I've seen them discuss Frame Arms Girls and a few other jointed series but they prefer to have the stronger qualities of a statue (paint and sculpt) versus something broken up by joints like a figma (or figma has a bad reputation amongst some anon's there). At the same time I would imagine it's who you encounter there at the time that would flare up if you even mention anything with joints.

This. I'm expecting a figma of Link Botw version next summer Wonfes to coincide with the newly released game since MaxFac/GSC tends to cash in on what's new most of the time.

There are some exceptions()future Boy Conan, Sherlock Holmes, Utena, etc) but I guess it'll depend if there is a lot of fan demand then they can make as long as they know it'll sell.

Ok so looks like full context is very important here. He said that due some contradicting information between the Fate/Stay and Fate/Zero, that one should think of what was depicted in Fate/Zero as similar to an alternate route in Fate/Stay.

They are parrallel worlds with slights differences between them, but the 4th grail war in the Fate/Stay world for the most part played out the same way as it did in Fate/Zero.

You know those recent Iron Man Figma that everyone was shitting on? I got the Mark 42 (thankfully since it has better paint) and I actually found myself enjoying it more than Saitama. It's really that bad, and I don't say that lightly as someone who's usually forgiving towards a lot of Figma's shortcomings and jacking of prices.

I bought it to support the property so maybe we can at least one or two more figures out of it (Genos, Tatsumaki, maybe even Garou for next season?) and yet it's downright disappointing how they monumentally fucked up the main character. Any reviewer you've seen even remotely praising it either has complete shit taste in figures or are deluding themselves because of the hype surrounding the character.

Even if he sold amazingly that shit wasn't going to happen. You can tell they don't want anything to do with the IP by how they treated the figma. The lack of all the fun/goofy accessories, the piss poor serious face, the lack of faces in general, etc.

When they care about a license they put in more than a bare bones effort. They either include lots of accessories or cutting edge tech or both. Saitama doesn't even have modern knees. His tumor knees are among the worst in the line and there is NO REASON they should be that bad. They've been releasing stuff for a solid 1-2 years with really well implemented knees that no longer look like giant bulbous tumors.

I have the revo and my only gripe is the modern duel disc and card accessories he uses/comes with. I guess in the movie they are based on all the cards are digital or glass so they are clear blue. It kind of looks like they based it more on the proportions of the statue, which also isn't as lanky as the ingame models.

Overall I'm not mad at it though. It looks good enough for my tastes, and honestly, when I'm playing I often forget how freakishly tall and thin BB characters are anyway. I get a little shock every time I turn around to face the camera and realize my protag is like seven feet tall and weighs 80 pounds.

Normally I would have just saved all my pennies and bought the RAH in a case like this, but the thing is, I don't even think it looks that good. And if I'm shelling out crazy aftermarket prices, I want it to be perfect, yknow? I think they made her too tall/leggy and busty, when she's in her school uniform she actually has quite a short and petite figure. I think this was probably a result of using a standardized 1/6 body, and I think it's something that MF probably would have gotten right since they were sculpting from scratch.

1. Re-releases with huge aftermarket prices are guaranteed sales, very minimal risk.
2. Prices are going way way up and sales are going way way down. These re-releases are more affordable due to no new tooling needed even if the prices did go up slightly.
3. Flavor of the month/niche stuff is no longer profitable since most people won't buy it at 8,000 yen a figure.
Fact of the matter is if Ryuko was a brand new figure she would cost probably 7,000-8,000 yen. Instead she is going to be about 5,400 yen, up from 4,444 yen. It's a genius way to get more sales and profit off old molds because they are at a drastically lower price point.

That guy was a moron. The only one who did anything resembling shelfwarming was Satsuki and that was because her price hike AND the fact she came out like a solid year too late after all the hype had died AND because she had a bullshit webshop exclusive which almost always kills retail sales.

Ryuko may not have sold out instantly day one but she sold well and her price went up fairly quick while Satsuki was available forever for retail.

She's a fine figma and after getting over my intial fears with the soft plastic straps she's pretty posable. It just bites you need Satsuki to complete the big scissor blade.

Show was great, watch it. Figure is...I dunno? Only two figmas I own are her and Satsuki. I wish they both had better chest bending ability. They should've put the ball joint on the inside on a hinge so they could've bent over or something. Maybe I'm just too used to Revo figures which have insane crunching abilities at the chest/midsection usually.

Also the thigh swivels on my Ryuko are horrendously tight, anyone got any idea how to loosen them?
