You dumb fleshie.
Please tell me I'm not the only person who hates the way nu-Technic looks.
Some of the models look like goddamn Playmobil.
>>6323357
You are the only one
>>6323357
I don't care for technic but the models are damn sexy
>>6323364
I don't care about bricks.I just want CCBS PotC!
Has anyone pics of the SW CCBS figures? HD maybe?
>>6323355
>he can't tell yellowfig ethnicities apart based on subtle printing cues
Wow, racist much?
>>6323400
CCBS is deaddead, why you don't combine the two threads into one.
>>6323403
Because no one wants bonkletrash to be posted here
>>6323403
For better or worse, System and CCBS discussions tend to stay separate from each other; merging the two together would probably result in a lot less being done in both of them.
Also /biog/ tends to get caught up in community drama rather often.
I don't usually buy sets for minifigs, but I made an exception for the Dimensions Sonic pack when I found it on sale. After finding out the instructions were in game only, I just made a Sonic.
>>6323357
not the only one
I kind of liked old technic for better integration with standard system parts, the studless beams and curvy panels don't really work for me.
>>6323311
Series 17 is hitting a lot of Walmarts in the east coast.
Spamming my shit again, in the proper thread this time.
>>6323427
Wanted to make this less star wars-y, I went a little overboard I think.
>>6323432
Still carries these containers in back. I like the look of these, maybe just because orange appears so wanton and sensual in comparison with everything else SW.
>>6323361
>>6323364
Head up fellow leafs, Dimensions sets have hit Dollarama for $4 a pop. Actually worth it price per part now, plus I didn't have a Unikitty/Emmet yet because I was a poorfag during TLM.
>>6323417
It's awful and I love it
>>6323443
Tablet
>>6323448
Couldn't be bothered to look up the instructions so i made a thingy. Was meant to be a car but I had pieces left over so now its this.
>>6323455
>Couldn't be bothered to look up the instructions
I hate that about the cheap dimensions packs. Don't you get instructions on how to put together the minifig? then
>continue in game for the instructions!
man, fuck the game
Anyone ever try this?
>>6323486
>>6323436
Those containers are cute!
>>6323504
true, they're not difficult, but I like having paper instructions and building new sets by them.
>>6323504
Why spend the time to work out a shitty minibuild and end up with garbage everyone has when you can just make something for yourself?
>>6323342
5 out of 5 are Disney properties so 0% change.
Reposting because I want suggestions for individual names.
I'm thinking Royce for Red, but I've got nothing for the rest.
>>6323417
why is Goofy dressed up as Sanic?
>>6323533
I'm not sure Flynn will work for Blue.
Also, Olivia? . . . Oh, wait, okay. What, Quorra isn't good enough for you?
>>6323526
The Space Police team I made a few months ago ended up all being named after colors.
>>6323526
Reggie, Betty, Archie , Jughead, Veronica.
>>6323417
You can download the instructions on Lego's website. All you need is the set number. Hey presto!
>>6323526
Jack,Will,Carina,Salazar,Elizabeth.
>>6323556
Red is named Carina? Red's a dude. I don't think Carina will work for a male Red.
>>6323563
You choose the names.
>>6323542
that must get confusing, except for the one uncomfortable looking black guy.
>>6323560
>Transformers
>not a dead horse
Transformers may not be dead, but it's been beating that horse since movie number two.
Movie tie-in shit is already shitting up the shit shelves at shit stores. Don't give me that shit.
>>6323563
Mortis is better?
>>6323566
Okay, then.
Claude, Beth, Royce, Mikey, Gina
Captcha: Frampton Calle
>>6323571
Mortis the Red. I like that name for a villain!
That might be funny. "Hey, you can't be 'the Red', I'M the Red!"
Drax,Belatrix,Stefan,Lariana.
Deni, Maria,Akira,Krog,Shadowface,Darkfire,Sarkar.
>>6323580
Waa! That's too many names for one guy!
>>6323582
Waa! That's too many names for only five guys!
>>6323526
Whatever their names, the green one has to be a Chinese spy/saboteur secretly responsible for the Big Bad getting away again and again.
>>6323585
You have to choose one of them! What name do you like?
>desperately want a Raven minifig
>get TTG ver instead
Gee, what did you expect from asking Lego's corporate Twitter account about a leaked product?
>>6323597
It was a joke on green having the counterfeit torso
he should also have a horrible accent and attempt to eat everything with chopsticks.
>>6323600
Pics of whatever they're talking about?
>>6323606
A leaked Flash mini figure from the Justice League movie
>>6323602
>It was a joke on green having the counterfeit torso
Oh shit! I totally didn't get that. That's funny!
>he should also have a horrible accent
Like Neimoideans
>and attempt to eat everything with chopsticks.
Like pizza
>>6323607
Yeah, I figured that. Nice to meet you, Claude. I'm sure you're not a fake-accent Chinese saboteur. . . or are you?!
>>6323609
So,who is the villain?
Hey,what happened to the anon who made that cool mushroom warrior? Did he make more? Like a mushroom castle?
>>6323620
The villain doesn't and may never have a minifig. The big bad is a megalomaniac overlord wanting to take over Earth, calling himself Destiny (as in "I am the galaxy's destiny")
>>6323623
Cool,if you have pices and time you could make(if you want) for him an giant minifig like Ant Man or Ares.
>>6323625
*pieces
>>6323625
Yeah, I guess I could. But I don't think he's necessarily giant. I just think he's shadowy and reclusive, like Great Leader Shocker.
>>6323621
I'm here. Was going to make a brown mushroom today by brassoing off some tan bodies and legs I had, but I couldn't be bothered. Might do it tomorrow.
Next time I get some money I might buy some parts to put together some more.
>>6323632
Oh,cool.
>>6323631
Does he have minions?
>>6323642
Yeah, these guys. I got ten of them on aliexpress. Will the super sentai be up to fighting them off? Who can know?!
>>6323608
Yes, I gathered that through context from the text where they talk about a leaked Flash minifig.
I was actually asking for pics, hence my use of the word "pics" in that last post.
>>6323488
I have another construction set bag-built too. Why is it always construction stuff?
>>6323642
I also have a small troop of these guys to be other minions.
Thanks everybody for your ideas for names and general encouragement. I have to go to work now, so if you post anything else about super sentai or big bads or mooks or names or whatever it'll be hours before I respond.

Have you glorified Corn today /lg/?
>>6323357
A lot of new sets are really just system sets built in technic. I do miss the more skeletal look of older technic lines, but the engineering has never been more complex than what we have today.
>>6323710
I don't mind the beams, but the fucking panels make it look nothing like Lego anymore.
Look at this shit.
>>6323342

>>6323726
Yeah, sales are dropping and with the games current technical state it probably wouldn't be possible to fit another year of content in without a Skylanders style sequel. The game is a fucking mess of bugs and crashes right now, and it only gets worse with each update.

Time Lego starts depicting Islamic culture.
Tired of western this western that Lego needs to start setting things right and start making more Islamic themed sets.
We should start a petition and strong arm people on Lego creator into making there creations more Islamic.

>>6323725

>>6324262
>>6324271
brickforge, yup.
It's more cello sized.
I don't build mechs much (heresy I know) but i made this today while watching movies. Love the super posable, skeletal arms and the roll cage. Really hate the legs, weak pelvic joints especially. Any tips for a scrub-tier mech builder?
Speed Champions is such an odd theme too me.
Way to many stickers and designs that are 7/10. If your medium is interconnecting bricks of all colors and you want vehical length stripes, build it.
Disappointing, but rewarding to rectify.
Also the gt40 is nearly perfect, the new GT however, is abysmal.
I'm was looking at the 918 and 917 set, I'll most likely get it, and be back here complaining.
Gulf GT40 and 917 though, that's my end game.
>>6324321
agreed on most points
And that is a really nice AMG.
>>6324291
I like the skeletal look and asymmetry. No suggestions... maybe I would rework the hips to use ball joints, it seems like it'd hold together better, maybe not.
Maybe add a jump jet on the back for more mobility?
come to think of it, how does that cage attach with the twin guns?
>>6324183
they already did the Taj Dalai Osama in architecture line and maybe some indianajones things
>>6324321
I agree, i'm also not such a fan of 4-wide centred cockpits but they make great partspacks and some stickers came in handy for other mocs.
I'm thankful for the new wheel-related pieces they introduced alone. I would've been all over them as a kid probably.
>>6324192
>>6324336
alternate pic showing cage for you. it sorta "clips" behind that grey modified 2x1
>>6324321
Building the modern Mustang GT I found myself constantly raising my eyebrow at the design choices. But as a Mustang owner I figured maybe I'm just a little TOO familiar with my car. Perhaps not. Glad to hear someone else's impression of the Speed Champs sets; they don't seem to have been all that popular.
>>6324358
Neat design. IIRC the exo-suit uses something like that.
>>6324365
The taillights especially disappointed me. This is a still compromise, but on the real car the, taillights where instant classics. They deserved more effort.
The 5.0 sticker tho, that excuses alot for me.
Done with the f40. It's god damn beautiful.
>>6324401
I omitted the stickers for now and moved a few parts around.
>>6324403
Now I want all the lego creator vehicles, specially the Mini.
>>6324406
I can't pick a favorite in between these two.
>>6324406
Christ, that is pretty.
that cutting mat perfectly expresses the 80's into 90's vibe.

The fact that lego retired this was a really stupid idea and shows how weak they are.
This is really detailed. Shame he's locked in another bland Batman vehicle.
>>6324422
They're based in Europe so it was probably illegal for them not to
>>6323755
You can also not be a dick and actually post that relevant information in the Lego General since it may interest other people
>>6324422
I read that they retired it after a normal set lifespan and were just like "yeah, we totally retired the set because of the complaint guys."
But even then saying that was stupid as the claim from the muslim group was stupid

This set is fucking awesome, the techniques to get the outside are amazing
>>6324619
I read the Brickset review, but they didn't show the inside too much. This is quite amazing.
>>6323946
Do they have separate vehicles that combine into a giant mech?
>>6324275
Likewise. Not sure if it will work with pic-related, though maybe it will. An autistically-screeching crab-monster?
this costs $75.

More detail doesn't make it better. From a distance it just looks like a bunch of random lines
Then again, it makes it accurate to the movie

>The fact that lego retired this was a really stupid idea and shows how weak they are.
Lego retired it at the end of 2013 like they were already planning to. Nobody from TLG ever claimed that they retired it "early" because of the made-up controversy. That's just some bullshit whoever wrote the article made up.
Take a deep breath and try to understand that the spooky scary SJWs don't actually control the world.
>>6324678
Your paying for all the hours that went into designing it⸮
>>6323725
Holy fuck, those panels
I think I'm gonna throw up
updoot to my shitty mech. probably going to leave it as is.
Didn't bother color matching but I like the junky look. i feel like using mixel joins for the entirety of the leg assembly was cheating but oh well

I may want some if so
I don't know why B&P sell baseplates in a greater variety than the shop at home cheaper, but I sure used the option to buy a bunch.
The green plates they sell one by one is still the wrong green, no?
>>6324678
>4 hours designing your own version
>2 hours sourcing the parts from random bricklink stores
vs
>15 minutes ordering it
some people make enough per hour that they would rather choose option 2.
>>6324974
Some colors like red are still exclusive to big sets.
But as for why green and tan are cheaper there than everywhere else, I have no idea.
>>6324976
>4 hours designing your own version
Based on that picture, it should take about five minutes to assemble.
>but le poorfag!
You don't get rich wasting money on garbage, friend.
>>6324974
>The green plates they sell one by one is still the wrong green, no?
Yeah, why are the new baseplates that Spring Green color instead of plain green
>>6324623
Not yet. And if they ever do, it won't be minifig scale. I'm not up to something that yuuge.
I'm still trying to dream up some kind of individual vehicle to make five of. I'm thinking some kind of cycle to begin with, but I'd like to graduate up to some kind of flying machines.
>>6324983
I don't know. I bought two 16x32 green plates to make some smaller modulars. As far as I can see the dark green 32x32 costs slightly less on B&P than the spring green ones.
Did they change the sand color as well?
>>6324983
It's called bright green. Spring green is the color used in ninjago ghosts and Bonkle face huggers
>>6324947
Need for enemies, keep the clay figure setup for spare parts.
>>6324951
Really want the enemies here too, vehicle would probably be just for parts, as would the Aaron figure.
>>6324954
Probably the priority buy, massive enemy to fight, and I still need a jestro figure. black gargoyle, smaller enemies, stone clay, and a new mace design are just icing on the cake.
>>6324957
Can never have too many dragons.
All the other sets could wait for a sale or something.
>>6324984
If I make a combiner, it will probably be the way megazord toys are. I kinda like the idea of putting together combining parts around the scale of Dimensions vehicles, but I think those might be TOO tiny.
I might also do something with fewer than five parts to start with: In my headcanon, the group started with Royce, Beth and Mikey (Red, Blue and Green) and then added Claude and Gina (Black and Yellow) somewhat later, kinda like in Engine Sentai Go-Onger, which started out with Red, Blue and Yellow, and added Black and Green later.
Whatever I come up with, they'll probably be like classic Japanese combiners: Big blocky elements that combine into a big blocky giant robo.
>>6325036
What would you use the Venus Mantrap for? Would it be the head of a giant man-eating evil robo?

So much this. I have a blue dragon and a green dragon from Ninjago that I'm still keeping in boxes.
Not that I'm a boxfag: I just haven't taken the time to assemble them yet. I guess I'm waiting to reward myself for something. But I have to do something reward-worthy.
>>6325078
>Ultra Agents standing by in party van if Baby Groot is used.
That's some kind of -ist, right there. Just because Groot is small doesn't mean he's extra young. He's just regrowing. He's only a baby physically. Mentally, spiritually and socially, he's as old as he was when he was huge.
>>6325082
Did you just assume Groot is ancient just because his species are normally Big Guyâ„¢s? For shame!
>>6325076

This is gonna be a great parts pack for my Space Miners
Finally got some parts I ordered to finish this one up; gotta say this was a pretty fun build to work on.
Now I'm tempted to try doing stuff like this with the other Nexo Knights sets when they come out.
>>6325187
Oh BOY that's nice.
So many great details but I think the Nexo shield integrated into the lower jaw is what does it for me.
>>6325187

Does make one wonder how it feels when Clay takes off the shield to use it...
"Not cool man, that's my jaw!"
I haven't bought a LEGO in a while, but I recently went into a LEGO store and I saw that there was a Technic Bucket-wheel excavator.
some of the reviews praise it, others say it's an okay set. What does LEGO general think about the set? Do you guys recommend it or should I pass on it?
>>6325201
It's impressive piece of ABS, but arguably it's bit boring. It's just a thing. Thing that's not visually nice looking to begin with in real life. Also it's almost too much for the included engine to handle and it's bit expensive to boot.
>>6325126
Speaking of Brikwars Forums, would anyone be interested in an Lego General Forum War (via 4chan of course)?

I usually don't bother acknowledging these people but its gotten to a point where even normies are trying flip their year old battle packs for double the price and all the stores have half their shit hidden around for them brickseek deals.
I'm only glad that Lego re-releases half of their star wars sets with improvements every few years because the "investors" are so ever strong in scalping up star wars.
>>6325377
i just want my Lego to go on clearance with no scalpers and assholes buying it up, Lego is pretty pricey for me as is, i just want some deals god damn it.

Pretty much; most of the pieces that weren't in the set itself came from various Mixels and that mini Volkswagen set from a couple weeks back.

They are listing pic related for 10 dollars.
The highest rate of .67 per brick.
>>6325441
on one hand it is fucking ridiculous
on the other hand somebody keeps buying their sets, so maybe it's actually fucking brilliant.
>>6325377
Buy used if your that desperate for the Klocki. I buy 20-30 lb. tubs for between $50-$100 every time I have the urge. I get everything including Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter sets mixed in. Sometimes I get almost entire sets still assembled mixed in. Now and then I sell some of the figures and make most if not all of my money back. I like to build freestyle and MOC modulars. It works for me.
>>6325506
Where do you get those? Do you just go to local yardsales and eventually come across a tub?
>>6325516
Mostly Craigslist, but I ask about everyone I meet if they or anyone they know have kids that have grown out of the hobby. I have the cash and buy big Rubermaid totes more often than I should. I must still have over 100 lbs. to sort which, with the nice weather coming fast, I may just wait till the fall.
>>6325525
do you sort each individual piece based on color?
With 30 lbs in a container it seems like it would take a while.
>>6325537

You should sort by type. Makes it easier to find stuff.

>>6325583
>Wow. You managed to mix all three eras into one army to make the ultimate noncanon army.
Yeah, my primary army is Battle Droids, but that also means I've ended up with a various assortment of Clone Troopers.
Naturally I also acquired a few OT Stormtroopers as well as the First Order Transport, so I just made them one continuous Peach Empire.
This also ironically means I now have a small Peach Resistance to oppose them as well.
>>6325588
>Easy to work around, though; just arrange multiple images together in a single file.
Yeah, but you're already spending energy taking orders, rolling results, and setting up shots, so the extra work of splicing in post might be a bit too much effort.

It does take a while to sort. I sort specific pieces like tiles and hinges and other smaller pieces into small drawers. Other more common brick I will sort by color and put in larger Sterlite tote/drawers like red 1x2 1x4 1x6 etc. That's easy enough to grab what I need when building.
I'll buy enough to almost overwhelm me because I know sorting will take a while. I also like to keep a tub or two mixed to get the creativity flowing. Sometimes seeing everything mixed gives me an idea I would not have necessarily had otherwise.
>>6325797

And on other note, the Landspeeder has terrible PPP ratio too. At least it's still reasonably priced.
>>6325936
I think the perfect example of license-shit getting high prices for no reason is the new UCS Death Star. It has around 4016 pieces which would be almost perfect for a $400 price, but instead they slapped on an extra $100 for no reason.
And you can't even say it's for "muh designers" because it's literally a carbon copy of the first one with a few minor details changed.

Is it possible to order peroxide without the hydrogen online? Like, off Amazon? I've tried looking there but they seem to only have the hydrogen kind too.
>>6327289
It's partly a trick played on your eyes by the poorly-placed light and dark graphics. Frankly, it looks like the kind of thing that happens because they've got a set way of doing graphics. A junior designer who had to put this together probably noticed the weird effect and took it to the senior graphics editor and was told to shut up and do as he's told.
>>6327705
On the off chance it's not a troll... Hydrogen peroxide is what you want. "Peroxide" by itself isn't a thing, any more than the "dioxide" from carbon dioxide is a thing.
