I don't, I bought a CHROMEHEAD for a MANERVA custom, I bought a skullcruncher for my megaaligator head coming, messed around with the others and studied others inbox only like highbrow.

Brainstorm is technically out but I was on the fence, in the end despite many (cheap) ways to get him I let the pre-order run out and stuck to takara for a complete set, I wish you good luck finding a hasbro version, even the sdcc version sold loose is hard to get now (and the walgreens version, while dull in colors is quite varied, loved the sticker detail on the wings).

Truthfully I would of bought only the hasbro versions (got a twinferno and triggerhappy recently, quite pleased) but I thought they would of been held up by the cw waves clogging up shelves, it seems only thing clogging shelves are wave 1 legends and wave one blasters, so no sixshot for me from tr but PLENTY of wave 3 deluxes for everyone

Twinferno's got 5mm ports on his wings and on his hands BUT he has an additional set of connectors for his included guns in combined mode, the dragon heads clearly can't hold weapons but they spaced the pins to do the job well

Hardhead, the green one. Skullcruncher is hindered by his leg situation (his joints there are loose and his feet aren't the most stable). Blurr could be the best but his plastic colors can be divisive. Scourge is just decent.

Besides those issues, the thing that gives Hardhead the edge in my opinion is his cannon. It can interact with Titan Masters, but the hinged cover helps make it look good when it's unoccupied. The platform the cannon is on is surprisingly well-articulated, and gives you a lot of options in both modes. The platform can also accept other 5mm weaponry, his robot mode is nicely chunky, and his tank mode is fun to pilot.

Here are the interior cockpits, twinferno's sits down while the body remains in an upright position, for triggerhappy's you need to "break" the nose first as pictured, seat him in, then with legs stretched out fold the nose in.

Triggerhappy has alot of "play" into him, gerwalk modes are great for him, while twinferno is limited.

That said both come with twin tamashii peg holes, one in twinferno's cockpit window, one under triggerhappy's under-bar where the cockpit assembly spins around on, while trigger happy has landing gear BOTH figures can be posed in natural flight poses as well as crotch connectors for robot mode, something I haven't found in the first waves

Actually its nearly 4am, where my work table sits is right next to a lamp (its good for "fun" pics but for taking pic of models I've been told I have permanent "mood lighting").

Triggerhappy is the best out of the wave, if one wants to nitpick paint apps are kinda rough (mine has a eyelash on his mouthplate sealed in, but the other on the pegs looked worse) and the plastic grey used is meh, but thats really nitpicking, design wise he's what we need from transformers, he poses well (wrist swivels!), lots of fan mode options, peg holes for posing on stands, and he's quite involved (I'm used to twisting hips around but not the upper chest as well, been awhile since I seen that) yet he's just outright fun.

I wonder who he could be retooled into

Generally pretty well, I find all tr figures are the same with just some exceptions (like hardhead's waist), he's got a waist swivel, arm wings don't get too much in the way, legs bend well as its required for transformation, and of course the FORARM swivel (sorry again for the screw up in phrases).

And its a missed opportunity on the dragon heads, if they could he could of been a lean mean meme machine.

It all ultimately matters on the versions of the characters. Current IDW Mikey and Jazz are actually a really good match for each other. They're both compassionate, introspective and fun-loving, but involved in a fight that they don't want to be a part of.

I'll be honest, I watched TMNT a hell of a lot more than I did the original Transformers cartoon, and outside of the first few episodes, I don't remember Mikey ever being serious about anything. He was pretty much just a kid-appeal fuck-up. Bee was actually pretty competent, but I get the feeling he'd tolerate Mikey more than most other Autobots.

Shame. I cancelled my pre-order for him once Grapple got announced, because he looks a million times less boring, but overall the mold still looks great. The few panel lines on the shins and the diagonal stripes go a long way to spice up the deco, though. Plus, I think the bodyshape fits the archetype of a construction worker/architect more than it does a heroic firefighter.

Anybody else ever feel like Transformers are the only toy you truly like?

I think the biggest appeal is the transformation, I've bought a few other figures in recent years, even from franchises that I really like, but if a toy doesn't transform, it doesn't hold my interest. It's that extra appeal of engineering that keeps me fiddling with these guys while other toys get played with and posed for a month or two, then put away or sold.

Not at all however most other toy brands I enjoy are not as widely produced. GI Joe is obscure now, and Xevos were discontinued years ago.
TFs are the only brand going that I still buy with any regular intent however it was very spuratic till CW. That series and TR have been very buyer heavy, TR I have to watch myself because it's way to easy to justify doubles.

Ordered a connector for TF Brainstorm to connect his cannon to his back and it fits so well, they toy should have always done this. You don't even have to remove the connector ever so the shitty Shapeways finish stays hidden pretty well.

You got really lucky. Both my Vortex and Blades were really stressed, and my Vortex actually broke. I glued it, but I also bought a 2nd Vortex just in case. I'd really recommend sanding the handfootgun ports anyway just in case.

I think it's gotten to that point as of late. This whole Prime Wars thing seems to have been born out of the realization that the Third Party has een producing things that the fans haven't been getting from HasTak.

Hell, "Combiner Wars"? That's what fans had been calling the Third Party market back when everyone was doing Devastators and Bruticus upgrade kits and the like.

It looks like John Warden not only has a love for all things G1, but he also seems to be keeping an eye on the unofficial market in search of the next big hit.

Laserwave's ankle's had kind of shitty range. not much back and forward movement and the ankle tilts were limited.

I don't know what that guy is smoking though because he still poses fine.

If you're gonna complain about anything on laserwave you should complain about his knees and lack of his Ratchet joins. You can pose him all you want but if you want to split his legs then it takes an entire bottle of future shine to keep him from doing a full split over the weight of his torso.

He is an overall nice looking figure, however his hip joints, on mine at least, are a little lose.

His feet are very long and flat and smooth and he slides around a bit on flat smooth surfaces more than other transformers I've had before.

HIs balance isn't that good, but not bad ether. You can make him look more "G1" if you fold out his calve parts, and in fold his hood chest.

I started on 4chan when people jumped ship from 5chan. was one of the first posters when they opened up /toy/ to give people from /co/ who wanted to show toys their own place.

People would use anon or made up names. I never had the imagination for a made up name so I used my own. I just lack imagination to come up with a fake name that's all.

Not bad at all, Its a thick yellow coat over the same transparent blue plastic they use for his windshield.

Very uniform cover on mine. At first before I got him out of the box and had a full look at him, it was hard to tell that the yellow was painted on.

Looks best in natural light and bright white light. Only weakness is if you have low level or yellow/orange lights it starts to look a bit "off".

Since My friend has dodgy lights at his place I'll show you...

But still not bad overall.
