Are they? I think it depends on the chain and the neighborhood. I've got one Walgreens with 10 Emperor's Wrath Vaders and I've got others with 1-3 or zero. Then I've got two TrU's with no exclusives and another with four pegs full of the Hover Tank Pilot. Scarif Trooper works really well with ML Punisher/Deadpool's rocket launcher. This makes me wish Hasbro would release some more Clone Wars troopers or something so that we could have some more chunky weapons like the gimmick gatling gun that came with the 3 3/4" ARF Trooper.

Also, still having fun with the Vader cape mod, and found that the older ML stands work with the peg holes in his feet.

Yeah, he's definitely got this weird loose zone in all his joints for a couple degrees before they tighten up. I put him on one of the old flat V-shaped revoltech bases when I leave him on the shelf overnight and he hasn't taken a dive yet, I'm just worried about his longevity in general. Went on a fruitless hunt this evening but I did see one interesting thing at Kmart. Between the kylo and Rey exclusives they have over 100. Idk how they will ever sell all those even at clearance

It was pickup today, they ended up emailing me they had it like 30 minutes after I posted that. There were maybe 30 people picking stuff up ahead of me so that's why it took so long.

The trooper is pretty cool, but a definite downgrade from the hovertank pilot. The ammo pouch on the right side of the skirt is super stiff, which I wasn't expecting after how the tanker's pouches are almost comically rubbery. It really fucks with the articulation, he can barely move that leg forward. No running, no lunging, dude can't even kneel on the proper side to shoot his gun. I'm probably going to see if I can make some strategic cuts to free it up later.

And it's personal preference, but I prefer the dirty white more too. The scarif could have done with being a shade or two darker brown, he's basically just khaki and I don't think it work

Replace the cape with a thicker one that isn't basically transparent. Paint the middle sash to have a game-accurate gradient. See if I can shave away some of the plastic on the shoulder robe bits to improve arm articulation, and completely replace the hood with a cloth one so he can actually move his fucking head without a pair of plyers.

How well do the Marvel headswaps work? I was thinking about picking up a few host bodies for my extra / alt heads to make a squad of armoured soldiers. I rather like how these anon's came out, but I'm not sure if they're easy swaps or not. Plus, what body looks the best? New Stormtrooper, Hover tank, flame trooper, the shore trooper? Keep in mind that those two in particular are entirely held there by art, and that's how most will be. The figuarts neck peg is maybe a quarter the size of the socket for those heads, so they're just resting on the neck. As far as bodies go you probably want black series because spending 50 bucks on a bunch of grunts kind of defeats the purpose. You cab find FO troopers on clearance for like 10 at a lot of places. Just keep in mind that recent BS figs have been making it really hard to actually take the heads off recently, it took me about 20 minutes with heat to get kylo's off so I could get to his robe.

Good idea though, I'll try some more out tomorrow, I've got a lot more spare heads laying around since then.

Also (this was probably limited to my figure) the right shoulder pad came off when I was first messing around with his shoulder articulation. It was probably my fault but it seems like it wasn't glued down as well as the other one.

Got Clone Captain and Darth Maul. Never had any Black series figures but the joints all work and nothing is breaking. Well, the shoulder armor of the clone broke off because I wanted to see how far I could bend the arm, that's easily fixable with glue. And Mauls lightsaber is in two parts like Hasbros but the peg on one of the sabers is too big and the hole of the other saber is off-center so I still have to carve away plastic and use glue to make it a double-saber but you can't complain that much about it for 10-15$.

Oddly enough I got him as my first experience with the line, and I still can't stand him. A lot of the articulation has these super stiff ratchets so it's hard to get him in a pose inbetween them. Also, he's got that problem that a lot of marvel legends do where the actual hip assembly is floppy as hell which makes it even worse. Also also, I don't like how they used two different kinds of white plastic on him, it stood out from day one but now the helmet and limbs are very faded compared to the torso.

Not quite, I don't have a fingerprint etched into it. The straps are almost that bad, but the real kicker is the wash over the metallic sections of the armour. I can see the fucking brush marks in it.

I can fix the straps myself, I don't mind seeing as this figure's never going to have any resale value, but does anyone know if I can use a white eraser or rubbing alcohol to clean up the metallic parts of the armour?

I really love Jango, so I'd have bought this figure no matter what. The engineering (except for the shoulders) is great, it's just the paint.

I returned mine because of the shield (and because of Poe), but I never thought the legs on the trooper were bad.
That said, I'd "edited" my regular trooper's feet by shaving a bit from the inside of the upper area (near the socket) to allow the foot to push up more.

If you bought it from Mandarake and that giant fingerprint on the chest wasn't in the description, they should accept a return if you politely email them with pictures and a link to the original listing explaining the issue. Last year I picked up the SHF Iron Man Mark VI described as opened/not used/box damaged and it turned out the previous owner had used it as a panel lining experiment. They refunded me the cost of the figure plus shipping it back to Japan.

I used some Mig dark wash to try and separate the straps from the legs more, ended up having to get out some dark brown acrylic to touch the edges of the straps up with as the factory paint didn't even go out to the edges.

It's still bothering me. I might try and fix it tomorrow, I'm also considering using some brass metallic paint to pick out all the buckles and fasteners. Really lazy paintjob by Bandai.

The final thing I did was work over the jetpack with dark wash and some sponge weathering. Out of the box it's the cheapest-looking part of the figure, could be mistaken for a Mattel accessory.

Overall I like the look of the figure now a lot more than when I pulled it out the box, but it's pretty fucking unacceptable to have to do anything to something that cost this much to make it look presentable.

Will probably try and fix the crotch further at some point.

Doubtful desu. This thing clearanced everywhere. They are practically giving it away at 50$. I seriously doubt hasbro would want to take a risk on another large scale vehicle, even though a classic TIE would sell better and is what they originally should have done. Doubt retailers would want another large hunk of shit taking up space for a year+ only to bin again. Even all the deluxe sets all binned as well, which sucks as im sure hasbro are now hestitant about anything but standard easy sell figures. We havent seen any protos for more deluxe sets. Still crossing my fingers for a dewback and landspeeder sets.

Get some hot (but not boiling) water and carefully pour it over the stuck joint, gently work the joint (but don't force it) until the articulation is freed. It's probably a glob of paint or something stuck in the joint.
