A quick review

Triggerhappy is the best. The only problem I can find is the right arm cannon does not like to clip into the position.
It appears to be fixable by either cutting into the hinge or part of the edge flush against the blue part of the arm. Much appreciated if any one know the correct solution to this.

Twinferno is also pretty good. Do wish they mold the limbs in more mechanical look. The animal like limbs are a bit weird next to the robotic torso. Only major issue is that they really should add a swivel somewhere near the dragon's heads. Maybe it is modifiable with some store brought ball joints.

Hot rod is meh. The whole thing is floppy and bland. It does not help that it got chipped paint under his lip and looks like two red pimples. I don't dig the car mode either it is too fat. Personally I think even with the gimped arm, the classic mold is still better looking.

Hey holiday anon, this is another person from the PH. I haven't actually seen any W3 figures around, nor the W2 Titan Masters. The rest of Titans Return is present.

When it comes to old stock, it's mostly CW, of which all size classes are on sale. Legends class has gone down to 400PHP from the original 600; Deluxes are now 500PHP from 800 (but you're lucky to find any CW deluxes at all at this point); Voyagers are 1000PHP from 1500; Leaders are 1500PHP from (IIRC) 2500.

A few places have the combiner box sets; we have all of the Hasbro ones. All of them are still MSRP. T30 toys seem to have finally gone extinct.

Regarding Masterpiece figures: some stores have Hasbro (silver) Bluestreak and Starscream, both should be discounted.

Platinum sets are plentiful if you care about those. I've seen most of the '86 Movie sets except for the Autobot Heroes pack. A few of the G1 reissues (Blaster & Perceptor, the triple changer redecos, YOTG G2 Prime) lingering still.

We're at the Windblade/Paralon wave of RID. TRU has the exclusive rights to Clash of the Transformers Starscream and the Decepticon Island pack.

Good luck with your hunt, and I hope you enjoy your stay. Mabuhay, anon!
>>
>>6070518
Ah, just read the other anon's response.

Darn, was hoping to find something old but hard to find...any idea if they have cw leader thundercrackers, we're about to have a sale here tommorow with our starscreams and our recently arrived skywarps (took long enough).

Were those platinum sets discounted?

Other than those might, MIGHT grab an mp starscream just for a bit of pocket change, or a rid scorponok if available since I got those tru clash figures.

Thank you for the assistance!
>>
>>6070527
Leader Thundercracker? I've seen a few. The only CW Leaders I haven't seen in a while are the Megatrons. The Platinum sets are not discounted.

You're always welcome anon. It's nice to help other people out with their toy hunts when they're in (or going to) the country.
>>
>>6070535
Dang, been wanting armada megs (well, not at full price), but thundercracker sounds good, another seeker into my...oversized seeker collection.

Many thanks, if I'm lucky I might spy something "rare", if not it just means more t-shirts in the luggage heh

I wonder if Rewind could make a good TFA Soundwave repaint. I mean he obviously lacks the backpack and the cartoonishness of the design, but other than that they look similar to me. Plus it'd be a nice novelty to have a little Soundwave that turns into a pocket radio.
Can someone photoshop Rewind in Soundwave's colours please? Probably with the tank rims as speakers.

Recommend a CHUG style head replacement for this guy, anons.
>>
>>6070539
Sounds like a nifty idea but I'd rather someone else in his slot, a cliff jumper repaint of bumblebee with a new head, maybe kickback retooled into one of the other insecticons, or even a new mold.

Besides more than likely we'll just get redeco's of rewind and frumble
>>
>>6070512
Seems to match my expectations. I'm technically interested in all the characters in this wave, but none of them do anything for me. Triggerhappy looks wonderful, but I wanna wait and see if he gets a more interesting repaint. I like Rodimus, but the MP kind of makes him pointless. Meanwhile, RiD Twinferno looks to blow the TR version away in every aspect, so it looks like I'm saving my money for a while. Not like I wanted to venture into any retail stores around Christmas anyway.
>>
>>6070542

My bad, I meant I'm thinking about getting one and painting him as my first custom. Thing is I'll have to buy new paints too and I'm in a budget right now, so I'm reluctant to experiment.
>>
>>6070561
If that's the case wait for a sale, buy him then then wait until your budget stabilizes.

If worse comes to worse just dunk him in bleach (after removing the screws of course, after my own go at customizing a skullcruncher and threading the screws I dunked him in bleach, the god damn tampo's stayed on but the screws went all white and flaky like ash)
>>
>>6070558
I think Twinferno is worth a pick up, he's pretty nifty. Although I also plant to pick up the RID one; you can't have too many two-headed dragons.

Definitely pick up some version of Triggerhappy. He's got such a nice transformation and is just great all around.

Rodimus isn't too bad, but definitely the weakest of the bunch. (Well, I guess Getaway is actually the weakest, I didn't even bother.) Loose hips like Skullcruncher are the only issue I've encountered. And he's probably the best deluxe Rodimus we'll get.
>>
I'm not sure many of you anons play this, but earth wars just got a holiday update
>>
>>6070580
I was playing until I was spending so much time grinding the same thing over and over again it was no longer fun.

Add to that our alliance commander got a bit "tyrannical" and started kicking people left and right. So I just put it down for a bit.

What's the update?
>>
>>6070565

I thought bleach would destroy the plastic like nail polish remover does.

Sales and markdowns are a foreign concept in my country sadly. Rather than putting up new products that would sell, the stores prefer to keep the pegs stocked with year old shelfwarmers at full price. It's also a common tactic for businesses to raise their prices in response to reduced sales so as to cover their losses with each sale.
>>
>>6070588
Wow, what the fuck? I mean, technically that way the businesses earn more than they lose, but don't they also lose all the sales they would have gotten if they had stocked new shit?

Where do you live?
>>
>>6070512
Since I also got them, I'll also post my opinions:

Triggerhappy is fantastic, but everyone already knew that. 10/10

Doublecross is disappointing. While his transformation's kind of fun, his dragon arms are pretty limited. Robot mode lacks a waist, and unlike other figures, there really is no excuse for it, and dragon arms are still to limited for me to enjoy them (wrist swivels would have gone a long way). Oh, and mine's guns were too thick for the dragon heads to hold. 6/10 (and only due to that limited ankle articulation)

Hot Rod's pretty fun. You can get many poses out of him, car mode looks pretty good, and paint was all applied correctly. They transformation has no way of scratching the chest, so that's good (I was worried the orange bit directly infront of the chest would scrape after a few transformations, but there's a space between it and the port after you transform him). His guns pegs are also too big, and while they're not a problem for the hands, there's no way I'll try them on the car peg holes. 8/10
>>
>>6070588
No, its a common model technique, its safer than sanding.

I squeezed it afterwards and its still fairly strong, and I used this to strip one of those chromed up gundam models before hand so it works.

As for sales, do you...know this or based on speculation?

Stores like to sell stuff but if the pegs are full they can't stock more, though sales are dictated by whoever is incharged (hasbro, company directors etc) so good chance they may just not like money

So in my country they're having the cw leader class figures at half rrp and all they have are skywarps and starscreams, 2 quick questions.

>does the cw crown fit on mp11's head?
>would it be worth it for a seeker collector who has the legends seekers and the mp11 versions of each?

I also have the jetfire mold, I enjoyed it, but do I need another trio of seekers?

How's that Prime? I kind of dig it. The plane mode looks less than great, but it's pieces seems pretty unobtrusive in terms of just going between truck and bot mode.
>>

Either that or octane

The answer to this one depends on how much of a Seeker fan you are. Would you get them at some later point anyway? Have you been getting every set of seekers ever?

The lack of symbols annoys me, I know its 3p but putting stickers on anything annoys me.

I like it. But a lot of people don't.

Personally speaking I think the figure can be a lot better with proper heels and much smoother shoulder piece. Too much stuff on the shoulder parts making it very hard to move the arms around.

And the plane mode can go to hell.
As for the lack of sticker, i already got the 30th ann sticker sheet. Going to make Autobot megatron and decepticon prime.

Greece, where the law of supply and demand is "I have this supply and I demand you buy it at that price" along with an implied "you won't find it cheaper anywhere else" because all stores have the same prices and no sales. Then the consumer buys nothing, the money doesn't flow, the businesses bitch and moan about low profits and the economy, and more people end up unemployed and with no spending money to buy from the stores.

As a greek I'll freely admit that greeks are retards. Just not the spending retards people think we are. The problem is that greek people got greedy and gluttonous during the fat cow 90s and in many cases are either unable or unwilling to adapt to the new situation, most notably businesses, whose purpose is to make increasing profits. We have first world prices for third world wages.

>Is it really that odd?
The checking or the lack of sales?

Well, nothing wrong with checking infact because of all the new stuff I check for new releases daily in stores since other parts of my state get new stuff and I follow a local tf group for sales, but the lack of sales AT THIS TIME OF YEAR is terrible, should be gearing up something to help stock sell, might even brighten up the lives of the poor kids down your way with a simple sales on even legends class figures

I'm using RID Rumble, which is a bitch to disassemble (couldn't get the pins on the shoulders off and am currently reconstructing part of the shin pieces that got destroyed in the process) and half of the body is clear plastic (which I've heard will be destroyed by thinner no matter what).

By not directly participating in it. From what we've seen so far, Tryps's head looks to just be a regular robot dinosaur head. I assume that the Titan Master he comes with is gonna go to Full-Tilt, his transforming chest drone, while Brunt the tank drone is gonna be a Titan Master vehicle.

I really want to try cutting off the hinges of Gnaw's upper jaw including the tabs and just glue them to his back. It would look much better than having them on his feet.
>>
>>6071296
Any translucent plastic on Bee? How many plastic colors does Gnaw use? I've been really curious since that other anon found out that Kickback didn't have any actual black plastic.
>>
>>6071302
From what I've seen, the translucent plastic on Bumblebee involves the top of his car mode and little else. I'm not the anon who posted the picture though, so grain of salt.
>>
>>6071089
>>6071169
Designers said they used a modded Deadend as the proof of concept for headmasters, they aren't direct remolds but use pretty similar enginery, same could happen with Doublecross.
>>
>>6071302

It doesn't seem translucent, but Bee's canopy is yellow paint on sparkly black plastic. Everything else looks to be the actual plastic color.

Gnaw seems to have three main plastic colors: gray, light gray, and blue, and the his shark face part is transparent green.
>>
>>6070512
Triggerhappy is the best of wave 3 hands down
Twinferno is a pain to transform, plugging his feet in/unplugging his shoulders is a scary affair. It feels like I'm going to break the tabs, so I might end up filing down the tabs a little.
Hot Rod is fun but sans the gimped elbows.
None of my Wave 3 figures are floppy and I was fortunate to have about 15 Hot Rod's and about 10 of Twinferno and Triggerhappy to pick out a decent unblemished paint job. All in all a good wave.

It's both hilarious and a little sad how well Bisk's arms are articulated while Twinferno got... those... things.
>>
>>6071836

A mainstay would be a bit much, but I'd honestly love to see CW and TR stuff still appear in later lines, perhaps with some improvements (but still remain compatiable with the old figures). They're solidly done gimmicks that work well.
>>
>>6071853
Those look expensive
My local TRU just had Clampdowns, $50-priced voyagers (sale), and whatever RID size Quillfire and Scorponok are. No TR.

TRUs in my city (Canada) never had titan masters in stock, got them all from Wal-Mart. Weird.

No, they were like $15-20. Clampdown was around $7 after taxes. Was hoping to save my money for Triggerhappy and Fangry though. And maybe Doublecross and Overkill.

Sorry anon I went to sleep after our last chat, here is a short video from a pro gundam modeler (won the gundam builders world cup australian region)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYi2BTg33Dg

If you want to be safe disassemble the transformer as much as you wish and submerge the parts entirely, that's right, if you can remove the screws and or pins, my pins seem ok but the screws were clearly affected on my skullcruncher, plastic was fine.

Technically clear plastic SHOULD be fine, least on gunpla (was noted by other modelers as a safe method), the worst that can happen with clear plastic is it fogs up in which durability may be compromised, if you wish to avoid breakage (since gunpla plastic may differ from transformers plastic, not that I've seen yet) perhaps leave any clear parts in so you don't risk breakage during re-installation unless you like to repaint them of course.

Mind you, I use a cheap bleach so stripping times will vary, I hear the better brands strip paint quicker.

Also pro tip, no matter the plastic straight up thinner will straight up annilate plastic, one of my gunpla friends thought it was a good idea to use pre-mixed panel liner on bare plastic and while it looks great it crumbled apart from the very panel lines themselves, clear plastic or not thinner WILL fuck up plastic, wanna be safe least put a top coat over it before panel lining use an enamel wash, but otherwise THINNER AND STRAIGHT PLASTIC DON'T MIX EVEN IN REMOVING PAINT.

If you do panel line (after full paint prep) use a cotton swab that's slightly damp with paint thinner and go lightly, provided the sections are top coated in gloss/semi gloss it should survive the process but once paint starts coming off top, repaint, dry, then try again.

>>6070760
Its ok anon, the only other solution I can offer is car brake fluid.

...don't do this though for the love of god, people suggest it to me but unlike bleach I don't think you can dunk and forget

For those who got the cannons not able to stay clicked to the arm, I think i got a solution.

The main reason the cannon won't click is because the hole for the pin is not pinned properly. We are not talking about QC problem as all the pin needed to do is to miss the hole by less than .1 mm and you would still get the same problem.
Basically canon is slightly too further back on the hinge resulting in white cannon slight too short to fully cover the blue arm. When you close the arm, the edges of the canon directly touching the blue hinges rings are pushing out cannon.

What you need to do is shave down the white part on the edges that touching the two blue hinges part so blue hinge rings will not touch them to force the part out.

>>6072529
The sad thing is while all things transformers can be collectively grouped as "collectables" 3a and co are "true" collectables, you pose them in place of a statue and admire, while even stuff like an mp is technically an outright kits toy, and mp shockwave and the datsun molds are good enough to give to a kid.

Now soap...are those those static g1 looking figures, I always wanted to buy one but are they really THAT expensive, I liked their look...

I mean, its better than pic related, cheap dollar store shit and "technically" by your logic this is more acceptable even though I'd rather army build 40 titan masters than these alt mode figures (saying that I'm only salty because my country never got them anywhere and if we did they'll charge double/triple a tm figure)

>>6072534
>Both have shitty designs despite being based off of a formulaic box figure?

Gundam designs can vary, like the qubeley which is quite round looking, but the grand daddy is very much meh, a product of its time, older than transformers but just as iconic.

Still better than the edgy angular unicorn design in some aspects, its base concept isn't a greebled mess

>>6072544
Well I have a few clear gundam model kits, its the fact you can't "paint" something see through, it helps more if there is detail underneath or the support moldings can mimmick that.

There is the ghost/crystal thing, or perhaps a modder can add some led's and light him like a christmas tree I guess

>>6072547
Maybe so but considering you can get mpp10 for less than a takara mp10 they're clearly not too worried as they're springboarding from someone else's design, that and that section of the foot feels like wasted detail so it helps if you're into that.

Some ko mp10's (as in reg size and the voyager one) even pick details in the back too for the same reasons

>>
>>6072070
I prefer this gimmick over cw actually, the mold reuse isn't so harsh (yet) and the ability to retool a toy to look more different than its predecessor is easier to do when a giant peg isn't in the way.

Yes it bugs me target masters like hot and scourge are headmasters with their TM's are now their heads but least they're partnered correctly (although then we got stuff like trigger happy with is a welcome touch).

That and making someone a headmaster that wasn't isn't so bad as making ironhide into a skinny fuck who makes a limb but nothing else

>>6072630
We kinda have them with the titan master packs, vehicle, other form, and a gun for anyone else to hold.

I hope its a whole new gimmick

>>6072633
Problem with those minicons is they're pretty bland, robot to gun and 5mm ports only, titan master packs meanwhile give several functions INCLUDING the gun as well as a fun head to mess with.

I see tr as a good thing, I liked combiner wars only when we had shit like superion and co but titan wars so far has been top notch, what the next gimmick is will be amazing or bust

Weaponizers are already over though (with seemingly a few in those 2 packs with the stealth force type vehicles) so I would think Targetmasters are possible. Power Core Combiners had targetmasters/weaponizers, mini cons, and combiners as a gimmick, so I don't see why they couldn't bring any of those possibilities back. Could always bring back some measure of powerlinx too.

What? No Pretenders?
The ultimate Shellformers?

>Entire line of Mega-Pretenders
>>
>>6072761

...Or different-sized Pretenders. Minicons with small shells, Deluxes with Voyager-sized, transforming shells. And two leader-class double Pretenders, with the inner robots combining.
>>
>>6072763
We're not going far enough. Rushing nesting bots. Pretenders within pretenders within pretenders.
>>
>>6072765
What about...pretend transformers?

For 19.99, ultimate retool potential, no faults with every figure, everyone will look exactly the way you want them!

And all hasbro has to do is ship an empty box

GET HYPED FOR 2017-2018
>>
>>6072784
Those models look like shit. Their inevitable figures in the Power of the Primes line better be good.
>>
>>6072786
>Those models look like shit.

Why? The only thing I actively don't like is Deathsaurus' head.
>>
>>6072786
They might be, but you can kiss any chance of getting a regular Saber, he'll go straight from giant plane to Star Saber.
>>
>>6072791
I don't like either of their heads, and they're too boxy. Star Saber's hand seems to be floating.

Where did this pic come from?

How is the Titans Return Soundwave and Soundblaster? Pics if anyone has it? Worth $44?

When I was a wee lad, I actually saw precisely that.

(looks)

Ah. Apparently it was the Godaikin Gardian.
>>
>>6072908

If you want a cheaper alternative to MP Soundwave (since they're both damn near the same size), he's decent. The Blaster mold is good.

Only issues I know of are gold paint rubs off pretty easy on the clear plastic chest thingy, and some people don't like how the helmet sits on the headmaster (too wide of a visor for some), but that last bit there is subjective.
>>
>>6072908
Blaster is pretty fun, I didn't get Soundwave.
>>
>>6072921
>I didn't get Soundwave.

What's so complicated about it?
>>
>>6072947
He means he didn't purchase it.
>>
>>6072276
You could probably make an accurate looking toy if you're willing to have half a truck hanging off the back. Don't see how this could possibly work without being a shellformer.
>>
>>6072276
Has nobody seen the new voyager? it's probably the best that design can get, and from what we've seen, I'd say it does it pretty good.
>>
>>6072999
The voyager is okay. The kibble isn't tooooo bad, but it resulted in some major concessions to the robot mode. It's an okay attempt though, probably better than we got from the last movie. Even with a huge budget, these designs weren't meant to translate well into toys.
>>
>>6072999
I remember seeing it, but can't find it. Anyone got a link?

And time for a new thread? Dragon Hands Edition?
>>
>>6072997

An inside-out former?

Its amazing that they managed to hide all six wheels in his legs.
Not sure what major concessions you mean though.
Personally I'm waiting to see if we get a leader class.

I need help /tfg

I recently got tr blaster, and when I had it in base mode, I noticed I can't put any tm's on the pegs? They don't fit?
Can I fix this or should I return?

Heres a good gallery
>>
>>6073305
Some tms peg holes are a little tighter than others
A tiny bit of nail polish (use a toothpic to apply or something else to make sure you don't fill the hole) and let it dry with the hole pointing down. Should increase the tightness a little.
If it's literally all tms, then put the polish on the peg instead.
>>
>>6073305

If it's too tight, give the lil' pegs a bit of sanding. Too loose, see >>6073316

What if the next part of the trilogy is brainmasters?

Not really, they are a more interactive version of pretenders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ8Qki_nVg4

>one of the details on the sculpt in the back of the left leg looks like it took a hot knife to the face
RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>6073489
return it, just tell them its a defect
>>
>>6073502
I don't actually mind it all that much but I'll try tomorrow.
Is the neck slot designed to be that size, though?
>>
>>6073505

The neck slots should grip firmly, except on Highbrow/Scourge, where it's loose due to design, and Sentinel/Astrotrain, where it's normally WAY too tight and you have to put the TM's head in the wrong way to prevent it from possibly breaking the TM's ball joint.
>>
>>6072276
This design is terrible. It doesn't even look like he turns into a truck anymore.
>>
>>6073161
You mean like the torso for AOE Voyager Prime?
>>
>checking emails
>realize I haven't seen any shipping notices for MP Inferno
>it's been out for like weeks now
>BBTS cancelled my order for no fucking reason without notifying me in any way

That's it I'm fucking done with that shithole website
I'm already moving away from using them but if they can't even fulfill a preorder I've had for months then fuck them
>>
>>6072276
The best you can do is hope that they truck kibble and backpack can come off cleanly and basically wwork as a nice pretenders shell.
>>
>>6073576
Time to burn down their headquarters.
>>
>>6072474
i don't get it. why dont they make the whole truck shell just rotate into a ball to fill the hollow body? that can certainly be done.
>>
>>6072517
>It must be possible, they're computer models.
