Thread Challenge:
>mini 1 seater space skimmer
When I asked when some newfag was going to create a new thread when there's a perfectly good one only on page 4, it wasn't meant as a challenge or invitation.
space skimmers like

Here you go Wojtus~
>>6146218
I was going to wait until this thread hit 300 replies before making a new one, but now I'll have to make it at 299 thanks to you!
I'm posting this 'cause I just got it.
>>6146110
Challenge!!
>>6146271
Love those parts
>>6146278
i don't know if you noticed, but someone stole your head
>>6146271
I recently completed the Batman CMF line.
So why do I feel so empty inside?
>>6146308
Because you collected them cause of collecting them? Not because you liked them?
>>6146308
because you haven't started making custom bats yet?
>>6146328
Not the same anon, but how would yall go about building a Batman closest to the suit in The Animated Series?
>>6146307
Im sad
>>6146308
I just wanted the regular cmf line but it seemed to disappear as soon as it came in. I'll never get Mariachi and dog show guy. AND ITS ALL BATMANS FAULT
>>6146348
>tfw didn't find babysitter in time
>>6146348
Dog Show Guy was the only one I managed to get. There was only one bag left and a lot of Batmans.
Fuck you Batman, you took them off the shelf.
>>6146308
because it was easier this time around and because over 1/4 of it was just batman?
anyone know if the classic color sets (blue, orange, green, red) have a release date set for murrika?
brickset doesnt say anything, and theres a few bricklink stores that sell them at alright prices. id might keep from waiting if theres not even a may release stated
>New Jungle exploration subtheme
>No Johnny Thunder
>>6146389
Johnny Thunder Promo polybag when?
>>6146367
What are classic color sets?
>>6146393
>its a sequel and his get his great granddaughter instead
>>6146442
They are small boxes of mostly one color parts. They are new for 2017. Pic related
>>6146331
The Grey body and legs from the blue/grey Bats.
Any black cowl and crotch from any other applicable Bats
Black cape on outside, blue cape on inside? If you want.
>>6146445
Wait. So that crocodile I have been seeing for months isn't even out yet?! When do I get muh white, black, tan, and grey buckets?!
>>6146450
It isn't out in the USA. Maybe Canidaland and Mexico?
>>6146450
>white, black, tan, and grey buckets
Star Wars sets are March 1st
>>6146454
I was going to make that joke, but it was too easy.
>>6146449
I'm so angry that the Zurr en Ar or whatever Batman face is exclusive. It would be great for Batfleck and his 5 o clock shadow.
>>6146476
>I'm so angry that the Zurr en Ar or whatever Batman face is exclusive. It would be great for Batfleck and his 5 o clock shadow.
>>6146483
thats not the same tone of flesh
though you could just get any stubbled face and paint it white in the eyes
>>6146110
>>mini 1 seater space skimmer
>>6146476
I'm mad that it's exclusive because I'm trying to collect all the different batsuits
>>6146354
They were out for several months. It's your fault for waiting so long.
>>6146506
They're still out everywhere around me. S14, Disney, S16
No Batmans though. Apparently they arrived but the stores all broke protocol and put them out before Christmas and haven't restocked since.
>>6146449
I swear I'm almost sick of Bats at this point, literally the most over represented comicbook character in general...Spidey is a close contender though
>>6146497
Batfleck doesn't even have the blank eyes anyway. And to my knowledge, no head has eyes that are located where the Batman cowl piece eyeholes are.
>>6146348
How bad do you want Dog Show Guy? I'm not that attached to mine. Want to trade?
>>6146544
I never traded on the internet before. I don't know what to trade with either. I'm going to check the Walgreens first.
Speaking of trades, I have an extra CMF Pink Batgirl, if anyone wants to trade for either a Rubber Ducky Batman or March Harriet.

ask about sections of it in this thread. no one will reverse engineer the whole thing for you, but we can id parts and build sections.
Drank too much coffee playing overwatch tonight and ended up using the hour and inspiration to make a tanky mech for My Red Galaxy Squad hero. Originally had a drill arm with the cannon but this old sword has been in my spares for a Long time and it needed some time to shine!
Also was originally canopy less but that backwards windscreen fit perfectly!!!
Got some energy mortors on its back and a Flick missile firebomb. Also a handy spot for Bill to put his Lipstick/rocket launcher!
Also some nice 2x2 booster reverse tiles are becoming a signature on all my mechs almost!
All I want is the Calculator for his white armor, the rabbit girl and maybe 1-2 others. fuck blind bags, I'll bricklink them eventually.
Got a mech for every team member apart from Blue now! Hes the only member who hasnt had a Custom spaceship or Mech,so its high time he should get one, probably when I eventually find/salvage some more white pieces from somewhere and find some aqua blue!
>>6146445
I so want the set just for Mr Cheeky.
>>6146645
Yea, me too...
Latest purchase, something away from big-name licensed sets before I buy an expensive licensed set

Here's my entry for the thread challenge. Getting back into MOCs is super fun, so thanks for that.
Again, most of my free pieces are from the 80s and 90s so that is what's going on here. Let me know if you want to see any other angles.
>>6146710
I think it looks cool staring right at you.
architecture could be such a cool series but it isn't
>>6146716
they made this one again
>>6146710
Looks great. bonus points for M-Tron <3
>>6146716
For real
I'd kill for some actual architecture sets at minifig or near scale instead of tiny sets that kind of look like buildings
>>6146710
Love it, the Lego of my time was that short span with last Futuron/Blacktron/M-Tron/Space Police.
Pic: not really a challenge entry but an old build of mine that will fit the theme.
>>6146725
I love that. Do you have a pic with a minifig inside? And I got my start when it was M-Tron, Futuron, Blacktron 2, Space Police, and Blacktron 1 left in the SP and minifig sets. I think I dropped off after Exploriens and came back at Alien Conquest.
>>6146723
>minifig scale architecture sets
You mean like an Empire State Building set that's taller than your house?
>>6146591
That's cool. I could sell it to you if you'd rather. Retail price + shipping. Don't mind being a bro.
>>6146718
Oh hey, so they did.
>>6146730
>Do you have a pic with a minifig inside?
No, this is the only other pic I have. I made it six or seven years ago. I'm fairly sure I fit a minifig inside it, though.
>>6142939
>That genuinely made me sad.
>[loltoyspoiler]I need you to post a pic of him being released so I don't autistically worry about the yellow toy's future. I want him to be ok. Yes I know how insane that sounds. [/loltoyspoiler]
TO BE CONTINUED
>>6146740
I still love it. Everything looks great and now I want to get better.
Also I want to steal that fucking manta ray.
>>6146444
Why use trips for such ill omens?
How do I filter out stores from BrickLink searches? The new Wanted List wizard is nice, but I want to filter a particular store that has like a $80 minimum buy.
Lego will never come out with a Zsasz minifigure but Mutant Leaders torso will do just fine
I went to 5 walgreens all with the old CMFs behind the batmans. Ended up with the goth guy and the Indian dude. The goth guy kind of grew on me though.
>>6146263
Saved! Thank you!
>>6146625
What a lovely unique design!
>>6146648
The Friends pizzeria set is better for price.
>>6146749
NOOOO the suspens is killing me!
Purist comic book minifigs. I posted a lot of these before, but I've made a few tweaks, and didn't bother photographing most figures that have since gotten official minifigs, with the exception of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, because I think mine are better.
I'm not super thrilled with Jean Grey's non-Phoenix figure, but it's hard to do any of her costumes while still keeping it purist.
Also, obviously Casey Jones is neither DC nor Marvel, but I figured I'd include him anyway.
>>6146905
>no dog welder
>>6146908
Not him but FUCK I should have gotten the cmf welder
>>6146749
HOLY FUCK THIS IS THE BEST!
I had no idea this is happening.
>>6146749
haha i like that generic cliche - when you go to prison there is always big moustached prisoner that will fuck you in the ass :D
>>6146749
Great work. Love it.
Decided to make that crowman into a main villain. He's too lazy and coward to go for a dangerous quest for treasure so he prefers follow SkyPirates everywhere on his robotic crow and steal stuff they got.
>>6146947
Well done, sir.
What's the general consensus on the 2015 Pirates line?
>>6146974
i want to buy tons of lego money and make a treasure room where he keeps it all and swims in it.
(i actually make him greedy because irl crows and magpies like to steal shiny looking things but whatever kek)
>>6146975
Nice sets, but the ship is too similar to the last one.
Bluecoats look great. A bit expensive for what you get. Pirates is always nice tough.
>>6146975
It's a shame there wasn't really any army builders in that line. Also, the bluecoats should have gotten their own ship. A second line could have been great.
>>6146978
Just roll with it. His crowman nature and Jewish ancestry combine to make him four times as greedy.
>>6146749
So who gonna fuck the cop?
This is how porno scenes start.
And i like the telling. Reminds me kinda of old lego foto stories.
IMO the old Lego star wars designs are way better than the new ones
>>6146991
Minifigs or sets? Because if you're talking sets, and by "old" you mean the first wave of Star Wars sets, you're laughably, patently wrong.
>>6146905
They are reallly good.
Did you made the prints by yourself? Some are not lego prints?
>>6146975
>we will never get a Pirate Series in my lifetime because Disney's PoC will eat future lines and i possibly will kill myself within 2-3 years
sigh...
>>6146999
They're purist figs, so they're all official LEGO prints, I just swapped the arms out. Squirrel Girl's torso was a bit of a happy accident. It's from the Bigfoot CMF, but the printing has worn off because whoever owned it before me must have removed the head part repeatedly and rubbed it off.
>>6146948
That claw is a great idea. He just swoops in and snatches up unattended treasure. Good stuff!
>>6146991
I am not really too big of a fan of how overly detailed the SW minifigure designs have gotten recently. It just does not look good.
>>6146975
Great figures, medicore sets, weakest ship, .
>>6146991
I do agree - And this shit started with 3CPO head being molded instead a normal minifig head.
>>6147059
>medicore
/mu/ pls
>>6147069
What he means to say is... MEDIOCRE
>>6147005
Bigfoot CMF doesn't have any printing. It's a plain brown torso.
>>6146731
Or near scaled
More like the Taj Mahal set. They can be more expensive sets, it's not like kids are the target audience
>>6146975
Great. I loved it. They definitely could have done more with a second wave though. Wish I had more money to have gotten more of the sets at the time though. I always preferred the bluecoats to the redcoats.
>>6146749
Chen/10 I want to see more of that Space Police building!
>>6146788
You can filter it by minimum buy
I don't know if it's an all or nothing thing, but it's there
>>6147005
Isn't that the body of the minotaur cmf, not the bigfoot one?
>>6147062
But c3po has never had a normal minifig head?
How is it a sign that older star wars minifigs are beeter?
>>6147142
I think they're saying that the choice to make 3P0's head molded rather than printed was the first in a long line of mistakes.
Just like the decision that generic yellow minifigs were now specifically representative of Caucasian actors and Lando's minifig needed to be brown for some reason.
>>6146498
Nice. It has a very old school vibe even though it uses a lot of newer pieces/colors.
>>6147151
yes this is what I ment.
I really don't understand Lego design choices.
If they want to make every not human head molded, why we still getting that alien guard from Skiff without molded head/ propper hair mold?
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-38729557
Of fuck, that was a bad video for Lego.
>>6147140
Looks like it, minus the ab printing.
>>6147209
Not that I wouldn't believe a large news network, but they very easily could have show us proof that one was real and one was fake. Still doesn't look good for china boss. As a side note, why is the test of the article so lacking?
>have 9 million things on my BL wanted list, but no money
>now I have some money to spend, but I can't decide what to get
This is killing me. There's always something I want, but now I just don't know. Maybe I'll finally pull the trigger and get TIE Crawler, one of the Aquasharks or the last Slizer I'm still missing, Millennium.
But then again, I have a pile of CCBS parts to get for Bonkle Makuta combiner, but that's whole nother story

I still find it a bit funny that TLBM is the first time we got DC sets that didn't feature Batman.
Okay, he wasn't in every single polybag, and there was some sets based strictly on Superman, but other than those, every single DC Super Heroes set has a Batman minifig

I could've sworn that set was available like, late last year.
So guys, Steampunk is a strange genre. It's pretty underused in the industry (there aren't that many mainstream films, shows, games or toys with the aesthetic) but it has a crazy following that makes it obnoxious and lame.
That having said, from what we've seen from LEGO (Metalbeard's Sea Cow, Ninjago sky pirates, Mixels) it seems that they make good stuff from it. Do you think a dedicated Steampunk theme would be good? Would it do well?
>>6147476
uhhh..no. Im a big fan of Galidor
>>6147310
>big Technic-pin hoops are back

I want it. It reminds me of Sneaker Stadium. How can you beat an athletic shoe store with an indoor basketball court, a track, and various other sports activities?
>>6147485
I would like to see one. I know nothing about the fans, but as an aesthetic? It's great.
It would probably have some sort of treasure-hunting theme to it.
>>6147485
No
Its fine as a part of other things but it really can't hold a whole world on it
>>6147485
>Ninjago sky pirates, Mixels
NOT A STEAMPUNK holy shit.
Dude. It's a dieselpunk. Im a sort of designer and my favorite genre is a Dieselpunk and i very sensitive about this subject because im such a dorky faggot every when its time to talk about these 2 genres.
Even more - Ninjago Sky Pirates is a bright and fresh example of a DIESELPUNK genre.
I have no idea why you even thought that its a steampunk.
Seriously - why?
Is it a steam powered? NO
Is it a bunch of "clockwork-mechanisms"? NO
SkyPirates is basically a bunch of World War 2 pilots sent into some kind of techno-fantasy.
Which means its a dieselpunk.
Also obviously part of inspiration from Talespin series - one of the brightest Dieselpunk-inspired cartoon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GND73sy9zHo
To answer the question "what is a dieselpunk and what is a steampunk" - ask yourself - what people use as a power in that world?
1) If they use Steam and Clockwork mechanisms - its a steampunk.
2) If they use fuel and electricity - its a Dieselpunk
Also these both genres often mixed with a sub-genre "Techno-Fantasy".
Both-ninjago and nexo knights are Techno-fantasy.
A medieval aestetics added to semi-modern or even futuristic designs.
PS:
S-sorry i said im a huge diesel-fag
>>6147485
As a dedicated theme, eh.
I could see one wave, even a whole year of Nexo Knights having it as a subtheme tough.
Do minidoll leg/torso parts connect to anything else other than other minidoll parts? (besides the hair pieces
>>6147506

>>6147510
>Nexo Knights having it as a subtheme tough.
>nexo knights
>STEAM PUNK
>literally a world where people use internet, energy shields, robo-mechs, flat screen TVs.
>steampunk
Yeah no.
>>6147513
The neck is a regular bar size, so anything with a clip or open stud can connect to it. The hip part on both is a weird oval shape, so I doubt that it will connect to much.
>>6147515
Still better than being a retard who sees a cat and calls it a bird.
>>6147525
Fuck birds!
>>6147506
To some people retrofuturism of any kind = steampunk.
I feel you man.
>>6147525
Have you even built a duck?
>>6147528
I hate birds and cats equally.
>>6147525
lego is made of little bricks. while I would usually agree with you there is very little say in whether a little plane with a ship's steering wheel for a propeller is steampunk or dieselpunk mate
>>6147506
How many of these _____punk wannabe genres are there anyway?
I honestly dont understand this "steampunk" thing where people give this term to some random things.
What they even have in mind when they do that?
I guess it all started when normies found that when you mix "Old and NEW" you get steampunk and then everybody thought that this is a correct explanation?
Steampunk is heavily based on steam-powered engines and gears.
They usually everywhere - especially big pipes with steam coming out.
Ninjago and Nexo Knights is a hi-tech world where people ride robots that look like medieval warriors.
Ninjas building mechs that shoot lasers and ride baggy that shoots rockets.
Knights watching TV-new on flat screen and ride transforming Mechs that represent medieval aestetics.
There is literally nothing that says "steampunk"
>>6147536
Steampunk
Cyberpunk
Cardboard Boxpunk
Retro-Retrofuturism
Modernpunk
Patriotpunk
Plasticpunk
Daft Punk
Dieselpunk
60s Spytech
Cavemanpunk
>>6147538
Nobody called Nexo Knights steampunk, dingbat, they called the Ninjago Sky Pirates arc Steampunk.
Which is technically wrong, but only going by the set Misfortune's Keep. There's really not enough unified detail on the other sets to suggest otherwise; I would have called it Steampunk looking at the Raid Zeppelin but Dieselpunk going by the Sky Shark.
>>6147539
You forgot Decopunk and Dieselpunk.
>>6147542
and YOU forgot Van Goghpunk
>>6147543
AND YOU FORGOT MY BIRTHDAY.
I HATE YOU DAD!
>>6147536
You can pretty much make up one right now on the spot. Aesthetics are difficult.
>>6147536
>How many of these _____punk wannabe genres are there anyway?
A lot of them. I like the "--punk" genres.
Here are some super unique:
1) Historypunk:
when people mix accurate historical details with current modern days details. Hard to explain but here is an example:
- In a disney's cartoon Hercules there is an Ancient Greece BUT at the same time their Athens look and act like a New York.
Also there is a School that is an average 90s American school.
- in a disney cartoon Aladdin, Genie uses lots of modern (90s at that moment) gadgets like Phone or tv-show references despite its a medieval Agrabah.
2)
(this is one of my favorites)
STONEPUNK - it's basically when our modern era with its details and gadgets mixed with Prehistoric stuff.
Flinstones, games like Dino City or Joe and Mac where cavemen play Casino and ride Dinosaurs.
People got pissed off saying shit like "THERE WERENT DINOSAURS WHEN HUMANS EXISTED!!" but they forgetting that its a Stonepunk - its a genre where stone age humans can have a pet dinosaur and live in a rock-house that looks like a penthouse inside.
>>6147540
>There's really not enough unified detail on the other sets to suggest otherwise
There is literally tons of details of techno-fantasy + bits of a dieselpunk in Ninjago.
Picrelated one of the older sets.
This world cant be the steampunk if picrelated ships exist in it.
>>6147525
It's more of seeing a Boston terrier and calling it a French bulldog
>>6147556
>>6147540
Also about that Zeppelin - look at how the top of it is built.
At the back of that "balloon" is a huge "rocket engine" that has fires.
That rocket engine is obviously a bright detail of a modern era.
May be its just colors that are also confusing because Steampunk heavily inspired by yellow-gold-brown colors.
But Pirates look more like those Mad Max cars but in the sky - because they used random junk and old planes to build their vehicles.

Steam punk uses early forms of electricity.
You are wrong.
>>6147548
>Historypunk
Emperor's New Groove and its accompanying TV show were rife with this and I loved it
>>6147560
Also dont forget those huge screens/buttons - obviously they all powered by electricity. Also they were programmed in a specific way and are simply "computers".
Its a huge warship, not a floaty steampunk Zeppelin.
Also zeppelins...Dude - zeppelins are THE details of a Dieselpunk era.
Zeppelins appeared right during the time when Dieselpunk era started:
http://www.airships.net/wp-content/uploads/graf-zeppelin-land-fried005a1.jpg
Again sorry for dorkiness - it just triggers me so much.
I still cant get over the fact that people call the first Dishonored game a Dieselpunk even on the Wikipedia.
The second is a little confusing because it has clockwork robots with swords.
But the first one is clearly an alternative reality that just uses an alternative source of "Fuel".
But its still fuel (Whale fat or that the hell is that).
Its heavily powered by fuel, electricity and a shit ton of computers and even screens. Dishonored 1 cant be Dieselpunk.
phew....
>>6147571
Dishonored is obviously Whalefatpunk
>>6147566
>Steam punk uses early forms of electricity.
>You are wrong.
No. Electricity never was the main power source of Steampunk.
It would be called an ElectiricyPunk then. Isnt that hard to understand?
It cant power cities and factories as much as it powers cities and factories of Dieselpunk.
>>6147572
Whalepunk is actually a thing I think. Like a Herman Melville Moby Dick universe where everything is stormy and whale oil lamps are still around
>>6147572
>Whalefatpunk
kek works for me. At least it will stop people calling it steampunk :D
Purists are the worst type of cancer for ANYTHING.
If you read some of the books that gave birth to steam punk, early forms of electricity were used in the inventions that people used. Vacuum tubes and giant transistors (resistors? Just woke up, forgive me.)
In the end, who fucking cares, the ______punk genre has been split and broken so many fucking times that there is no unification to it. Its worse than Linux.
>>6147571
>Dishonored 1 cant be Dieselpunk.

Dishonored uses Dieselpunk rules of design but not a Steampunk.

Dude you are fucking retarded.
Steampunk electricity is very primitive.
Steampunk cant have perfectly working computers and World War 2 machines with buttons and lights. Stop being upset about the fact that you are wrong.
>>6147581
>In the end, who fucking cares
Go on - call Matrix the Dieselpunk instead of Cyberpunk.
Or call Hobbit a Cyberpunk instead of Fantasy.
Its just these 2 genres literally stand super close to each other because Dieselpunk started when Steampunk died (World War 1-2, people heavily using diesel fuel and electricity more often and that allows them to actively use war machines that can fly and make a huge factories that werent available during Steam Era)
Also even simply looking to cloth-details of those Sky Pirates (they using world war pilots designs) you would know its not a steampunk.
Its just normies dont give a shit so when they upset they wrong they go with that retarded logic "OMG WHO CARES XD LMAO TRYHARD"

>>6147581
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Steampunk, is in fact, Dieselpunk, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Diesel plus Punk. Steampunk is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Diesel system made useful by the Diesel corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the Diesel system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Punk which is widely used today is often called “Steampunk”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Dieselpunk system, developed by the Dieselpunk Project. There really is a Steampunk, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Steampunk is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Steam is normally used in combination with the Punk operating system: the whole system is basically Punk with Diesel added, or Dieselpunk. All the so-called “Steampunk” distributions are really distributions of Dieselpunk.

You cant be this dumb and think its trolling while there are literally these rules that put a line between 2 genres.
Go ahead - call picrelated a steampunk for no reason.

Clearly, Nowpunk is the common term for works of speculative fiction which posit the question, "What if today... just kept going?" Nowpunk is frequently characterized by its dystopian motifs, hyper-exaggerated consumer goods and references to events that occurred just the other day. Nowpunk fans can be recognized by the unnaturally orange pallor of their skin and terrible hairstyles inspired by the 45th President of the United States, clothing with oversize printed patterns and logos, and comically large mobile devices (ex. tablet PCs as mobile phones and/or other wearables). Nowpunk is not to be confused with Just-nowpunk whick was fell out of favor shortly after the end of this sentence.

kind of...i mean not for a faggots but for "feminine" people for sure - Steam punk is more aestetics-elegant thing.
1) beatuiful women
2) elegant designs
3) neat clothing
4) gold/shiny things
While dieselpunk is
1) brutal hardcore shit (rockets/machine guns/explosions)
2) monsters and mutants (Frankenstein's Laboratory with tons of lights and electricity, or horrible Nazie experiments during WW2)
3) dark and depressive world (anti-utopian world, Soviet Union with red robots and zeppelins)
more manly and "cool/edgy" in general.
PS:
Still its more gay too
1) lots of ships that look like dicks
2) more dark and leathery military uniform

alright guys im hyped for the jungle explorer sub theme, and the box art that was leaked that has the animal on it (i missed it looking at it first time) seems weird to me.
I know the rumor is its a black anther, but ive never seen a panther while looking at it?
I think its a gorilla, the back legs may move independently, there is no obvious tale on the box image, and the way its stood and its size seems like its going to be similar to the bear... i think a panther would be a smaller mold.
I know gorillas have flatter faces and their hands/feet would be smaller possibly, but the pointed head (possibly panther ears) could be the shape of a gorillas skull?

100% not a gorilla. It has a very long face and 4legged creature body.
gorilla would have a different body type - little back legs and big front arms.
>>6147889
I thought that, but would they be able to get the articulation with smaller back legs?
Why is the panther so big though? like the same size as the bear?
>>6147889
>>6147893
They probably keep the animals standard sizes since making it one stud smaller may result in a smaller than ideal animal (and also they could be reusing a mold intended for a future licensed line)
>>6147894

Actually, from recent builds (lepin and POGO brand, specifically), the arm connects are fucking SOLID, even a bit TOO TIGHT. For me its the hip connectors that usually suck, the legs feel like they are going to fall out of the body. Also, from what I saw from the Lepin figs, the necks are slightly too small (or more likely the head hole is too big). Also, generally, the hair pieces arent quite right.

>>6148256
This is literally one of my favorite parts of building! So, I have a few ideas that I haven't fully finished. The one I'd like to use in a castle is basically fiber optics using the tube part from the exo force mechs. They all had a translucent tube that ran from the light brick on the back to a weapon. I have a few designs of lanterns that the tube can illuminate. None are overly useful.
Here's one I don't hate. It needs something to hide the glowing tube. Maybe if you made it into a chandelier?

A more simple and easy to implement light source is a wall torch. I have used wall torches several times and i'm mostly happy with them. The downside is that I use a power function light to illuminate my torches. It makes a huge bright hot spot in pictures. It's a space gun with a translucent fire colored cone on the wide end. You could use a flame if you want.
Am I cool yet? :^)

Figs made just as figs are great. On par with the CMF figs, as long as they come from a couple different manufacturers. How much do you want for the Chi Cragger?
So help me out guys. I've bricklinked some villains from the Lego Batman Movie, and I want to get a set and display all of them on. I'm either getting the Batcave (villains attacking it) or Arkham Asylum (villains breaking out the inmates)
But what do I get? Some pros and cons for each:
70909 Batcave Break-In:
+ The great Bruce Wayne and Alfred Minifigs
+ Murder Penguins!!
+ Duck and Batman boat looks great
+ Lots of features
+ Conveyor belt with Batman Suits, room for other suits aswell
- Ultimately a playset over a display one
- Out of the 9 minifigs, 2 are small penguins and 4 batsuits
- Vehicles, while cool, is still vehicles
- that mix of beige, BLG, DBG, black
70912 Arkham Asylum
+ An iconic building that looks absolutely beatiful
+ Lots of neat references inside
+ TWELVE minifigures, 9 of them being exclusive to this set
+ Billy Dee Williams Two-Face
+ Will probably look alot better on display
- Costs about 50 % more than the Batcave
- 5 of the 12 minifigures has the same orange jumpsuit
I need opinions. Guys?
>>6148682
>+ An iconic building that looks absolutely beatiful
I personally think the previous Arkham Asylum (10937) looks better. It has a more Gothic aesthetic versus the more Bavarian aesthetic of the newer one, which fits better in the Batman universe.
Of course, the downside to that set is that it's retired.
>>6148682
Arkham is better set.
>>6148561
I hope this isn't another Dewback situation where they completely drop the ball and create a new articulation-less mold despite having knocked similar triceratops dinosaur molds out of the park in a previous set.
I'm hoping they reuse this body and add a new head in that neck joint instead of what looks like a stiff, single piece lion.
>>6148718
It will be new mold for sure.
And yeah, Dewback without leg or head movement was a horrible decision.
Playmobil has so many animals and smaller ones always gets at least head articulation.
>>6148677
IDK, I'm not too keen on these.
Would like to continue this on emails if possible, mate, thanks.
>>6147630

It's always bugged me that Wonder Woman didn't get printed bracelets on her arms, so I've come up with a couple of solutions, but can't decide which looks better. Either printed bracelets off a different minifig (March Harriet's arms), or a couple of One Ring pieces.
>>6148810
My WW had the ring solution currently, but I definitely need to pick up a march harriet now. Looks a lot better and I bet it doesn't completely disable arms-down articulation.
>>6148813
Yeah, the reduced arm movement was bugging me, so I'll go with the printed arms.
>>6148731
If the tech isn't there, fine. But it is. Which means someone just didn't bother.
The dewback was the big draw for that set, and it was a single piece and one colour with minimal printing, on their money-maker line.
Meanwhile, they put this out before the dewback, four articulated legs, a head with up-down AND side-side rotation, plus multi-colour printing all over the body.
Like, why was the dewback so phoned in? Just to leave room for improvement in a few years for the next version of that set? They could've re-used the triceratops body with shorter legs and a new head to keep all those joints.
Bought the Joker's notorious lowrider a while back, literally immediately after i got my paycheck i saw they were loading them into the store and splurged.
I know people have complained about the price, but personally i think a giant sleazy 70's lowrider with zebraprint seats in my favourite colour is worth my 55 yurodollars any day.
While i don't really care about licensed minifigs, the Batgirl outfit really suits my vampirewoman. I guess she could wear it whenever she feels like going vigilante or on halloween.
A while ago i was actually planning on giving her and a few other characters some edgy 90s cool superhero outfits, i still have a few prototypes lying around.
They said they didn't have the cmf's yet though.
Lego's Bricks and Pieces service is down until February, so I can't just check, but maybe somebody here knows: can you order sticker sheets from that service?
>>6148844
Why does your car have nickels for hubcaps?
Can't finish up my purple car now, but modded the speed champs hotrod some more. I used a car chassis piece to make it as low as possible and maximized space as much as possible to make this supercompact chopped version. It's probably the smallest it can get and quite nice in scale with the beetle, jeep and yellow hotrod. However i had to sacrifice the flame doors to get the lines to work. But atleast it has a cute interior now and is a LOT sturdier than before. First time i used the creator style steeringwheel. It needs a lot of space to work but fits minifigures hands better than the old ones.
>>6148846
gotta show the proletarians who's rolling in the money
[spoiler]I have another option that looks better but is in black and gold. I wanted to keep those for my purplecar and have something that matched the engine details. These were the only set of four round 1x1 tiles i had in pearl silver.[/spoiler]
>>6148846
They're nickel-plated, of course.
>>6148854
Stick some silver bars on top of the angled studs on the side of the engine. Instant chromed valve covers.
>>6147452
Nightmare fuel
>>6147845
Sorry don't know sauce, nabbed it from a /tg/ thread.
>>6147987
nice one. Lol
>>6148094
Looks like its inspired by crimson skies.
>>6148845
No, but you can email Customer Service and wangle a new one if the sticker sheet was loose in the box - just say it got creased / crumpled.
>>6148913
>Some exo force mechs had a light brick?
The first ones did. It is different to the light brick they use nowadays
>>6148819
>dat triceratops
fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Back in 2013 i had money to buy picrelated set. And up to this day i blame myself for not doing this.
This trike is one of the best lego bigfigs. And it would such a fun time to put some armor on him and some riders or even a catapult!
even a triceratops alone is expensive.
What are your favorite minifigures that you had as a kid?
Mine are these 3. Still alive and almost like new. Both aqua-dudes were bros while that Conquistador was the main villain in every play.
>>6148975
When I was a kid I made my own Ghostbusters, and this was Ray. He was originally a firefighter from some tiny old set. The torso print got so worn I wiped it off completely when I came out of my Dark Ages, now he's an elite pilot working for the Space Pirates.
>>6148951
I still don't understand why they haven't capitalized on the jurassic park licence, give me a t-Rex breakout set from the original damn it!
>>6149041
Probably because they don't have it.
Jurassic World (tm) is different from Jurassic Park (tm).
Have you looked at the JP3 sets that came out when that came?
>>6149044
I kind of assumed they got both partially because they were all lumped together in the Lego game but maybe that is the case
Finally got round to buying the log cabin set and I love it.
Can anyone recommend similar sets?
Okay /lg/ I need some help, thinking about getting a ninjago set and I'm stuck between the NRG dragon, tiger widow island and possible salvage mech, all are roughly the same price and the only other ninjago set I have is temple of airjitsu
>>6149062
31025 Mountain Cabin looks like it would fit in with the Log Cabin perfectly.
>>6149062
There's a couple cabin sets in the same line
Really a lot of the not city creator buildings work great with it
Or just bricklink a bunch of brown, windows and slopes and make you own cabins
Anyone at London Toy Fair? How come nobody has posted anything?
The croc has evolved
>>6149189
>Anyone at London Toy Fair? How come nobody has posted anything?
Read the previous thread.
>>6149189
I heard LEGO is cracking down on non-retailer presence this year.
>>6148951
That truck is actually pretty damn cool.
Why doesn't Lego do more massive fuck-you industrial stuff like that instead of boring ass cops and firefighters?
>>6149192
Reminds me of this
>>6149206
That's all fake info.
>>6149344
CHIMA CONFIRMED!!11111111111111
>lego going the way of the cinema industry and is only pumping out star wars shit and superhero shit
REEEEEEEE
GIVE ME MORE CREATOR BUILDINGS
BRING BACK ADVENTURERS TOO
Got the batman magazine. Next issue is gonna come with joker
>>6149192
Has science gone too far?
>>6149382
>GIVE ME MORE CREATOR BUILDINGS
You just got the biggest modular ever and the 3-in-1s are better than ever
WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT
>>6149400
This is the only interesting thing inside the magazine. All the other vehicles in the comics are real sets so this might be (part of) a wave 2 set
>>6148951
This set was overpriced.
>>6149382
>BRING BACK ADVENTURERS TOO
AND legends of Chima!
that was such a cool line dammit
>you will never ride giant robo-zombie Mammoth right into the battle and when it will break you will fly away on a neat-ass star fighter.
>>6148844
AWW I was hoping you will do that!!
>>6149400
whats the present with issue 1?
>>6148690
Thanks anon!
It's got some hidden special features. About 14.
>>6149461
post the comic with the spaceguy poking it with a stick
>>6149447
Standard batman minifig
>>6149419
stop making me want to rebuild it damn you
>>6149487
>>6149400
Are there any versions of the Joker's purple suit that don't have the skulls on the necktie?
I wanted to get one for a pimp outfit, but not if it has the skulls.
[spoilersonthetoyboard]Yes I know about the memer limo.
>>6149509
thanks anon, saved me the trouble of finding it again. <3
Dream sets that'll never happen?
For me it's definitely the Meson Martinet
>>6149544
UCS Ravager from KotOR 2
(Official) UCS Venator-class Star Destroyer
Though I have a feeling that my yearly bonus will go into bricklinking the MOC venator. Doea anyone have the plans of that moc by the way?
>>6149544
A star wars set that is not an "insert random letter"-wing or a gray box.
>>6149544
The videos for the Exosuit said something about space pirates... I want them.
>>6149585
Here's your 300 brick structure sets.
That'll be 80 dollars thanks.
>>6149544
That's what MOCs are for, anon.
>>6149503
fuuuuck. this is one of the most iconic klocki sets of 10s
>>6149585
what about a 5-Wing
>>6149544
Is this a dream set for ants?
>>6149592
One of the reasons I would like the Meson Martinet though is for the minifigs
>>6149603
It was the only screenshot I could grab of the ship
its ok to make a new thread now guys
>>6149544
A modern race track set that can compete with this
>>6149598
It's gappy as fuck though with all the technic pinholes and such. It only works because it's such a ridiculously fun toy.
I guess also because it's an undead vehicle so its frame showing isn't as immediately offensive
>>6147489
Would look so much cooler with one of the monster character's heads instead of that ugly ken doll-mode one.
>>6149614
Oh damn, that's nice.
Might wanna try to moc up some structures when I get properly into making racing vehicles.
>>6148810
movie version has printed bracelets
>>6149544
An Overwatch/Dota/League of Legends Minifigure series.
>>6149705
The chess set alone will give you the same number of figures as all the other sets combined.
>>6148701
They're too pussy to say how many pieces it has though. Best stay away, not giving them money if they're obviously going way over 10 cents per piece and trying to hide it.
>>6147313
>a rabbit and hamster army builder
FINALLY
>>6147489
This one is probably my favorite. I don't hate the others, but I'm just going to say that you must have some messed up dreams.
>>6150383
That's obviously a weird preliminary image without the piece count. (img URL to follow because we're at image limit)

$150 USD for 1628 pieces is nine cents/piece.
>>6149544
Western Modular Town
Stupid fucking Lone Ranger.
>>6149666
Nice try, Satan. But I don't want to buy a pretty crappy set from a really terrible movie.
That said, I do actually like the Wonder Woman figure. The head and hairpiece kind of suck, but I like the rest.
>>6147662
abatman sets also in the U S in stores allready aswell
try eBay or amazon
>>6147830
i dont like chima but those zombie or dead chimas are pertty dope looking
>>6149062
Changing seasons has a winter log cabin
>>6149461
Look out! That spider is armed!
>>6148682
Get the Arkham set, anon. There's more to it, plus like you said the Batcave set is more of a playset.
