I've not done it myself, but if you run it under hot water for a while it should come right off. The beard and the rest of the head are two pieces and I've seen pics of them being pulled apart so you don't have to worry about breaking it.

That said, even if it did break, it's not a joint or anything so you could always glue it back in place.

Worst case scenario is that the older ball joints are too big to fit newer heads. In that case, you could always make a new neck joint as the wave 1 armored body neck piece pops right off. I know there was a guy on the 4H Forums who cast and sold Neck peg adapters that let you pop MotUC heads onto a ML body, and all you needed was a new neck piece with a slightly smaller ball.

On sourcehorsemen, the logo was getting more cracked in each of the last two Herra posts.

My guess: new bad guys, demonic and/or undead. Since only the elves are affected so far and decay fits with the theme of nature, I'm also guessing that we will see variants of every regular elf, what we have now and the corrupted version.

The elf news was actually pretty big because it made the builder a whole lot more valuable (no other builder has three heads) and revealed they are in fact making a highly requested traditional elf ranger figure with two different heads, one of which will see reuse on another figure. Poorly designed and detailed, what KS are you looking at? The viking chick is pretty awesome, the fairy chick we knew was coming for months and didn't disappoint, the voodoo queen has some absurd detailing in that massive head of hers and the two troop builders are simple but cool and both come with alt heads. One thing I noticed was that you can actually see a center ab line which makes me feel a little better about that mid section sculpt. A little more definition wouldn't be bad though.

I don't often think with my dick buy toys, but I'm awful tempted by this tribal brown girl with pouty lips. That hair's a bit unwieldy though. She'd look good with the Gothitropolis Quetzalcoatl though, which may influence my decision. Or as a snake goddess for my Cobra-la troops.

What's up with the blind rabid fanboyism in these 4H threads?

Look at any other threads, people can spout their opinions on Hasbro (easy target), Mattel, Kaiyodo, SH. Figuarts, GSC etc freely without 1-2 autists trying to shout them down. Even in NECA threads NECAnon is not as aggressive as some rabid fanboys here.

The 4H is running a six figure kickstarter campaign, and this is like their 3rd time doing so. What's their excuse to have stretch goals broken, but nothing to reveal? They have all the time in the world to do so, not even a concept art to show.

That's not even how stretch goals supposed to work btw, as you supposed to lay out the stretch goals in the beginning, and maybe if the backers blew through all the stretch goals you reveal some more as an incentive. Here we're shooting in the dark, and even after we blew past the mark nothing got revealed because they're not ready

They could've had some regular knights as legion builder, or variation thereof like the cave dwarves as I imagine the previous knight legion builder were their best selling items but unfortunately they didn't have it. They didn't even have the gender neutral torso on the knight builder figure

Yeah but he had artwork laid down way beforehand so people know what they're gonna unlock next. Beyond that he had sketches, and plan for which body part go where plus some random picture of a bird as color scheme. We understand sculpting and painting prototypes are hard work, but at least they can reveal which part and the concept art/color

It's a bit ridiculous that in less the 24 hours, this KS not only was fully funded, but had DOUBLE it's funding and blew through every single listed Stretch goal and then numerous reveals after. Find me another KS that went fully funded and went through five stretch goals in the first day and then come back to talk about how things are "supposed to work".

There's literally three weeks left of this, and we're already reaching the same amount of figures the first one had. Counting the two unrevealed stretch goals, the FanEx and KS Exclusive figures, that leaves one more figure until they've reached the same amount of figures. No one could have been prepared for just how awesome this KS has done.

In hand the gold looks basically the same as the other gold paint in the line, as far as I can tell. the cloak torso/loincloth are a dark blue/green, turquoise shade. The black (guy) knight's cloak stuff is straight up blue. Variety is good.

This isn't just some last minute, thrown together concept piece. This is something they were planning from the start and have kept an exceptionally tight lid on. This isn't just some random skeleton, this is one of the three sons of Necronominus himself, and from what I can see, he looks totally metal.

The head is certainly new, but it's possible the skirt piece is new as well, which would be a fantastic touch.

If the joint feels too tight, a little hot water (just run hot water from the tap and hold the joint under it for a bit) would be more then enough to loosen it up. I set my initial budget at 300....I'm nearing 400 and seeing how much more wiggle room I can find. Last time around I waited to buy figures and ended up grabbing a few with every sale. But that cost me far more in the long run with raised prices and extra shipping. This time I'm hoping to be completely satisfied with my purchase right from the KS so I won't have to buy in to those secondary sales.

The best way I know of is to buy some pieces cast buy a guy on the 4H forums. He made a shield adapter piece that replaces the clip with a straight up handle that also has a large peg that fits in the slot on the figure's backs.

With wave 2 that won't be a problem since shields will have clips AND handles, but for older figures, buying/making a new handle seems to be your best option.

Looks good so far, my suggestion is to find some leather lacing at a craft store for the belts and straps. They're easy to work with and can look a lot better then the stock straps.

And yes, the Deluxe Knight set is female. The only male torso is the one with the round emblem on it's chest and it is not compatible with the female hips/waist piece. But the Knight Builder comes with two female torsos, the basic armored one and the female tabbard set.

I'm still trying to put together something of my own. My attempts at fabricating a shoulder strap were a failure, but at least I found that Van Helsing figure for the belt.

At this point I'm not sure who is trolling who in the game of stretch goals: the 4H for being behind schedule with the prototypes and spacing the goals, the fans for reaching them fast anyways, or the 4H again for not showing good pictures even after the mandibulus goal has been unlocked.

Wide stance is no problem. The hip can do full split and it has ankle rocker with ball joints.

The only problems are single jointed knee and elbow. Depends on the figure but the knee articulation is about 90 degrees, while the elbow articulation for the knights/naked body are less than 90 degrees; elbow articulation for the skeleton are about 90 degrees.

Also there's no ab crunch, the waist is on ball joint and it doesn't go that low back/fw

Neck is on a large ball joint, skull heads, smaller helmets and the like get great range of motion, things with longer chins, beards, horns, whatever still have fantastic range, but run the risk of rubbing against things.

On the armored and cloth torsos the neck is actually pegged in and can swivel, helpful for skeletons with their bone necks. Bare body had neck molded to body. Take care when swapping heads on these as there were many cases of the ball joint actually popping off.

Waist is another big ball joint, lots of forward, back, side to side, swivel etc. Belt doesn't hinder articulation at all as they're all soft rubbery plastic. When left sitting, or bending said plastic it may warp but it's easy to fix and usually retains it's shape. Case in point, the loin armor on the silver viking was warped as I had the figure sitting on a horse for a long time. But it's barely bend not and almost unnoticeable (it used to point up).

Hips are absurd, swivel hinged with no hindrance of any kind. Can go full splits, forward, back and the armor just gets out the way. Knights and bare legs have thigh swivels, skeletons do not. Of note with the hips however is that they're prone to getting loose over time. Many of my figures have fairly loose hips, though not to the point of falling over. But others have reported that to be an issue. All have boot swivels just under the knee and a single hinge knee with 90 degree bend.

Ankles are equally as awesome with a huge dual swivel ball hinge joints. Not the prettiest joint in the world, but damn flexible. Even while doing a full split these guys can stay flat footed.

Their great articulation from the waist down gives them a lot of flexibility to work with. Between the awesome hips and the waist ball joint, sitting, kneeling and even an approximate crossed leg pose are possible. They also fit very naturally on mounts.

If you want to buy more figures they are cheaper than the first. You check their prices in the Add-on list (this is the $50 price for the deluxe knight builder including shipping to the US that you see). In order to buy several figures you have to modify the amount of your initial pledge to pay in excess and once the campaign ends they will contact you to see what you want to buy with that excess money.

For example, if you wanted two deluxe knight builders shipped to the US you'd have to manually pledge $110 for one unit. At the end of the campaign you'd be contacted and you'd say you wanted a second one for the excess $50 you paid.

The arms are where things start to go a little south. They all have swivel hinge shoulders, which work great. Without pauldrons, the arms can go all the way out and can spin in pretty much all directions. However, the armored torsos have a molded shoulder plate which causes their arms to bow out a bit when posed straight up.

Likewise, the bulky barrel chests prevent them from being able to bring their arms too far inward, making double handing swords difficult to impossible. Skeletons get around this by having slender biceps, which give them much more leeway in terms of articulation.

The elbows also suffer a bit from the design of the sculpt. The Skeletons once again get the best range with a full-to-almost-better then 90 degree bend, but the knight arms have a soft rubber elbow piece that hinders their joint. It is removable, but then it leaves a little gap in the arm and doesn't look that great. The bare arms however just have those giant muscles which screw everything up. They are however single hinge swivel elbows, which theoretically would be fantastic, but with the issues mentioned above things fall short of what they could be.

There is also a glove swivel and a hand swivel hinge, which work ok together, but once again run into issues. The hinge on the hand is a simple in out hinge...which does not work very well for sword and spear users. It's something that really should've been avoided as a up down or even dual swivel ball hinge would have been FAR more useful.

Despite all these problems with the arms, these guys can still pull of some awesome poses, but the limitations are very front and center.

I think they did fill in some gaps with some shit they put together really quick, the horsemen are pretty good about giving a lot since the stretch goals are mostly repaints and small things being tooled to create some new figures.

...dude, the 4H are one of the most fan responsive toy companies I have ever seen. People complained about the black elf dude, so they gave him three heads. People complained about shield clips, so now all shields come with clips AND handles. People complained about Tibius being boring, so they added an alt head, cape and more paint. People begged for a templar they can troop build so they made a Templar Legion builder. People complained about the bearded head losing the FanEx vote and wanting a Death Dealer figure added into the line, so they made the Barbarian Builder set.

If there's enough complaints, the 4H WILL change things. But changing an entire torso construction that's used on seven different figures and counting is something that will require a major overhaul.

Just so I'm clear, I'm not disagreeing with you about the female arms/abdomens needing a bit more definition, I'm just disagreeing with you claiming the 4H ignore their fanbase.

Rest easy though as these guys will be available again, the 4H may not mass produce these figures, but they do try hard to get as many made as there is fan demand. I would suggest pledging $1 just to get on the mailing list as once you're in you'll get all the updates for everything they ever do.

How did BBTS get the figures anyway? Did BBTS backed the original KS for several thousands of dollars for like 20 cases of each characters? Did that show up on the backer list? If BBTS donation count as backer donation then that's like 20-30k at least from BBTS alone, which should count for a whole stretch goal.

All the ones I want have armor parts I already have. I know I'm definately getting the ghost man.

Don't know who else... Onion head stands out but I'm not too committed to that color scheme. New big bad skeleton looks cool but I already have Malleus. Boarrior is nice but I already have recolors of that armor twice over... Not terrifically interested in elves or women though.

Are there gonna be any more demon people?
