The kenner batman figures were about 5 inches tall, maybe 4? So he might fit, but he'll look a little oversized.

I haven't actually tried it to say 100% for certain because I have not owned both at the same time, but as someone who used to have the Batmobile and now has that Batman, I don't think he could possibly fit. He's way bigger than the figures it was made for and I don't remember there being a bunch of extra legroom or anything like that.
