Basically I cut out a really long twisty for the wiring. I guesstimated the length by lining it up from one tip of the cape to the other. Make sure it's slightly longer than what you've measured because it's always bound to be shorter.

Afterwards I inserted one end of the twisty through the gap cape's lining where the neck chain is located and pushed it all the way to the end. Then I inserted the other tip of the twisty through the other side of the hole, lining up with the chain inside around the back of the neck all the way through to the end of the cape.

One of the hurdles I had to go through was mess up some of the stitching because my BS Vader's cape had some of it blocking the wire from completely reaching the edge of the cape's lining due to those weird corner pieces it has at the end of each side. I basically cut off some of the stitching using an X-Acto knife and put a dab of superglue at the required parts so the stitching won't come undone. The glue shouldn't spread onto the cloth that severely since this only usually happens at the very far corners of the cape where you still have those triangle-shaped corner pieces to keep the cape tips solid.

Forgot to mention, I used a twisty because I liked the plastic-y thickness of it and how the tips are covered in plastic so as to not stab through the fabric. Also the twisty is strong enough that it holds its shape especially with how the cape feels pretty heavy, so make sure to use wiring that doesn't feel flimsy.

Overall I am happy with them considering I paid like $32 shipped and I could build a near perfect Jango with some part swapping. So happy the guns aren't molded to be used in a particular hand. I would have been PISSED if I paid $70 for one though. The stupid shoulder engineering, the loose ass torso joint I had to tighten and so many fuzzy lines, paint bleeding and inadequate paint coverage. SHF has never been perfect but I expect more on a $70 figure. We aren't talking really hard to pull off paint here, they've done much more pristine work on much more demanding figures. I totally get why it bargain binned.

That said my recent Vegeta also has some paint issues with the paint not quite filling up the entire sculpted area like it should on his chest and shoulder straps. It cost me $50-ish though so i'm less annoyed but kind of sad the quality is going down to figma-tier.

One thing I can definitely say is that pictures don't do the paintjob of his armor justice. It's got a good sheen to it that kinda shifts in the light and looks way more metallic, and less tan.

While not the best figure, he's the best Revan I think we'll ever get and with some mods to his hood and touching up the paint on his middle sash, he'll be a knock-out figure.

I'm going with figuarts for my shoretroopers because 90 degrees doesn't really cut it when "shooting a gun" is the extent of a figure's character. Chewbacca, though? The paint on the black series is fine, he can use his bowcaster well enough, and even though I cringe a little whenever I hear people say it, he doesn't really need to be able to do ninja poses. More options are always a good thing though.

That said, picked him up the other day, really dig him. His joints are kind of iffy, specifically his waist and chest, and his joints are a little loose out of the box. My first black series figure, pretty amazed by how great he is. Can't wait to play around with him more. Might get a second one just to try that revo joint fix. Possibly also add a hinge to the fingers.

Looks acceptable in the full body pictures. Zooming in that much on any 1/12 head is going to point out every defect, be it a figuart, black series or hot toys.

I've not ordered it so I don't really care, but would make for a good Jesus fig.

Just pre-ordered the whole Revan wave for MSRP. So tired of stressing out hoping to find him. Yes he'll probably be easy to find once the wave hits more places, but with all the Kylo Rens literally collecting dust at Walmart and other places, as well as rarely finding new figures in stores at my area, I'll gladly eat up the cost.

Can't wait for them though. Leia and Obi-Wan not so much, but the other 4 should be great.

Even standing next to Mace Windu, a decent figure from the same shit movie shows the diff in sculpt and execution for the face. Good tip, anon. This made me bring Vader out of storage and back on display. I had a 12" twist tie laying around from one of my son's giant trucks, so I was able to thread it through from tip to tip, even along the back of his neck, so I can even get the thing to stand up straight from his neck. Now I just need to work on posing.

Ahsoka's by far the more eye-catching of the two (due to her unique design) and can recreate lightsaber poses more naturally than Kanan but isn't as stable on the ground, though I personally haven't had any trouble getting her to stand unlike >>6035008. You've just got to work with the center of gravity a bit due to the smaller feet.

They're both great figures, in my opinion. Just watch out for crappy paint apps on some copies.

So I'm a big Darth Vader fanboy and I was planning on buying the mafex one. I've heard they had quality control issues, and I've looked and asked everywhere else but here, is the mafex Vader easily breakable? Or is it a rare thing, I remember a couple of months back an anon bought a mafex Vader and parts broke out of the box. Bought my first Black Series figure, Luke Skywalker in his Episode IV clothes and I kinda hate how this cloth looks when posing him. I saw that there are custom robes for him on eBay and was wondering if any of you had ever ordered them, and if so, what did you think?

Yes. The Imperial Guard is a HUUUUUGE improvement, the robes are thinner material and it hangs on the body much more naturally than the first Vintage release. I bought two to make up for it.

I have to disagree with you there. They are already getting higher profit margins and the figure is already locked to their web shop so why bother with time limited bonuses accessories? It's a made to order figure and they already did all the tooling/painting for this stuff.

A retail figure with pre-order bonuses makes perfect sense. A retail figure with a web shop variant with bonuses (see: figma) also makes sense. I may return the other two, but happy to have at least one of the Scarif Stormtroopers. His gun is very nice. Man, I made a mess, but neatly put it all back in order. There were at least 16 Jyn Erso figures there to give you an idea.

I got two of the Walmart exclusive Scarif troopers last night right off the pallet just before closing. They come in cases of 6 and this particular store got two cases.

Well, my Black Friday sucked. Drove all around town, only figure I picked up was red arm 3PO at Target. They had a buy one get one 50% deal for all SW stuff, but the only other new figure they had was the Scarif trooper, and DESU he doesn't look very repressive in person, so I decided just to buy 3PO.

Of course, I went to the same Gamestop where that dude said the Revan wave would be out today and he was full of shit. All they had was TFA wave 1. Walgreens had no silver leg 3POs, either. For some reason all the stores in my area just suck, apparently. Even the blu ray deals sucked. The only movies on sale are ones everybody who cares about them already bought.
