Maybe I'd have to have it in hand, but I don't understand the praise this gets. You can tell they molded the legs with the intention of having the skirt piece from the Shortrooper leader overtop it, making them look misshapen without it. The torso is abnormally small, and the giant, ball-shaped shoulders don't help detract from it. Also the weathering effects look like someone poorly panel-lined it and attempted to clean it off with nail polish remover before giving up halfway through.

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about the Black Series figures and maybe you can give me some advice, this is all just toy questions in general.

1) Some of my figures have shitty paint apps on their faces and have extra paint marks from the paint that was used on their eyebrows. Any way to remove these extra marks without going over them with some paint that matches their face color? I'm really not that gifted with a brush and would probably end up doing more harm than good.

2. Also what's the best way to clean toys in general? Can I just dunk them into a bucket full of warm soapy water and leave them to dry? Or will that damage the paint over a long period of time? Sorry for the beginner question, I haven't been collecting long.

1. I'm pretty sure the faces on the newer BS figure are molded in color plastic so you should be fine going over it with alcohol or something. Be extremely careful though.

2. Wipe down with a towel, Q-tips and soapy water (then clean water afterwards if you want). Don't dunk them in.

I'm joking, as mine has toppled over a few times now, but really he is not that hard to pose. He requires a bit more finesse than your average figure, but he is very well balanced and has all the necessary articulation to hold good poses without falling.

I concede that a stand would be helpful for displaying him an extended amount of time

Actionfigure model kits are not as hollow as lets say Revell Star Wars stuff, they are full of connections so the only things that are brittle would be the same ones that are brittle on the actionfigure version, tiny antennas etc.

Well the first thing you should try if you haven't is your fingernail. Sometimes slop like this comes off pretty easily. It's bare plastic as well so not like you will ruin any kind of paint or finish in the area.

If that doesn't work, try a mr clean magic eraser but be gentle. It's like a super fine grit sandpaper sponge but it's generally sorta safe to use on toys if used with extreme caution. I would be wary of using it on anything with a matte finish since those are so easy to damage and turn glossy but in this case it will work just fine.

Don't use nail polish remover like the other guy recommended, that's just dumb. Rei..I don't see how you can fix that. That paint is going to be one big fused piece if you try to remove the extra paint you are likely to damage more than you want to. You could try taking an exacto knife to it and being very very VERY fucking careful scraping it opposite of the chest direction but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you already have the BS Jango then it's hardly worth getting, but if you really like Jango (like me) I'd say go for it. I got both the BS and Figuarts and I'm still glad I got the Figuarts since I prefer its proportions overall and the gauntlet wires were actually handled better on the Figuarts.

Anons will tell you that it's the inferior figure but at that price, it's practically a steal. The loose joints can easily be tightened anyway and besides, if you order through AmiAmi, they offer free replacement parts for any defects such as the paint or molding.

Pic-related is my SHF Jango. I just literally tightened one of his torso joints and he's been a blast to pose around with.

Sadly, the shoulder armor doesn't move out of the way but the circular pods inside his shoulders should have some give to them, enough to actually push the armor into his torso and hold its position, well before the shoulder pops out. You can sort of see what I mean in the first pic >>6044991.

While the shoulder articulation could have been handled better, it seems that a number of reviewers missed this and didn't realize that it's more poseable than its given credit for (people need only look at Bandai's SHF Ultron to see a completely botched job).

It should be mentioned that I didn't mod the shoulders on mine at all, what you see is pretty much as-is besides the tighter torso joint. Personally I don't even consider the shoulders on mine to be an issue, since I highly doubt that I'd ever pose my Jango with his arms out completely to the side.
