I've occassionally had orders where they mixed up or forgot one part from a large order or something was wrong with a part. But it was always quickly resolved and refunded. Bricklinksellers for the most part actually care about Lego or atleast know their shit very well. Buying secondhand from a random ebay-like site seller will get you scammed way more likely.

There was this one guy that blundered pretty hard. He made some mistakes and forgot just a few small pieces, so he sent the forgotten and mixed up parts my way free of charge.
>mfw he then AGAIN had a mixup.
I emailed him to inform him about it. But honestly i just felt emberassed for him and didn't feel like the 1x1 transclear plate and technic balljoint brick were worth him paying like 60 euros in shipping. So i said i'll ask about those parts the next time i might shop there.
He tryied.

New to the mini figure series

Best way to buy the minifgure series just to go to the store feel out the bag or make a hole to confirm the guy you want?

Also aren't these things at big risk of just being stolen or lifted from the store?
>>
>>6264825
a lot of people grope and fondle the little bags until they're a crumpled looking mess, even posting guides on what to feel for

and yes a lot of people open them and steal. Don't be a dick anon.
>>
>>6264825
>Also aren't these things at big risk of just being stolen or lifted from the store?
You have no idea.... Also best way is to either do feel method or buy them from bricklink so you don't waste money buying copies of ones you don't need.
>>
>>6264825
I sometimes feel them up, though I always feel weird standing their groping lego bags like their tits.
You can also buy most of them from bricklink for reasonable prices, though it can sometimes depend on how rare or in demand it is.
Oh and it someone has opened one and left it open there, feel free to pocket it. If one of the staff finds it, they destroy it (seriously).
>>
>>6264540
Ah, Lego Hera. The finest.

Speaking of, the Freemaker's season 2 preview dropped:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Wo9KMY26Y

At least now it's possible to match some of the grainy footage of new sets we saw awhile back with actual ships. Alas, no sign of Zuckuss.
>>
>>6264825
Personally I find the best way is to buy one first, either random or feel something obvious shown on the package. That way I get the insert that shows the figs and their equipment. That makes a great cheatsheet since the easiest things to feel for are typically equipment. Either large parts (rocket or corn costume, distinct from each other by the feel of the sides or the bobble on the top) or small and distinct. Trident, Barbell, hotdog, sword/shield, baguette, surfboard, wings, cellphone, hammer/mohawk.

A new set is always confusing at first but I find it doesn't take too long to get used to it and once you learn to recognize the parts through the package you can work through a stack pretty quick. Relatively, that is. I sometimes spend up to half an hour on a full bin.

As for people stealing them, yeah that probably happens. You can also find bags people have ripped open and sometimes parts spilled when they didn't want it. I don't know if the theft drives up the price but there is a risk that some stores may decide they are more trouble than they are worth.

Seeing as how Pirates seemed to bomb I'd love it if they'd weave a Castle theme into the Creator line to test the waters. My four year old nephew is crazy about Nexo, Ninjago and Speed Champions. Unfortunately I can't imagine the demand for vehicle sets disappearing at all.

>>6264825
Be prepared to spend up to 40 minutes if you have a substantial want list and have no shame about it. My (not so serious about Lego) partner is somewhat amazing at isolating pieces. Even if she isn't 100% certain I save a lot of time swapping bags between us.

It's mostly lego compatible. The studs on the plate are too loose for minifig feet but are okay with bricks, the accessories are juuuust loose in lego hands, the legs can be swapped with minifig legs (though minifig legs > oyo torso is really tight). Minifig arms can go in the torso (if you want a jersey) but are loose

The helmets too tight/hard to remove from either head, so it's pretty useless. The stick has a neat part that plugs into the hockey puck for action shots.

the oyo head has a notch in the top 'stud' and two ear bumps, but it's hard to photograph that with white on white

The bent arms are pretty shit, and the hands have weird angles. I actually like the legs more than I thought I would? the bendy legs gimmick isn't done that we'll, and it can't sit on 2x2 bricks, buts it's better than the arms

worst part I guess is the price

Yeah, that's already happening. It's called Lego Ideas. Except the difference being is that lego both gives credit and royalties to the original creator of the moc, and only uses their design with their consent. Instead of just stealing it and keeping all the profit.

It's okay anon, I wouldn't expect you to understand, you probably have't got a creative bone in your body. It's something you can only really get if you've ever built something that's worth a damn, and I doubt you have given your attitude towards the issue.
>>
>>6265021

Guys, i think i've encountered a russian autist on bricklink

It's supposed to be my first purchase, and i find a guy that apparently has 16 unopened bags of the right minifigure series, so i order the 16 of him for less than 2$, which is great. If i don't get all figures, it'll still be cheaper than to buy a whole set
So i ask him if he has any other minifigures, we start messaging back and forth, and suddenly he just tells me that the full set of all 16 figures from that series will cost 60$. Not the 2$ it says in my order.
So i tell him i wanted the bags because of the low price, and didn't expect to pay 60$
Then he just tells me "how can i get a full set without opening the bags?" and that i should have included "sealed" in the description

What the fuck do i do now? Is this guy some sort of scamer, or just retarded? Did i make any mistake in not including "sealed"?
>>
>>6265012
anyone?

Also, to avoid future questions like this, has anyone out there compiled a list of all the parts in LDD (especially LDD extended version), preferably with pics? I saw a few old posts on forums from like 2010 and such where people were obviously trying to do it, but all their links were either dead or led to old google docs that were incomplete and out of date...
>>
>>6265032
>>I don't see why it matters
>spend hours and hours perfecting an amazing moc
>only to have some dirty chink come along and steal all of your hard work just so he can turn a profit

Again, you won't understand unless you've ever done the whole "spend hours and hours perfecting an amazing moc" thing. Maybe you'll see what I mean in the off chance you ever accidentally build something worth stealing.

>>6265033

>if you think it doesn't matter you're obviously a pleb who can't do anything
Stop projecting, I've built plenty of decent stuff. I just don't care if someone steals my unique design (TM), after all, why should I?
>>
>>6265057
You should because it's your work and you should get credit for it. Just because you enjoyed doing it doesn't mean it isn't your original creation.

It's the same as art and music. Your medium is Lego bricks. Doesn't make it less legit.
>>
>>6265057
>why should I care that someone other than myself is profiting off of my work without my permission?

I can't argue with this. If you deem your time and effort so utterly worthless that you're indifferent towards people profiting off of it then there's nothing more I can say to you.
>>
>>6265039
Its a grey area, they constantly list the full set of minifigs as cheap prices but then expect you to pay $60 dollars
>>
>>6265060
>You should because it's your work and you should get credit for it. Just because you enjoyed doing it doesn't mean it isn't your original creation.
Well maybe it's a personal opinion thing then. I don't really share my stuff in the first place because I don't care about recongnition or anything. To me, all the enjoyment comes from building it and having it myself. What the outside world does with it is none of my business.
But like I said, you might as well complain about bootlegging in general, since that's exactly the same concept.

>I can't argue with this.

If it didn't have that in the description then you're in the right. Either way look for notes or descriptions on items that are too good to be true

Yeah, i see now in the title it says both "random set of 1 minifigure" and "full set of 16"
I just saw the random part and figured that's what i want. especially since i got the result when i searched for the bags, not the full set.
But the total in my order still came to less than 2$, why should he change things up from what i put into the order? Especially when i could enter as many bags as i wanted, not a full 16.

I even explicitly said i wanted the unopened bags, and that's what i thought he has.

Did i just get tricked by weird wording, or does this guy have both bags, or full set?
>>

No one answered this last time but what do stores do with all the lego products that people open ltake bags from and leave the rest in the box.

I've seen them in clearance isle once but I have a hard time believing they just dump these types of sets in the clearance isle every time.
>>
>>6265245
A lot of stores send it back to the distributor for credit. Or something similar. Some just write it off as a damaged and toss it in a dumpster. You'd need to find the specific store's company policies on damaged products to be sure.
>>
>>6265245
You mean like people who buy a set, take out all the minifigs, and then return it? I've seen them marked down on the shelf a few times with "no figures" written on the price tag, but without knowing how often it happens I couldn't say whether they do it everytime or not. Actually it has been a few years since I saw it. Happened to a Unikitty set once and the helicopter attack set on Tony Stark's house. That last time they only took a few dollars off the set which was a big WTF moment, really the only reason I remember it.

I've worked retail customer service but never asset protection. There is a specific claims department that handles stolen or damaged merchandise where they deal with that but I couldn't tell you what they do with the items and whose decision it is to sell a damaged product or something with missing pieces.
>>
>>6265254
The Walmarts around here tend to have a flat 10% discount policy for opened sets, regardless of what condition the package or contents is in.
>>
>>6265279
If memory serves 10% is the standard discount, it's what a cashier can offer. Anything more will require a Customer Service Manager or higher. And naturally once management is involved it's a crapshoot what will happen. Some will offer something reasonable, others will refuse to budge.

Surprisingly they made well. And a very good choice to introduce yourself to Lego dinosaurs because they were so damn cheap.
This is ridiculous. ALL OF THEM cost less than even ONE lego dinosaur.
Even one lego raptor costs more than all of these.

I honestly wasnt sure about lego dinos - they were kind of too blocky and expensive to me. But after having these i might buy one Brown Raptor from Lego. Raptors are much better in person than on videos!

Also i actually like how small T-rex, Indominus and Triceratops are...thats kind of cute and they fit to minifigures better than bigger ones.

Still want big Trex and Triceratops though.

It all depends how you build really.
I have a huge under bed container that has black/grey/brown bricks as I am catsle builder and I found out that I build easier this way.
I keep hinges, weapons, accesories, figures and specialized briks in different containers though. And gold items. Gold looks so nice if it's stored in one ziplock bag

It's also good to have a small bucket of random bricks - it helps creativity start.

In my defense it was less about the pun but more a hint at what she'd become, though I didn't spell that out. She's going to knight school too, same grade as Robin, but she doesn't have the family crest or armor. We know through Macy and her mother that female knights are treated no differently (unless you're literally daddy's little princess). I wouldn't even say it's because she's knightly tech support since that's Robin's thing too. Or being from a lowly background. Robin is the janitor's son!

So yeah she seems destined for the path of the science wizard (okay okay the name tipped me off), which makes me wonder if they have plans for Merloc ever fully biting it (one defrag too many/deleted to make room for more of Lance's selfies/overwritten with jester porn) and her taking over.

It's Scooby-Doo so I'd argue it would pay for itself on nostalgia alone. I know that's why I as an older collector personally bought the whole gang. Finally got the parts to finish my black turtle drone. The black 3x3 dish didn't quite look right, failing to stand out very well against the ring (might need to try a silver ring instead). The minigun looks a lot better after adding the ammo drum to the back. It gives the gun a better profile and serves as a nice counterbalance.

I have ideas for more of these little things but I don't have any more gold heads in my bins and need to order some.

He means that if it had been assembled IRL from the beginning, those physics flaws would have been evident.

The big weakness of using LDD to design models is that it doesn't accurately portray how gravity can fuck you up because of weak connections. When you build from scratch IRL, you don't run into this problem.

When the park set came out I didn't want everything so I used Lego's Bricks and Pieces. I seriously doubt you can get the dolphin, larger unique pieces like that typically aren't available (unless you're one of those people who claim the piece was missing). If the beach set is like the park one, which even had the wheelchair available for individual purchase, you should be able to get the minifig parts, and multiples too which you won't get if you buy the full set.

And of course as time passes from the set being released more will show up on Bricklink.

At Wal-Mart damaged or burgled property (if any of it remains) is taken to the claims department where it is assessed and they attempt to receive any credit they can from the manufacturer. They may send it back, leave it in a bin until who knows what happens to it, or attempt to sell it to recoup whatever they can from whatever is remaining in the set, such as if the minifigs are stolen.

Now you can go to customer service and ask to see a member of management asking if they have any damaged or otherwise incomplete sets you would be happy to buy as a markdown. I've heard some people do this and then part them out for resale, but that info was "a friend of a friend whose cousin blah blah blah". Still, couldn't hurt to try. The worst they can do is say no.

WojtuÅ› is a Polish name - from Wojtek
It's the character I have created to interact with kids on Lego workshops I do.
Kids love it because they never know what will happen next,

WojtuÅ› is also a race of creatures.
If you want to make your own you need that face (or any 1x2 brick face). Tthe name of your Wojtus needs to start on W (or V), and it needs to corespond to ONE POWER your WojtuÅ› has.
Example:
Voyage (Written Włajaż) - Wojtuś uncle that only passion is to travel and to see ALL THE THINGS
Wojenka (Litteraly Miss War) - The mistress of all martial arts.

The world you're living in. Certain airlines are provided exclusive sets that they sell in-flight. It's been a thing since 1976.

I like how they're similar enough to tell they're a team, but not literal palette swaps
>>
>>6267351
They've never been total palette swaps though. The ninja all have their own personal symbols, so even on the sameyest outfits they've been different. Other outfits also give them differing armor prints.

Also where's Cole?

It wouldn't be PC to have Black Ninja so they retconned him out
