My bud and I are getting each other Transformers for Christmas. I got him Titans Return Soundwave and I'm trying to narrow down what Shockwave to ask for.

I pretty much have it down to Combiner Wars/TR Shockwave and Fall of Cybertron Shockwave, but I'm not sure which I want. Surely one of you has both and an opinion on the matter.

He's gonna end up posed on my computer desk.

The Legends one would make a great desk toy. Very expressive and poseable.

FoC has the benefit of being bigger but doesn't have quite as nice articulation. He has far fewer fans than the Legends one but I like them both ok.

Also. Bumblebee's upper arm kibble doesn't bother me quite as much as I thought it would, but it's still obnoxious. If you swap them he looks a billion times better. But if this is the mold they do the other mini car bots with I won't complain.

I dunno. Deluxes have gotten smaller since then, and Legends have gotten bigger. The size gap isn't as big as you think.

I really like the way bots like Wheelie scale with Deluxes like Hardhead. I think it's a good match.

I'll be reporting from Australia, while rare I still see scourges and blurrs but only 1-2 (sometimes each) in a store, the leaders are tanking and we haven't gone beyond wave one (though blaster is the biggest clogger) so most stores won't even see soundwave let alone sixshot (its so bad some stores just stocked up...CW SKYWARPS, we never got them during CW but getting now is absurd).

Legends wise wave 1, mostly wheelie which is odd, and so far with the titan masters its wave 2 entirely, sometimes I see a siren or nightbeat but its rare.

Voyagers we're still stuck on wave 2 but some places still have wave one, and its galvatron.

I'm gonna say the biggest in a literal sense is blaster, unlike blurr's and scourges of the deluxes there is always 2+ hanging around in a store.

I just want a sixshot and at this rate I'll be getting a legends version, all the ones on ebay are over priced or from america (nothing wrong except the shipping)

We recently had a price hike on TR leader classes and deluxes.

As for older stuff, CW leader classes are on sale but only Ultra Magnus and the seekers remain. You still find a bit of armada megs, but no more g1. Voyagers are also on sale- onslaught and betatron scattershot remain. As for deluxes, the skylynx and optimus maximus limbs are left with a few stunticons. Also on sale.

It's not terrible. But it's not great. Bot mode is solid, but dino mode is pretty hollow. Iron Factory makes a nice addon that fills in dino mode and give him his standard-look "wings" that might be worth looking into.

If you love the FoC design, you could also shell out for the Planet X version with is probably the nicest Grimlock I will ever own.

Ive got 40 bucks left to spend on tr toys this season
Ive gotten clobber and galvatron.
So i can either get three/four deluxes or a leader and titan master, or two voyagers and a legends.
I've been wanting to build up my original movie line, and so far ive got generations cyclonus, kup, springer, arcee, ultra magnus, tr galvatron.
I'm pretty sure whichever figures i don't get I'm gonna miss out entirely on.
Ones i want the most are pmop, hotrod, triggerhappy, gnaw, repugnus, fangry
Ones im leaning towards but not sold on are blurr, perceptor, scourge, wheelie, blaster, sixshot
I feel that takara ginrai+godbomber is superior to just regular pmop, but thats a huge chunk of change, and I'm already saving up for Trypticon. Is Hasbro's worth it if i already have UM, and know i won't be getting the takara total package?

Yeah, I've had it for a month or so now. Only real downsides I've found were

I'm shocked. It took forever for wave 2 to hit locally. Like I wasn't able to get Weirdwolf until like 2 weeks ago and then bam all of wave 3 deluxes just chilling in that same place I found Weirdwolf.

No issues with Triggerhappy, but I had to work on Hot Rod. The TM legs are fucked up and won't bend all the way in for headmode while also not being able to bend like a normal knee without stressing on the upper leg section. The right side of vehicle mode won't fully close BUT I've only put it in vehicle mode once so far so its probably just a first transformation mistake. And of course it was very loose at the hip. More so than my skullcruncher. Fixed that already though. Other than those small things, it's my favorite autobot TR so far.
