She's super nice and was thinking to build a giant partyfied russian nuclear submarine to go with it that mermaids appropiated into a long distance underwater bus. i tried to match the architecture with the other modular buildings so i went for a pretty basic art deco kind of design. it's part of my main display now and i'm too lazy to separate it but i might have some pictures of the interior if i fish around a little

Probably because technic never really had a single standard scale. Models can be really small or really large and still underscaled for them. It caused more limits than that it added probably.
If you like character interaction there are minifigures and system that are more manageable in terms of scale and price. Most technic people were more interested in working functionality and stuff than an immersive world and pretty detailing.
It's a shame though, model team was a really impressive line that married the two very well.
