It's funny how EVERYONE hates these things, but it seems as though everyone owns at least one. Whether it be a gift from someone or a character or franchise that doesn't have any merchandise, everyone eventually caves to one.

The only ones I've bought are the TFA Luke and all of the Reys that they've made.

People always equate them to beanie babies, but I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. They have staying power because they have so many licenses and with new movies coming out constantly in our overly saturated pop culture media, they will always have new ones to create. Hell, they can always just cash in with an old franchise because it's pandering to nostalgia. I might also have to give into the new LOTR ones that are coming out in June.

So how likely is it going to be that the Lucio and Symmetra Pops are going to have awful QC on their visors like Tracer? Are other Pops with translucent plastic over their faces as bad as her?

you also don't get why people make that comparison, its not so much the staying power(which beanie babies DID have going in popularity for at least five years) but more the collectible side of it. Beanie babies shot to such high popularity becauise everyone was so sure that as long as they protected the cardboard tags on the babies and kept them clean they would become super valuable as they get retired. Same thing with funko initially, tons of scalpers and investment collectors buying them by the truckload and nearly everyone keeps the boxes thinking it will increase their value in ten or so years.

I saw them at a store today. Intended to get McCree, Symmetra, Lucio, and Mei, ended up not getting any of them. The QC seems exceptionally bad, typical sloppy paint but also scuffs, globs of glue, and misaligned pieces. One McCree had his entire back half of his head placed incorrectly with a bunch of glue sticking out of the sides. Another had a weird white powdery substance on his hat. Symm's visor also looks terrible. FWIW Mei and Lucio seemed to be the least consistently bad.

I'd be happy to pay more for these things if they could get this shit in order.

Funko really fucked up with this new Overwatch wave. These things are IMPOSSIBLE to find. All the Gamestops ive been to only got enough for pre-orders or none at all, ive also heard the same online. any HT sold out almost instantly. I was lucky enough to find a Symmetra

I got lucky with the Water Clone Rose. My Toys R Us had 7 left and I decided to buy it out so I could get the display too.

I might go there tomorrow or the day after, but I think I might be able to still get them. Honestly, I've been kicking myself for ignoring these when they were first released. I cleared out my old DVDs and took them to 2nd and Charles and they gave me about 20 bucks in store credit so I went ahead and bought some pops. I had been seeing this Pearl pops for a while but it has this stupid mouth on it that just ruins the design for me. So I bought it and wiped the mouth of it.. 100x better.

check the bottom of the feet, sometimes they have excess plastic causing the problem that you can just shave/cut off. if the problem is that the feet themselves are bent out of shape, you can dunk in hot water or put under a hairdryer to soften the plastic, then bend into shape and let cool. usually POPs fall backwards, so i stand them up and put pressure on the head leaning forwards. let cool to room temp while applying pressure and it should stay like that. you can also put them in the freezer for a bit, i've heard that it will make the change more permanent.

What I've done many times is dunk the pop in boiling water, and then put it in a bowl of ice water. Its soft after the hot water, so you can press the feet on your counter or even the bottom of the cold bowl so that they're flat/bent how you want, and the cold water makes them rigid pretty fast. Really easy and works well.

Not that guy, but my McCree doesn't stand either, and it's not the feet- its the head. It's super heavy, and the peg where the neck goes in looks to be on the far edge instead of in the center like most of my other Pops, which is helping throw the balance off.

I personally love the simplicity in the design and the fact that i dont have to worry about broken joints.
I used to buy neca and mezco stuff but i got tired of the rise in prices and i got tired of lack of quality.
The neca terminator robots would literally break as soon as you tried to bend them. Their alien figures always came with broken tails and broken feet.
Older mezco toys are sticky and gooey to the touch. Prices ate too high.

Funko pops are great small cheap figures of my favorite chatacters and they look great on my desk. Theres an elegance in their simplistic small featureless design.

People hate the faces but i actually love them. They remind me of chibi drawings and i like that a lot. Some people actually think funko pops are japanese toys, they resemble anime toys a little bit.

People shit on funko pops but to me they are a really great cheap collectible.
Their horror line is amazing. I love how cute leatherface and jason Voorhees look on my desk. Makes people laugh to see them

hi i just have a question, i bought a Major at toysrus today and i noticed a difference I just wanted to ask about since I only have two other of these vinyl cancers to compare her to

the head feels heavier than my two others (lol jinx and bebop ed) i have and doesnt look or feel as "soft" as them and the neck peck kinda just goes into the head instead of having some kind of mold seal like ed there has.

is this just normal manufacturing variation?

you can check on ebay for "funko pop" on the sold listings and check "Higest price" and you can see how people will pay up to 500 to 900 for some pops

facebook sale groups also are ways people buy them and amazon sells them cheaper than the store so the reason you see them pile up in the stores is because people rather go to amazon for them

Ducktales was recently confirmed via GameStop preorders, there's also a Magica De Spell POP that's exclusive to GameStop (which is odd, it'd be a better fit if she was a Hot Topic exclusive).

My only worry is that the Heartless POP is going to be another Shadow figure, we don't get enough of the other Heartless species when it comes to merch.
