line! Wait...
>>6348640
Great shots, anon! You got some excellent angles with your pictures that I haven't seen anywhere else. Especially loved your shots of the Type Zero (I didn't realize it was going to come with the little red labors, had to do a double-check of the product page; so awesome!) and the Zaku Marine.
Thanks so much for sharing! Was there any special no-cameras-allowed area? Get any shots of the Macross stuff?
Any interest in GFFs?
Have a set:
Gundam/GM Ver Ka
F91/F90-II
GP01
Mudrock/G05
NT-1 Alex/G04
NT-1 Alex w/ Chobam armor (the NT-1 resculpt)
I'd prefer to sell them as a set for $220 + shipping, shipping separate since the boxes are huge if you want them. Not firm on price since most of them were out of stock on manda and have been for a while afaik, so I tried to set the price fairly based on ebay, amazon, manda prices. They're all 2nd hand afaik, picked up from ebay and Yahoo japan auctions but complete, and I'll double check before asking for payment.
I've realized I'm becoming something of a hoarder, just had these things sitting in another room for months now.
>>6348680
Thanks monitor anon, I wanted to try get unique shots of the products, cos people often just take front photos. There were no forbidden photography except for the stage with featured a qt actress from kamen rider drive.
As for macross, didnt take that much but heres a pic.
Do you guys think Movie Ingram will be exclusive?
>Sirbine re-release pops up on AmiAmi
AWW YISS-wait
>it's only 10% off and costs 7,580 yen
What the fuck.
>it sold out anyway
WHAT THE FUCK.
>HLJ had it for 6,630 yen, a solid 950 yen cheaper
I'm happy HLJ isn't being cunts like AmiAmi but the fact morons still bought it up at AmiAmi for a higher price is unbelievable. Are people really this stupid? Do they just trust AmiAmi to be cheaper even when they blatantly aren't?
>>6348867
yes. there are a lot of people who got into amiami back in the days when they were the best and the cheapest, and just never changed what they did. they are oblivious to how much hlj has improved, or in some cases, just don't care--amiami is what they're used to, and they don't wanna change.
>>6348337
I'm really happy Robot Spirits reached a quality level in articulation so high that poses like this can be easily reproduced
>>6348359
They should have based the design on Ebikawa's line art instead of the animation model. Heck, I think even the regular Robot Damashii has more sculpted details.
>>6348962
Right one looks like the Real Grade.
>>6348804
Probably. Maybe a 2 pack exclusive including the carrier.
>>6348918
The 00 Gundam had good articulation since its first HG kit. The design just lends itself well to a full range of motion
>>6349333
>Amiami knows this. And first and foremost, they are business.
Oh fuck off. Don't try to justify what AmiAmi is doing by pulling the "it's just good business" card. They are blatantly abusing the good will and trust they built up over the years. People assume they have the lowest price and get taken by surprise when they learn the un-cancellable pre-order they put in with AmiAmi was actually way higher than the competition.
It has nothing to do with Sirbine being popular either because they are doing it with new releases like SHF Skull, A.G.P. Sonico and many figma to name a few examples. None of the competition is engaging in the kind of pricing shenanigans that AmiAmi is. You know what else those shops aren't doing? Charging full MSRP plus sales tax. It was bad enough to see prices rise on release but then they started raising them on pre-orders and now they are charging full MSRP plus sales tax.
AmiAmi isn't going to go out of business for a long time simply because the reputation they built up as the cheapest but they are a fucking dumpster fire. There is no point using them because it's a total gamble and some figure you want may end up costing so much more it wipes out any tiny few dollar savings you might have had going on other stuff you wanted in that same month. HLJ, Hobby Search, Otakumode, BBTS and Amazon are all better alternatives. I haven't used MyKombini but their prices are also better than AmiAmi these days.
>>6348867
One thing I've learned is that Ami Ami is not always the cheapest but people still order things and pay more. Case in point, Figma Femto Deluxe from Berserk was @ $97 US on their site, it's was @ $85 US on NY. I paid 400 yen more in shipping on SAL than my friends did and got shipping with a tracking number. Mine came about 5/4, theirs was showing leaving Japan about 4/6 but no response since. AA doesn't offer tracking on SAL as far as I know. One friend's arrived finally on Friday. The other's still hasn't shown.
AA is NOT always the cheapest or best!
>>6349391
>You know what else those shops aren't doing? Charging full MSRP plus sales tax
Neither is amiami

>Price: 8424 yen
http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-017899&page=top
>Price: 7580 yen
No one is forcing you to order from amiami if you don't want to. You can continue to hate them all you want and take your money elsewhere.
But when you whine like that post, people are only going to think you are a faggot with a sense of entitlement.
>>6349391
>BBTS and Amazon are better alternatives
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
AaaaahhhahahahahahhaaHAHAAA
No.
>>6349391
>Otakumode
Lol no. Unless it's on sale it's always marked up and even TOM points are a big swindle because you reduce the TOM points you can earn by using them, so it's not a big boon. Even then unless you're buying items exclusively on sale you'd probably save the cash equivalent of TOM points by buying elsewhere. Not to mention the exorbitant shipping fees and the fact that they stock their inventory across the US and Japanese warehouses with no sense or consistency sometimes and you get bent over. They do have good customer service sometimes though.
HLJ and hobbysearch are usually great though.
>>6349455
Are you really this petty and pedantic? There are items on the site RIGHT NOW that are full MSRP plus sales tax. Figma Shielder was one such example, she went full MSRP plus sales tax months ago during the pre-order period. HLJ went full MSRP as well but was 500 yen cheaper on top of shipping being cheaper which is exactly my point. AmiAmi NEVER used to do this until the past 6 months.
>>6349480
For Bandai stuff? They absolutely are. Amazon often times has Bandai stuff cheaper than any import site, there are dozens of figures right now off the top of my head that are way cheaper by $20-30+. BBTS is good for standard Bluefin pricing and combining stuff into a big pile of loot if you happen to order a bunch of other locally distributed figures or western stuff.
>>6349493
I agree. Otakumode isn't as good as they used to be but if you get the right combination of sale, points boost and free shipping then it can work out well. I got figma Guyver IIF for the equivalent of like $35 shipped and I got a Nendo Kirby super cheap there as well. Recently ordered figma Zelda for like $26 shipped by using points I had in conjuction with a $10 off coupon and a $5 off bonus for signing up for premium. It's more situational with them but there are deals to be had.
HLJ is my go to shop for imports. BBTS is my go to for western toys, Kotobukiya statues and any Bandai stuff I missed on HLJ. Amazon is my go to shop for amazing deals via random sales for stuff I don't necessarily care about enough to pay full price. Otakumode is my secondary go to deal site focusing on imports Amazon doesn't carry.
>>6349583
The worst part about TOM is that they have shit stock, anything popular sells out quickly and the things that go on sale are mostly leftovers. If you're until scales I guess you might find a couple of nice deals on the latest, just because they're so expensive very few people buy them but unless you have like great coupons you can find better deals elsewhere from smaller anime focused stores. You still get fucked by like $20+ shipping so the TOM points you get for a $200 statue even out at best, so you're not really winning.
>>6349583
See, its hard to take you seriously because you really to come off as someone who thinks yourself entitled to these things.
Don't give them your business then if you hate them.
>>6349391
>People assume they have the lowest price
Only if they're stupid. You should always shop around if you want the lowest price.
>>6349480
>>Amazon
It depends. Most of the time there's a ton of Damashiis for the same price or cheaper than HLJ with free shipping. The Anime DOM is only like $45 bucks right now.
>>6349640
>See, its hard to take you seriously because you really to come off as someone who thinks yourself entitled to these things.
What are you even talking about? I don't feel i'm entitled to shit but that doesn't mean I won't educate people about AmiAmi pulling this scummy shit and how things are getting even worse lately. This is just another offense in a long line of offenses starting from the time when they separated the English and Japanese sites. Japan got exclusive sales, exclusive figures and different pricing on things. Yet despite all of this they still chose to add Japanese sales tax into the base price on the English site to make it seem like the discounts were 6% better than they were. It was all downhill from there.
You're trying to make it sound like I have an axe to grind and never liked them but I made hundreds of orders with them. I am angry precisely because I did like them and they were my go to shop until late 2016 when some of their bullshit went into full overdrive.
Amiami use to give nice preorder discounts, but they changed slowly and now they will even removed the preorder discount before the item release date. Some went straight up msrp on reopening after the first initial preorder sold out .
I think one of the reasons for this is due to all those people that preordered and then backed out, cancel, ignored payment , etc. which i assume is alot from their eng site.
>>6348337
>Review of the Metal魂 00

I see it on ami ami and hlj.
Ami ami is cheaper by a bit

Kotobukiya's putting out some good kits of the OG designs
>>6349654
Exactly, I got my Rick Dias for $20 thru an Amazon seller, cheaper than what I've seen elsewhere.
>>6348640
Stupid question I guess but since it doesn't say P-Bandai anywhere on the display card can I assume this is going to be a standard release? Or is that particular bombshell usually dropped some time after the figure is announced? I could see myself getting this and the gm sniper.
>>6349958

Thats because 90% of the time that means that theyre shipping from japan with SAL built into the price.

I'm talking about ones that ship from the US or are Prime eligible.

>>6350258
If Google translates well, they are basically lower quality (thus cheaper) RS, with simplified joints, but with still a good amount of posability.
>>6350320
Same simplicity as IBO stuff?
>>6350258
It also appears that TRI is only likely to do mecha shows where the mechs utilise a common frame.
>>6350323
I'd wish this means we get a Graze kit.
>>6349654
You're comparing the price of a new figure with that same figure 2nd hand after it's been out for a while .. its not comparable. If it's a new release then you're gonna have to wait at least a month or so to get it from amazon domestically and by then you'll be able to easily find it much cheaper at places like mandarake. And you won't have to sign up for prime either.
>>6350534
Meant to say through a 3rd party.. not 2nd hand.. although it's kinda the same thing 2nd hand implies that it's been opened.
>>6350538
How is it remotely the same thing? A 3rd party amazon seller just means it's a smaller shop selling through the amazon storefront. Many of them have their own websites that go unused or were closed. Next you'll be saying buy from shops on ebay are like buying 2nd hand even though often they have better packing than amazon who just tosses your junk in a big box with an air cushion.
>>6350534
>And you won't have to sign up for prime either.
you get free shipping regardless if it's over 35 bucks, and most RDs are, so your complaint is a non issue
it's not like HLJ gives you free shipping at all
Sell me on a Guncannon RD.
I have always liked the design, but I'm not sure I can get past the solid green visor... I wish they would've done it similarly to the GM's. As it is, it looks a little cheap comparatively.
>>6349847
is it wrong for me to say I liked the Revo Ingram better and that the Damashi Ingram turned me off to the whole line. It was just so over engineered in places that it wasn't fun
>>6350814
I agree. Not a fan of the RD Ingram. I was planning to get Unit 1 and 2 at least but after getting Unit 1 it put me off the entire line.
>>6350750
ANIME figures are slavishly devoted to the animation of 0079. If it looked that way in 0079, that's how the RD is going to look.
That's pretty much it, dude. Figure out if you want a stupidly, excessively animation accurate Guncannon or a more modern interpretation. You shouldn't be relying on others to convince you to spend your money in the first place.
>>6350814
>is it wrong for me to say I liked the Revo Ingram better and that the Damashi Ingram turned me off to the whole line. It was just so over engineered in places that it wasn't fun
Outside of being over engineered the RD felt cheap in ways it shouldn't have because of the nonsense RD typically pulls most of the time like unpainted unfinished looking weapons or parts. The light blue on the baton and arm extension piece were just so unattractive and reminded me of some cheap $5 toy. Don't even get me started on the shotgun being part of some webshop exclusive second release.
The Revo on the other hand came with 3 pistols (reloading, broken and normal), the two batons, shield and a shotgun. All of which were painted nicely and the reloading pistol even had individual cartridges painted. It was also much simpler and fun to pose around despite it's limitations.
With that said...i'm getting RD Zero because the coloration on the baton makes it look less cheap, same for the arm extension part. The coloration on the RD is also better in general because it's design has more areas of thick black and so the blue in the joints helps break it up. In the Revo it all bleeds together since they used a black undersuit/joint covering, it's not such an issue with Ingram 1 and 2 but it's a big issue on Zero. I'm undecided on some of the other releases though. I'd probably get a Griffon if they released it though.
>>6350991
Touché. Guess I'm just on tge fence and was looking for someone to give me a push.
My only point is that by what you said, the GM's visor should be similar to the Guncannon's, yet it's got more detail and a nicer finish.
Got my orange Zwarth today.
No difference from the other two Zwarth releases.
No, the question is, WHAT THE HELL IS TAKING YOU SO LONG TO GIVE ME THE GREEN GRUNT BOTUNES!
>>6351643
Same weight issues?
So I got Robot Damashii Deathscythe Hell a few years back and was kind of underwhelmed with it being very difficult to pose without a stand of some sort and all the easy to pop off parts. That being said, the new A.N.M.E Zeon suits look amazing. Should I pick them up or are they more or less the same?
>>6351100
The Guncannon's great, go buy it. Make sure you get the first run bonus parts with it.
>>6351935
Nag, go to town on the ANIME releases. Deathscythe Hell is one of the more finnicky figures from the line, but most of that comes from his cloak/wings.
The ANIME RD's lack the kind of design elements that would create such issues. The only one I'd be wary of is Char's Zaku; the knee joints have a weird locking mechanism that makes posing them a little awkward, and the hip joints get loose really quick for some reason. But everything else from the ANIME line had been great.
>>6351939
Eh, I'll probably skip out on the bonus parts. They're cool but not for me. Thanks though, I'll probably get one eventually. Gonna grab a GM first.
>>6348430
I cannot believe that this line is so good that I'm actually buying a fucking Gogg.
>>6351935
Not the same.
At least buy the ANIME Dom. One of the best robot figures ever.
>>6352141
Yeah, the ones I was looking at was the Gouf, Zaku, and Dom. If I liked those ones I was probably going to go for the other Zeon suits, prototypes, and variations.
>>6352141
my beef with the Dom is how bland the weapons are and how little accessories there are for it.
and the half a gundam shield is a bullshit item if you intend to army build
Do you guys think the Knight's & Magic figures will be in good supply or am I boned if I don't pre-order?
I don't have any money to spare in October since I pre-ordered that overpriced MP3 Samus Figma.
>>6352364
Eh? Do you have a Dom?
>>6352647
No one is going to pre-order it. It is a new frame and new line, therefore most people will wait for reviews before they decide.
It may even shelfwarm, who knows.
2chan seems to really like the Real Type Zaku as much as they seem to dislike the long lines and scalpers at the event. They're just like us!

>>6353417
Also if translatoranon is reading it would be fucking awesome if I could get a translation on both this image and what they're talking about in the thread where they keep talking about the lottery. Basically I'm trying to find out if they're speaking about a hypothetical lottery or if its something thats actually happening/happened at the event. Google translate can only take me so far.
>>6352647
I suspect they will bomb super hard. Like, maybe even approaching Vox Aura levels. The show has "huge financial failure" written all over it.
>>6350750
just get the HGUC revive
>>6353417
That means it is likely that they may do the Dom and Gouf as well.

>>6352999
no, for above stated reasons, also I'm pondering getting the Char's Dom but the beam bazooka is even more bland
>>6350325
The potential for a line that only does very recent shows that have robots that share a frame seems super limited. Like, they'll run out of properties that fit that almost immediately limited.
>>6352647
>>6353162
As much as I'm liking the idea of the pilot of this mech, and the history and design of the mech itself, a certain feeling I had about it proved to be true.
Just look up Earlcumber myanimelist if you want the lead, or even google the mech and look at images.
>>6353447
The series itself actually looks and sounds like it could be sweet, if not superb or terribly unique, as long as it's done right. It's almost like Monster Hunter with mechs from the little I've let myself see, among other things.
On another note
>taller than the Full Armor O Gundam
I was not expecting such a height from this line.
>>6353753
>Just look up Earlcumber myanimelist
Wait it's not even piloted by the cute trap protagonist?
What's even the point then? Shouldn't the first figures of the line be the actual protagonist's mecha?
>>6353767
Well, since you blew open the can of spoilers, let me scoop out some more: the red one is the protagonist's, while the white one is his teacher's.
I find it rather neat that MC goes for a more aggressive approach and that's not just my analysis, it's apparently the intention in the lore from what I skimmed. I just have a thing for shields and personally like the white one more.
MC's mech also has an interesting journey of its own, rather than just being a throwaway. Well, Earlcumber isn't thrown away either, but gets upgraded.
>>6353779
Well that's surprising. The color scheme of the red one doesn't match at all.
>spoilers
You must be new to mecha anime. What the main character pilots in a mecha anime is no bigger spoiler than which kids get which Digimon.

They are quite cool, my only problem is buying these early forms, especially with their simpler details, knowing they'll actually be upgraded.
The upgrades are so similar that it makes the initial ones almost worthless to buy, other than supporting the line.
That said, the upgrades are actually meaningful and awesome visually at the same time.
>managed to save up dosh and buy Mazinger Zero and Mazin Emperor before they sold out on AmiAmi
Yesss. Fuck resellers.
I already have Mazinkaiser so I still need Z, Great and Shin.
Maybe Great Mazinkaiser even though I don't like it that much.
>>6353678
Do the knees on the green zaku have that weird ratchet like Char's?
>>6354298
Nope! Char's is the only one with those joints.
They have the Gouf Flight Test Type listed on the ANIME pages map. I wonder if we'll actually get that or if it's just filler.
>>6354418
Of course, that's the point. They're teasing those choices, they have Marine Zaku listed there too, and that was before it was announced
>>6354418
Tough to say if you ask me. There's a few others listed on there (Gouf Heavy Arms, Zaku Tank, Zaku Worker even) that haven't been revealed yet either. They could just be on the map for the sake of showing where certain units operated during the OYW.
I'd take a Gouf Flight Test Type any day though.
>>6354257
What is that hangar thing that the Dom and Guntank are on?
>>6354259
They should do at least one MA web exclusive to test the waters.

Had to sell most of my RDs a while back... realizing I only have my Heavyarms and my Arbalest Lambda Driver ver.
What's some good stuff I missed out in the last few years? I want the FA RX-78-2, for sure. I want the G3 ANIME too if I could find it for a decent price. Did Wing Gundam or Shining Gundam come out good?
I wish they'd do an RD Gaplant and Messala but given how things are, I'm not surprised they'd be like 6000-7000 each.
>>6355439
The Messala is a huge MS. Its head height is 23m and then it has those huge thrusters
So how does pricing work for Robot Damashii? I noticed you can get the main Zeon suits for about $50 on Amazon but stuff like the Dom prototype is $100+ and only on specific figure sites.
>>6355654
The Dom prototype is a web exclusive, which is the reason for the discrepancy in price and availability. Basically, they're manufactured to pre-orders via a web orderform, with maybe some extras for customer service reasons, and that's it in most cases (a few get a second printing if the demand is extreme during ordering) so any you see now are on the secondary market.
Meanwhile most of the Zeonic normal mobilesuits were regular, wide releases available in large numbers at pretty much any store that wants to carry them.
Nuu finally got a RTZ.

>>6357752
That looks fantastic, anon! I love how you kept your lines light, adds that touch of detail without drawing too much attention to itself.
The Spiral Booster L-Gaim is on sale at HLJ for ~$25, is it worth picking up if I dont have any other L-Gaims? and it comes with all the parts from the regular L-Gaim right?
>>6357938
Also related: this might be a tough one to answer cause I don't know if anyone owns both, but is it still worth getting RD L-Gaim if I already have the HG kit? They look so similar to me that I'm debating whether I even need the RD.
>>6357902
>Oh ouch, I remember that. Fingers crossed you won't have any issues.
I cancelled it. Jet at least has an instant cancel button within 30 minutes
>>6357902
Thanks bud, that's exactly what I was going for.
I think a lot of RD's released could really benefit from some panel lining
Here's Char's Zaku
>>6357902
Is it just an optical illusion or is the blue one's white armor tinted bluish?
That this bothered me so much about the Wing Damashiis. None of the whites matched.
Picked up the HCM-Pro Special Painted Chars Dom. It's pretty nice, and I'll have pics soon but I wanted to share this ad that came in the box.
The interest rate is 3x higher than normal.
MSIA a shit, gib RD pls.
>>6354966
Remembered the name; Mechanical Chain Base. They make a whole bunch of variations of them.
>>6357938
It does come with the same stuff as the regular, can't help ya beyond that though.
>>6357953
Ahh, good call and good to know.
>>6357966
Again, looking good!
>>6357988
Your eyes do not deceive you, haha. Blue Frame does indeed have a slightly different shade of white compared to Red Frame. My camera is exaggerating/distorting it, but Blue Frame's white has a slight hint of grey, which makes it a bit duller compared to Red Frame's super vibrant white. The way it looks in >>6348341 is closer to how it actually looks in-person.
I can definitely understand being bothered by the inconsistency, but the way I see it the various Wing suits and Astrays were each fighting in different places and being maintained by different crews, so having them be varying shades of white is believable in that sense. Conversely if the Ingrams were different shades of white, that would have driven me nuts, haha.

I know I might get torched for this, but I think the MSIA's head looks better than the Dom RD's. The latter just look so like a digglett's head on top of a Dom body.
>>6361615
>Is there a special one I don't know about or is this it? 5k yen on manda:
Nope, that's it. I got mine for $30 shipped. But they aren't common at all on eBay. I saw the one for $300 and then about two weeks later some guy in Atlanta threw his collection up on eBay for a BIN of $30 with free shipping. Along with one of those Titan Test Team Galbaldy and Masarai sets for the same price. So I snatched both.
>>6361258
>Feels bad
Unfortunately some of the cooler things are almost impossible to find. I don't have all of the Universal Century EMSIA stuff yet but I almost have a complete regular UC MSIA collection (will likely never get many of the exclusives that were very small runs). The only two large items I need are the Psycho Gundam and the GP03. As far as regular figures I think I'm only missing a few from Zeta (Hyaku Shiki, Zeta Gundam, The O, Hambrabi, Gabthley and a few others, I have all the MK IIs, Rick Dias, Hi Zacks).
Of course I'm always grabbing extras of the grunt suits when I see them for a decent price.
>>6361615
What's the shipping normally like? Expensive?
Because they have some great prices on the MSIA, especially the older ones.
>>6358495
Cheers for the heads up, anon! Paid for mine the other night. They must have a bunch, as it's still available.
>>6361817

>Mandarake has very reasonable shipping. RSAL for an RD is generally around 900JPY or less.
Nice. There's quite a few things I want to pick up that they have that isn't ever on eBay or Amazon.
Also for $8 a piece picking up Zaku II ver1 to repaint is totally worth it. I plan on trying to turn them into EFF color Zaku IIs from Stardust Memory.
Are there any RD or RS Gundams that have tiny opening cockpits?
>>6361870
>Are there any RD or RS Gundams that have tiny opening cockpits?
The MSIA Version 2 RX78s and GMs have opening cockpit hatches.
>>6361870
Nah, don't think so. They would be almost microscopic and probably very easily breakable. The only ones I can really think of with opening cockpits are the Dunbine RDs.
>>6361878
The Queadluun from Robotech has an opening cockpit.
Really wish they made the green ones.
>>6361829
How long does is their shipping with RSAL?
>>6362917
Anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on how busy japan post is. Right now it would probably closer to the 2 weeks side, around xmas is when it starts getting into 2 month territory.

Whoa! Thanks much! I'd really begun to think I'd just imagined it.
Is it worth it to clear coat Robot Damashii figures? I've seen a few people on youtube do it in detailing.
>>6364511
I dont know why anyone would want to panel line or clear coat a figure, its not a model ffs
>>6364584
Because people can choose to do whatever the fuck they want to do with their purchases
http://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000115250/
>>6364584
I think the detail looks neat and have always found the Damashii figures by themselves kind of plain though I like them otherwise.
>>6364511
Worth it? I dunno, depends on what you want to do with them. They can certainly look a lot better detailed up and covered in matte, but the truth is top coat scratches easily as shit. Personally I think if you want to treat your figures like models, you might as well just buy models.
>>6364635
>if you want to treat your figures like models, you might as well just buy models
this has literally changed my outlook on figure-collecting in general. i'd never thought of it that way.
>>6364371
I don't play with my figures so personally the only bad thing about the GFF Xi is that it isn't in scale with the other GFFs (1/144)
Anyone have issues logging into Mandarake? I keep trying to login and it continually says wrong password or ID. I managed to login once yesterday but 99% of the time it won't let me.

No. Cleared cookies and apparently that fixed it for some reason.
>>6364584
Panel lining does help the look of RDs. I have even seen Bandai display RDs with some panel lining.
Also, DECALS. They look great on RDs.
Why does thZwauth have to be so expensive? I really want it, but at $200, its sadly out of my budget.
>>6365545
Because it's fucking huge?
>>6364682
>the only bad thing about the GFF Xi is that it isn't in scale with the other GFFs (1/144)
I don't think the GFF line was ever intended to be 1/144 scale to begin with.
https://reeoyuy.wordpress.com/2010/12/24/hguc-gff-zz-gundam-comparison/
>>6364589
Oh fuck. Where can I order this?
>>6365577
You are correct. The only line that tries for 1/144 is the Ka Signature RD stuff, everything else just picks an approximate scale and tries to keep consistent within the line.
Though I will note that recently, a lot of regular Gundam RDs have been pretty close to 1/144.
>>6364585
So aggressive, its not crazy to think those same people would be better off Gunpla then ruining a perfectly good RD. Honestly in my head its the same as those horrible customs you see on /toy/.
>>6364613
An actual respectable opinion. I like simplicity but I'd prefer to buy something that way or do it myself (model, gunpla, etc)
>>6364927
I get decals, decals are removable right? Panel lining not so much.
Sooooo who knows some shit in here that we ain't suppose to and can tell us if there's any SDCC exclusive RD I need to get my wallet ready for...???

A good number of RDs at 50% off plus bonus store credit. Grabbed Luna's Zaku Warrior myself. Considering some other stuff, like Enryugo to give Villkiss some company and Justice Gundam.
>>6362917
>>6362969
As anon said, two weeks is the norm, but because SAL shipments ship on a space-available basis it can potentially take up to 60 days. In my experience (living in the US), the vast majority of my SAL packages arrive in two weeks. For the rare package that takes longer, you can usually attribute the delay to holidays and such affecting delivery schedules.
Oddly, all my fastest SAL deliveries have always occurred around the holiday season (my fastest took just 4 days in a December!). Probably due to the shipping companies kicking up capacity at those times to help with the influx of packages and getting lucky with how the planes were packed, heh.
>>6363537
If you want to order multiples items, try to make sure the items you're ordering are all at the same store. They'll combine them and it will save you on shipping. If you order from different stores, then you'll have to pay shipping from each store as >>6363836 said.
>>6365867
>decals are removable right? Panel lining not so much.
That depends on what you use to do the lining, though. For example if you use Gundam markers or something similar, you can have nice results that are also quite easy to remove with a q-tip plus rubbing alcohol should you choose to undo the lining. You can even use pencil to do panel-lining that looks good too!
>>6366060
Pretty mediocre prices after shipping. You can still find most of them for around the same price shipped in the US. And the store credit is fairly meager.
Some other cool areas to check out.

Yeah, there's some outright stinkers too (for example the Leprechaun on "sale" for 6800JPY, I got mine from an HLJ sale last year for 3200JPY!), but there's a couple solid deals in there, especially if you've already got stuff at HLJ awaiting shipment in Private Warehouse.
It so difficult to find this damned Blaster rifle and double buster sword for the Seven Sword Inspection fake Metal build. It has been released two months ago, but no ebay Chinese sellers has it yet. I had to order it from a Chinese store, now I hope it comes without any problems.
I like even the double shield sword. It's something that with the Bandai you can not do since they give you one.

>>6366104
I have such a weird bad relationship with RD Leprechaun. I wanted it so bad when it was first announced, then canceled my preorder cause I decided it cost too much. Over the years I saw it go on sale 3 times, each time for a progressively cheaper price, and and each time I passed. I should just buy the fucking thing next time a good sale happens. I don't know why I'm being like this.
Well....actually, maybe it's because every time I'm about to buy I remember my annoyance with getting the ab crunch to hold on my Dunbine RDs. Damn those huge backpacks.

>>6366645
Don't worry, it may be cheaper if it flops as bad a the Barbatos, but then the problem with the Barbatos was just price, not quality.
>>6366322
My Leprechaun has no issues holding any pose. Most solid of all the Dunbine releases.
I think it's one of the best RD's. Up there with the Anime Dom.

Tax returns today, think I'll spend some of it on the Earlcumber. I do love my shields and ones that can hold primary weapons. I'm still baffled that it's taller than some of the regular RD releases.
>>6368636
Hes saying that robot spirits as a whole is not officially operating on a scale basis.
It looks like all the MSV anime releases being prioritised so far are those that had a 1/144 model kit in the early 1980s.
I am still hoping for a GM Light Armor. Not sure if we will get 100% new moulds like Guntank II and Psycommu Zaku.
I heard Zeonography figures are about 1/144, do they go well with Robot Damashii?
>>6368935

>>6368636
>how is that not an official scale?
>>6368723
>Hes saying that robot spirits as a whole is not officially operating on a scale basis.
So similar to MSIA? In that MSIA is generally about 1/162 scale but it's officially a Non Scale line and some of the figures and vehicles are a little bigger than scale or a little smaller than scale?
After the latest Knight's & Magic PV, well, really even noticing it exists after seeing the 15/30 second CMs, I think I'll get the red mech after all. It's really nice what a little sentimental value can do.
I was all over the Earlcumber because of that sweet aesthetic and shield-centric setup, but seeing the whole knights vs dragons concept applied to mechs makes me appreciate the dual-sword setup more (might even have to get an extra and paint it in For Honor's Warden colors).
All that said, it is a bit of a shame that Guyale's (nice name btw) swords don't become one bigger one, if only for the double-edge.
>>6370127
I'd buy the Psychomu test Zaku in a heartbeat after seeing it in action at the end of Thunderbolt

Got this stuff. Not sure if the scale is right for RD's but they look cool anyway so I figured what the hell, might as well for 20 bucks.
>>6372006
And when I say I'm not sure if the scale is right I'm talking about the magella tank and assault troop carrier, obviously not the Zaku.
>>6372006
Well, they won't be the right scale, cause HCM Pros are about 4" tall on average, but if you're not picky, the tank and carrier will probably look fine next to a RD.

There's no mold to exploit unfortunately. The Dom Tropen looks completely different from the Dom, even the arms and hands. The Dom's hands has knuckle ridges, the Dom Tropen has those standard Zaku IIF2 hands.
>>6375854
Yeah, I hate to say it but Dom Tropen is probably a long shot unless they start doing a 0083 run.

Drag out that GP-01 mold they showed off years ago, do Zaku II F2, Dom Tropen, maybe Xamel as a big ticket web exclusive, GP-01Fb, GP-02. Maybe just the GP-03 Stamen, not the whole Dendrobium Orchis. GM Custom and GM Cannon would be obvious too. The Gerbera Tetra, with maybe a GP-04 version web exclusive? Hell, they could use it as an excuse to do a Zaku 1 Warcrimes Ver. Do a Dra-C and recycle it as the Unicorn version too?

Fuck its beautiful. I am almost tempted to buy a second gundam just to display it in two modes at once.
>>6375253
>despite being a head taller than its MG counterpart.
This is the only reason I haven't picked one up myself. Half the fun of the Late UC designs is how small they are, why did Bandai fuck that up?
>>6376608
Fuck ka signature, they don't scale with normal RDs
Damn, I figured there might be hope since the Dom Tropen was in Unicorn and a number of those suits got figures.
>>6376639
Because if it was smaller they would have to lower the price, and this F91 has cost a lot in design and gimmicks. If it were not for such hard joints it would be the best MB product so far.
Anyways 17 cm is fine. This way they can do a Nu Gundam with 21-22 cm and it would be fine near the F91. 00 is 18cm. Exia and Strike Freedom are 19cm.
>>6376630
You could use a GM. You shouldn't have any problems outside of a specific tank mode.
Teaser for the next Xabungle Hi-Metal R. Seeing Timp's silhouette here I'm gonna guess the Brockary is next.
>>6377308
It could also be a Government
Nu Gundam is a solid figure, yes? I've yet to see the movie, but it's rather appealing, even the expansion set.
Got a new phone in so wanted to snap pics of the current collection. Got stands plus Sinanju and Hyaku Shiki coming in days. Psyched.
>>6377975
its rather solid yeah, of course like any other nu toy, fin funnels will feel a bit weighted but the posability is fab
>>6376838
None of the grunts besides the jegans and zulus
>>6378063
Really I wish we would have gotten more.

>>6378362
not anymore :^)
>>6378045
Thanks for the input! I think I'll snag it with the Earlcumber. I say that, but it'll come much sooner.
>>6378045
the fin funnels are extrermely fiddy on mine
>>6376852
>Anyways 17 cm is fine. This way they can do a Nu Gundam with 21-22 cm and it would be fine near the F91.
The MB F91 should be around 15 cm tall. How is that "fine"? And how in the world would the Nu being its proper height next to an improperly sized F91 also be "fine"?
Like if you're okay with it that's one thing, but don't act like you being okay with it means I have to be okay with it.
>>6378422
i have them off most the time, looks better without
>>6378362
They go quickly. I got one from auction instead at a higher price.
>>6378362
thanks for that, saw it and thought I may as well pick it up on the way home
Is prototype gouf worth it too?
Also the desert zaku being nearly 13,000 yen has me in tears, but i gotta catch em all.
Tempted to get chars rick dom for the space dom rifle
>yfw they rerelease dom with the space parts
>>6378424
I do not even know what the fuck you're trying to say, frankly.
Anyways, Yes, i'm okey with the 17 cm MB F91, higher than his master grade version. Could be for me, I would have made it 18 cm without thinking about the scale. MB are a line that has nothing to do with Gunpla.
>>6378536
If you want to catch them all.
>>6378544
Theres no way back up from this 0079 slippery slope
>>6366959
I just put it together. It was a lot of fun, and has a premium feel to it. I'm guessing this is what it's like to actually assemble a Metal Build. Yeah, the shoulders especially have some problems staying on during some poses, but it's not as bad as reviews make it out to be.
So far, loving how sleeker it is than the Dom
>>6378606
Stop making me want one!
>>6378632
I didn't know there was a desert zaku figure until you fucks mentioned it.
>200$
Fuuuuuuu
>>6378536
>Also the desert zaku being nearly 13,000 yen has me in tears, but i gotta catch em all.
I thought I was went over the line buying one for $90 shipped
Gouf Flight Type or even it's goofy ass prototypes pls
>>6379957
I think we might get the Flight Test Type in the MSV line eventually. We haven't gotten a Gouf variant yet, and the map on the MSV page lists the model number on there.
>>6380251
Correction: we did get a Gouf variant. My bad, I forgot about the Gouf Test Prototype.
>>6377975
I want a RD Re-GZ to go along with it so badly.
So little RD love for CCA, 0083 and 0080.... wtf Bandai.
>>6380270
>0083 and 0080
They had a GP01 prototype shown at a show earlier.
But a RD Kampher would be sex
>>6381098
>RD Kampfer
>RD Alex
Please Bandai just this once let me have my dream toys
>>6381108
>Kampher
I would buy 3
>>6379957
well, you know those legs aren't going to work in real life model right?
>>6378430
nah the nu without fin funnel is like the wing gundam without wings, just don't feel right
>>6381386
What do you mean?
>>6381394
I feel like they cheated a little with the illustration, with the legs flaring up that much, the figure would either be always standing at an angle, or have very very wide hips
either that or scale down how big he pant legs are
Are there any weight issues with the RD Dijeh's shoulder carrying all the weapons?
And why was the FA Mk-II so bad, is it due to the armor parts not staying attached?
New thread!
