As mentioned previously, they also had white ruffs, which go for a buck fifty a pop on the ol' crackalinka, so I got three of those as well. All in all about 50% off the cheapest I could have gotten things, and I would have had to order from multiple sellers and pay shipping to boot.

The PaB wall had a ton of great stuff, including the white 1x6 panels in the background here. I think I might have gotten about 500 black cheeses.

I'm really happy that Veterinarian Girl's hair is so easy to fee for (it's an obvious bucket-shaped piece with two very pointy tips that are easy to feel through the bag). I'm going to be armybuilding this one and stripping the feminine curves (and ID badges) off of some of them to have a staff of both male and female hospital workers.

There's a certain comfiness to them. Also the sense of wonder and exploration of space as a new frontier was strong in the times when they came out, so it's inspiring on some level too. Does anyone remember Lego dropping the retail prcie of certain sets? Not put a set on sale or give a discount but actually lower the retail cost? Because I've had my eye on this set and recently Lego dropped it from $34.99 to $29.99, and all the sites that sell it have it listed at normal price, not discount. Lego Movie-era general was great. Really busy, but everyone was into the spirit of Lego and this lasted a good while. There's a reason the Power Digger became a meme at that time. It was a set everyone could afford with a lot of rebuild value, and it got everyone involved in the fun and the imagination.

One of the big problems is that bootlegs/non-Lego brands are routinely posted here when they have their own general and it causes arguments. Could you imagine if /biog/ did the same as /pbbg/? Whether you like the content of either of those threads, it's irrelevant - this general would be nonstop arguments.

Finally found Series 17 at my local Walmart. Two boxes, both nearly full, and I only found one Rocket Boy hidden among the cornfield. Seriously, someone had placed all the corn guys in one row but fortunately mistook one Rocket for the corn suit.

That same technique however can't exactly allign in system on the right because of the aformentioned lego logos on the studs.

simple answer though is that LEGO probably doesn't do sets like these because
(a) every set would end up costing $300 and
(b) for licensed sets, they usually only get a bunch of concept art from the studio so they have to work with whatever they have

that being said the gotg vol 2 sets are really quite awful, pic related is i think one of the worst superheroes sets ever made, but of course marvel knows that i'm a whore for minifigs so i fucking bought it anyway

Did a fugly mock-up with what parts I could scrounge to replicate it. Surprisingly, it stays upright. If you nudge it or put it down roughly the engines do droop but they show no sign of dipping if you don't deliberately screw with it. Just ordered the parts. Been collecting a bunch of rebel troops for an endor setting diorama. The Rogue One rebels fit in decently i feel too, giving the "army" a more rugged, desperate and varied look.

I like how rag tag it all looks and it's fun customizing each soldier, rather than just have 100 boring storm trooper copies.
