The line still has a few problems with quality control, like loose ball joints, and Weirdwolf has a breakage issue (either out of the box, or transforming him incorrectly).

I have both Arcees and other than the lipstick on the Takara version, the Hasbro one is superior.

He's one of my favorites and short of the MP is probably my favorite Wheeljack. And I've never had a problem with his arm windows.

I keep him around in lieu of a proper IDW/Cybertronian WJ and if you keep his shoulders folded up it helps with his gorilla-esque proportions, which are my only real complaint with him, but it is show-accurate.

He doesn't have lower arm/elbow swivel, but the joints on his shoulders basically make up for it, so he can still move his arms in front of him.

I think it's just that Ft Max is a high profit margin (since the bulk of the design was made from Metroplex, thus development costs were way down) so they could afford to scale the price up, knowing that when places put them on sale, it would translate into profit margins similar to Metroplex still.
There's a reason retools are so popular. Even PMOP being a retool of UM is still a great way to reduce costs.
Even though PMOP costs more than UM, and is basically a retool, I can still guarantee that it sold better.

Trypticon has the added bonus of being "giant robot dinosaur" so it might sell even to kids that aren't big transformers fans, but are big dinosaur fans.
Also, the movies having the dinobots in them helps.

Anyone has experiences with Human Alliance KOs? It's ridiculous that you can still find Alternators for reasonable prices, while HA is pretty much a KO or scalped to 5 times its actual worth.

The reviews I've found only mention looseness, which seems like such a non-issue when you're getting it for so much cheaper and Futureshine is a thing. I'm more concerned if there's a significant in the sturdiness of the plastic they use.

The Bumbleebee HA toy is pretty much identical to the official ones as far as I can tell

Jazz has some molding errors on the hood and Barricade has off-center tampos that are white instead of the proper bright grey.

Not terrible familiar with the other HAs because I didn't care much for characters beyond the first movie.

Tolerances and joint tightness are pretty much a complete luck of the draw though for any of the KOs.
