They didn't, it's very likely the Seeker and Conehead heads were already alternate heads included with those molds, Takara just used them like they did Ratchet.

That being said, it's a bit sad they didn't just do a set of 3 normal seekers, and 3 coneheads in CW bodies.

Like I enjoy voyager and leader sized things the most (pretty much MP scaled), and I think the size of CW combiners and MP Ultra Magnus to be perfect for "big guys", but titan class things are just too much.

Not big fan of the movie hound, I think he had some great potential but a more Prime bulkhead style would have worked better. The Deluxe toy actually doesn't look that bad of a mold, but the drab colouring really lets it down for me - looks very soulless IMO.

That being said I'm not a big fan of many of the Bayverse designs.

Did a Sqweeks and Drift review tho. I like both, and these two and Barricade so far are my favourites from the new toy line - glad I picked them up.

Just putting together the Voyager Prime review and for the price if you're just looking for good toys, he's not really worth.

Most looking forward to Leader Class Megs and Deluxe Steelbane.

Were you not paying attention to the last movie? Humans created a new body based on tech stolen from Megatron's body in Dark of the Moon. When Prime "killed" Megatron back in Dark of the Moon, he really just fucked up his body, but his conciousness was still well and good.

Megatron kept his consciousness at bay while the humans rever engineered a new body for him based on his old body. Once the new body was created, Megatron took over the body with his conciousness and was back in action.

They really need to standardize their designs a bit. Kup, Triggerhappy, and Topspin are really excellent designs in every way and that sort of stuff needs to be applied to everything. Kup's legs in particular are fucking amazing, and Topspin hides almost all of his hollow effectively.

I used to love Generations Kup and his alt. mode is still the bomb, but this new mold looks really fun. Older Generations stuff is just too fiddly for my liking nowadays. A lot of them exist in this halfway place between retail and MP where all the extra complexity just ends up resulting in more kibble, and there's always a lot of shell-forming going on. I think the current line is really finding the balance between creativity and simplicity with the designs and transformations.

I already pre-ordered Japanese Shitpiece. The fixed colors and inclusion of a targetmaster were just too much to resist.

I like both versions. I appreciate the Hasbro colors being in-line with the toy/comic version of Kup, but I'm just not a fan of the face sculpt, it doesn't really look like Kup in any previous incarnation, and since Hasbro has really been nailing face sculpts lately, it's disappointing. Yeah, I noticed all the pics of him make his face look way worse than it actually is. Sort of how MP Hotrod looks a bit "meh" in photos, then you get him in hand and he looks great.

It's just one of those things where there really were no good pics of the face. Mine still isn't a great pic by any means, but it sure as shit shows off the face better than anyone else I've seen.

So the the 3 Tiny Turbo Changers that I got were Prime, Sideswipe, and Starscream. Sideswipe and Starscream are pretty damn solid and they both do a pretty good job at representing there characters in SD form. Prime on the other hand is a little bit disappointing. His shoulders are loose as hell and he needs more red on him. Hopefully they will do Movie 1-3 and Evasion Prime soon

I'd rather they'd ditch the lion mode and do the jet mode. I always saw him as an homage to the Botcon A3 which was a retool of Vector Prime, what with the circular motif on the chest, and he turned into a cool spaceship.

Instead, they try to make it a double homage to ANOTHER BotCon A3 figure and it becomes a halfway house. I still like both modes, but I'm not in love with either.

Just picked up Hardhead and Getaway/Breakaway.

Hardhead's a cool dude, I enjoy the big guns. Breakaway's vehicle mode is slick as heck even if the wheels aren't really low enough to roll properly. All in all a good haul.

I'm almost certainly biased and wrong, but I was wishing they had like... put the car hood and jet nosecone kibble on a ball joint instead of a hinge, so that they would have the option to make bots with the hood/nosecone on their chest, and reuse the molds for everything from early Autobot cars to RID spychangers/flipchangers, skyraiders and European predator jets.
Also if they'd gone to the trouble of reshelling Wheeljack so his alt mode was turned 180 and his feet formed from the hood, they could have reused it the same way for Technobot Lightspeed. Sometimes I feel like the brand could do some really great things even within the same cost-cutting measures they use. I'm always disappointed when they fail. I wish I could stop being a fan. Maybe a few more years of this and I'll be able to drop it.

Picked up my first and probably only MP seeker today from the post office.

Is it normal if I don't really get the complaints about him not staying together well? Just about the only issue I have is the titty-mounted missile launchers wobbling slightly when I move the arms around, and that's it. Am I the first person to transform him properly? Or maybe this re-issue has some kind of retooling? He comes pretty mistransformed in the box and was floppy as fuck then, but turning him to a jet and back straightened him out good.

Other than that I think he's pretty neat. He's pretty damn lacking in articulation compared to other MPs but I don't find him terribly hard to pose. I thought the fucked up feet would be a problem but if anything the "an attempt was made"-tier hips are the only thing that has to be worked around. It's also interesting finding little things that are obviously left overs from the MP3 version of the mold, like the pinned-together crotch piece that has no reason to be two pieces pinned together on this mold.

I think the only thing I actually dislike are the hands. The little knuckle joints just love to pop off and disappear into the carpet forever. Are there any good replacement hand kits for this?

This is allegedly the case. I never owned an earlier version of the mold, but I got MP-11T, and he stays together pretty well, especially after I tightened the screws that hold the sliding mechanism for his torso together.
