Literally not sure if bait or just trolling.

Ken has been around since the very beginning. If any character is an "accessory" it would be the ethnic variant dolls. Not giving Ken a curvy body while giving Barbie, and her friends multiple different body types would be very hypocritical, and it would also go against everything this new body image forward dolls are trying to accomplish in the flipping first place.
>>
>>6010735
Get real anon.
Barbie is for girls.
Feminists rarely complain about delicious muscular bodies for men and don't considere them impossible ideals that are making little fat girls cry.
So thanks to hypocrisy our Ken will forever remain a ottermode pretty boy. And it's a good thing.

They get posted every. single. fucking thread. They are not even nice dolls or 'upcoming', they came out back in July. No one cares about them.

And also to that poster, at least put captions with the pictures or it serves no purpose at all.
>>
>>6011211
Someone posts it every thread. Same with this stupid post

>>6010716
>>
>>6011211
I wasn't the anon who posted them in the last threads. I've never even posted dolls from this line before. I posted them for the other anon who posted them in past threads out of solidarity. Last time she was posted some rude person in the thread said "Nobody cares about her. Stop posting these dolls" That comment wasn't cool especially since I find them to be very nice dolls myself. If you don't like a doll just say she looks like shit or ignore the post, and move on, but it's down right rude to ask a fan of a doll line to just flat out stop posting a certain type of doll when there are so many far uglier doll lines that get posted here on the regular.
>>
>>6011399

Oh? So that gives you the right to spam those pics in every single general?

Go fuck yourself, cunt.
>>
>>6011399
There's literally no point in spamming the same image in these threads over and over. none at all.

>it's down right rude to ask a fan of a doll line to just flat out stop posting a certain type of doll when there are so many far uglier doll lines that get posted here on the regular.

They're not being asked to post a certain TYPE of doll, they're being asked to stop fucking spamming the same images in every thread.
>>
>>6011409
>in every single general?
>>6011223
>they came out back in July. No one cares about them

This is the first time I've ever posted these dolls. I believe they are a great bang for your buck. They look super realistic, they have marble eyes, and rooted eyelashes for just $15. Also who give a fuck if they came out in July. I didn't know there was a rule that said that the dolls shared in these threads had to be current or else they should be considered spam. This is a doll general thread. I can post a doll from 1992 if I feel like talking about it you little try hard troll.
>>
>>6011422
>There's literally no point in spamming the same image in these threads over and over. none at all.

That's a lie. I've only seen that doll posted once before, and that was two threads ago. I should know because I've been book marking these doll threads since 2015.
>>
>>6011439
Your lies make Baby Jesus cry.
>>
>>6011399
>but it's down right rude to ask a fan of a doll line to just flat out stop posting a certain type of doll

If these dolls were popular and had new releases coming up and actually drummed up actual conversation then fine, but these same pictures get spammed in every thread, the last four at least and they never get any responses. We know they exist since they've been out for months.

Also posting them (or any other doll) with no comment as to why they are being posted is also odd to me.. what are they? are they brand new? coming out soon? on sale? on clearance? do you want to know something about them? without a comment to go with the picture then who knows what you want.

Anyone can post whatever they want but there needs to be some kind of reason or purpose behind it other than spam.
>>
>>6011463
>Anyone can post whatever they want but there needs to be some kind of reason or purpose behind it other than spam.
You can keep calling the doll spam all you want, but it doesn't make it true. Just because you call a dog a cat doesn't make the dog a cat. The image was only posted ONCE before, and that was TWO threads ago. Just because a doll is posted twice two threads apart from from each other doesn't make it spam, and you know this unless you're a retard or live in a parallel universe. I chose to believe you're just a generic brand troll because otherwise it would just be kinda sad.
>>
>>6011439
>That's a lie. I've only seen that doll posted once before

They've been posted multiple times.

She reminds me of the doll that was posted in the last thread. Kinda wanna get them both, but each one falls a little short of perfection. The one from the last thread while very cute had molded on cloths, and this new Stacie not only doesn't have full elbow articulation, but shes more than likely going to be packaged with one of her older sisters which will make what could have been a $10 purchase into a $20 to $25 purchase.

That's a shame. The only Stacie doll I have in my collection is image related which I found on sale at Ross. I found a Skipper with a pink strip in her hair at the Goodwill last week, but she was naked, and her articulated legs are so lose I fear they might fall off.

Believe it or not I still bump into unsold 2012 President Barbie dolls often. I saw one this week at Walmart still shelf warming after all theses years with a big red $5 clearance sticker on her. I've seen this doll bouncing around from shelf to shelf with that big bright red clearance sticker on her for years now. About two years ago they placed an even bigger red clearance sticker on top of the old clearance sticker which now covers/hides her face marking her price down from eight dollars to five dollars.

I've seen them posted at least twice before and I remember the first time I saw them was with info being posted about their names as new additions to the line. People asked questions about them but then interest fell to the wayside. Since then they've been posted again and again, to the point that someone actually had to ask why they were being posted if they had been posted before. It's the same with that stupid Disney doll post that keeps getting posted at the beginning of the thread every time. 2016 Disney dolls? It's fucking November, show me leaks of 2017 releases if you have them. The point is we know they exist. They have been posted before. Instead of being defensive, admit that they have been posted before and that you posted them without any real context.

Hey niggers! A few quick questions about Pullips.

-Do they have rooted hair?

-Do standard models have replaceable eyes? What size?

-What size clothes do they wear? (like pure neemo)

-Do they stand up on their own/are they more poseable than a Barbie?

-Where do the customisers usually sell their pullips? Is there a DOA equivalent for Pullips or a FB group?

Thanks guys, I love each and every one of you.

Almost everything Tonner makes ends up on clearance 50-80% off. That's why you don't see as many Mattel and Tonner dealers anymore, the direct company shops ran sales to customers at under company wholesale so often everybody gave up.

>>
Do the curvy Barbies all have flat feet? Or do some have high heels?
>>
>>6015480
Fat girls can't wear heels, the heel will snap and break their ankles.
>>
>>6015480
Some of them have heels. I believe the brunette with sleeveless peach colored top and flower skirt had arched feet?
>>
>>6015425
Yikes, that is one unflattering dress. She looks like curvy, not tall.
>>
>>6014968
- No, they wear wigs.

- All models have eye chips. You can pop out the irises from the front. You can't take out the whole eye without a screwdriver and removing the entire eye mechanism.

- Barbie / Bratz clothes fit them, so 1/12th I guess.

- They are more posable than standard Barbies, but there's no way they're standing alone. They have tiny feet and massive heavy heads.
>>
>>6015480

Well, those are all the 2015 Bratz dolls I got. I saw some images of upcoming ones that never came to the US which sucks. I would have totally kept collecting these dolls for years, and years to come if the line had not been killed.

RIP Bratz

Those brushes are sorf of cute, but I'm glad they are gone. Otherweise Mattel would have got even lazier with the dolls and fashions to fit their budgets so you can have a mini molded plastic brush.
What would anyone do with those brushes anyway?

It's glaringly obvious that you have no clue about Disney store doll release schedules.
Just because they are called the "2016 dolls" doesn't mean they were released at the start or even in the middle of 2016. The 2016 dolls have only just recently started popping up in some select Disney Stores. Some Disney Stores have gotten some, but not all of them. There are still people actively hunting down these new dolls who don't wish to order over the internet. Even now in late 2016 my local store is still selling the 2015 line. This is nothing new. Disney stores have been doing this for years now. It's just how it works, and you would know that for yourself if you weren't so new.

First not everyone lives in the UK.

The post is intended for those who are trying to find them in actual physical stores. Do you live near a ghetto? If your Disney Store doesn't have the 2016 doll line, then they are violating policies from headquarters. Some stores, usually the outlets, still sell the 2015 dolls on clearance--but they should all have the 2016 line out, since it's been out for months and months now. It is absolutely not normal for Disney Stores to not be selling the 2016 dolls this late in the game.

Mattel has 3 levels of playline Barbie

Cheap* Playline, where half or more of the outfit is molded
Regular Playline, where the clothes aren't molded but there's no articulation and the clothes might be only front-printed
Nice Playline, where the clothes aren't molded, there's articulation, everything is made up and the points don't matter

*not necessarily meaning cheap price

Since there's so many hardcore Disney fans on this thread, what do you guys think of the new Beauty & the Beast trailer?

>>
>>6020869
Disney can GTFO with that prom dress and skinny Gaston.
>>
>>6020869
Eh. I'm not judging anything on trailers anymore because I've been misled and/or burned so many times.

The ball gown is SO disappointing, though, from a costume stand point. Someone posted quotes on /co/ from the director and costume designer and their explanations make no sense.

Director:

>This is a gown that the household staff has pulled together -- and there's one little magic thing that happens at the end of it. But in the spirit of Belle and Beauty and the Beast, it was all about something that felt beautiful, but comfortable. There was no question of adapting Emma Watson's body to a dress. It was the other way around. It was something that belonged to her, that was in the story made for her. Our costume designer Jacqueline Durran was very true to the period, so that slightly more ruffled look of the animated film really wasn't accurate for the period we were setting the movie in. Instead, it's a riff on that.

But it's not more accurate, or accurate at all.

Costume designer:

>>“For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement,” Durran says. “In Emma’s reinterpretation, Belle is an active princess. She did not want a dress that was corseted or that would impede her in any way.”

But her "normal" dress has a visage of accuracy plus little twists that make her more active (walking boots instead of regular shoes, etc) so why not take a design that starts historical and make it lighter? Rather than... this.

It also means the dolls will be underwhelming, although I have a feeling that Disney Store will only release the gold gown as a $75 2-doll set with Beast, so I probably won't be getting it anyway. (Oh who am I kidding, I'll get it just like I bought that $200 live action Cinderella set so I could get the Stepsisters)

On one hand I like that they've just taken the cartoon and shot it scene for scene unlike Alice in Wonderland which was a complete fucking disaster but on the other hand it's kinda boring and we know exactly what's going to happen so might as well just the animated version.

I'm so used to the live action dolls selling like shit that I actually just wait for them to end up in Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, and the like at this point. At $10 a doll, I usually end up getting one for display and one for the clothes. I don't see anything different happening with these dolls.

I only buy the live action dolls I know I absolutely want for regular price--or usually 20-25% off since coupons tend to pop up within a week or two of their release--and save the rest for clearance. How little clothing can you give a doll before it's no longer considered a doll. At this point they are more like large articulated figures. I remember when Disney Store tried selling a line of hero figures in the boys section which included Tarzan, Aladdin, and this Pan, and Hook. They had plastic hair, and molded on clothing so they labeled them Possible action figures on their website.

Emma's acting is honestly cringy. It's like watching a high school play performance. Emma seems to have the same grossed out facial expression plastered on her face throughout most of the trailer, and even in the movie stills that have been released its always the same half pissed off expression. Her one note expression is comparable to Twilight's Kristen Stewart dull jaded expression which she carried throughout most of her film. The enchanted objects have entered the uncanny valley, and they repulse me. Gaston isn't even a big guy much less as big as a barge You had one job Disney.

That said the worst offender is the CGI cartoon Beast. Disney knows that little girls from the 90s, and girls who were tweens when Twilight came out are now adult woman. Twilight was a story about a Handsome yet "monstrous" Vampire who seduces a young brunette girl. Ring any Belles yet??
In short Disney wanted to create a good looking beast that woman could be attracted to just like they were attracted to the handsome, and ripped Wolf/Vampire "monsters" in Twilight. So live action beast has no lower over bit or long fangs. Hes just a good looking brown guy with some facial hair, and demonically long horns.

So they are worried about ruffles not being accurate for that period of time yet they injected black people into the film? My fucking sides are in orbit. They just wanted to give her a non flashy dress with no corset because of Emma, and the designers feminist views. Feminism killed the dress. Think I'm over exaggerating? Emma and the creators of the film are bragging about how progressive it was to not giving Belle a corset in recent interviews.

Thank god Disney had the sense to overcompensate for the feminist fashion-forward inspired dress by using every CGI background trick in the book to bring life to the ball room scene. There's so much visual background noise in the scene that it's almost like Disney didn't want you to notice how shit the dress actually is.

This right here is what worries me deeply. With a dull, dead dress on the over priced live action Belle doll if Disney Store so much as slightly fails to nail Emma's face in doll form the doll will completely go to shit.

>(Oh who am I kidding, I'll get it just like I bought that $200 live action Cinderella set so I could get the Stepsisters)

I didn't give to much of a shit about the live action Cinderella film do to the girl that they got to play the part, but I'm afraid I too will fall victim to, buying an over priced box set if a Live action Beauty & the Beast set is released.

Fun Fact: Disney Store is upping the price point of their standard Deluxe box sets from $79.99 to $89.99 starting with this new Elena of Avalor Deluxe doll set.
So expect to pay way over $200 if they chose to release a Live action B&B doll set.

The live action Cinderella set was $210 with 6 dolls (2 of which were the "regular" live action dolls, the other 4 were exclusive to the set) which evened out to each doll costing the same as if you'd bought it for retail on its own, $35.

I do wonder if the Disney Store might raise the price of the live action dolls to $40 from $35, since the newest classic Moana was $19.95 instead of being regular price.

I know long for those prices. Disney knows they have us by the balls (or pussys) and they are not letting go anytime soon. Especially since they know what people are willing to pay on ebay for their dolls. I guess you could say we did to ourselves for being willing to pay over $1000 for an LE doll that they only valued at $99.99. B&B is sure to be one hell of a pay day for them.

I get how painful it must be if you hate the look. You would have liked the old pre-2011 Disney Store dolls than. I think Disney changed it because when they look right at you it's kinda creepy. They just look at you with their dead little eyes, and happy smiles.

Well now that Donald Trump is president he will be joining Disney's Hall of Presidents as a life sized Trump animatonic. Disney CEO Robert Iger told investors that the park is readying its iconic attraction—the Hall of Presidents for a new figure of the President-elect.

>"We have already prepared a bust of President-elect Trump to go into our Hall of the Presidents at Disney World.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIm8F28vpO0

The Muppets will also be staring in an all new live show called “The Muppets Present: Great Moments in American History” which is beginning this fall.

With all this new Disney presidential hype I wonder if Disney will also start selling Trump related merch after these attractions.
I would so want to see what an Limited Edition Disney Store Trump doll would look like.

Largely a lot of the Disney references thrown in OUAT is due to ABC being a Disney channel, so they can get away with it. There's even a nod to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with her weapon in Rumlpe's shop.

Doll related regrets, and confession time.
I did a bad bad thing /toy/. I bought this Toy Story 3 Barbie & Ken doll pack in 2010. As some of you know Mattel released two different versions of the Ken doll that came in the pack. The image on the left shows the first head that came in the pack. A few months later after people complained that he didn't look like the Ken in the film Mattel created a new head mold, and changed it to the one shown on the right. Sadly they didn't use an 80s Barbie face mold on the Barbie that came in the pack. I hated the modern day whore face with the reduced bust size that came in this set, and I decided to do something about it. At the time Mattel was releasing a line of Retro dolls so I bought a new Retro 80s Barbie doll shown below, and swapped the bodies so that the Barbie in my pack would have a non whore face. While I like the 80s Baby doll face more I recently found out that these 2010 Toy Story Barbie and Ken packs sell for a pretty penny these days. Now I feel like I might have inadvertently devalued my mint set in my crazy attempt to make the doll set look more movie accurate.

If Disney Store is going to ask for $80 for a Deluxe box set they should at least include more than three dolls. It shouldn't have to rely on a plush horse to help fill up 35% of the box. It's called a Deluxe doll set not a Deluxe doll, and plush toy set. Personally I would have enjoyed if they would have added Belles father instead of the horse even if the doll had a plush body.
>>
>>6027782
The horse isn't even to scale, or well proportioned. It could literally be a random $8 plush from the dollar store.
>>
>>6027782
The reason they added the horse is because they were already making them. They would have had to make entirely new molds to make a doll of Belle's father, and they're too cheap to do it.

Previous Deluxe Doll sets from the last few years (Frozen on, anyway) you get 1 of every doll that the Disney Store has actually made, you (sometimes) get figures, and you get a few outfits. They're not really worth it unless you planned on buying all those dolls anyway, or if you missed Gaston in the single box.

I miss when the Deluxe sets had something special--like how the Sleeping Beauty set had 3 small (bean-bag, but still) fairy dolls, plus a plastic horse; the Cinderella set had the stepsisters; the Little Mermaid set has Vanessa...

They could have at the very least improved the already exiting cheap dolls like Gaston. Back when they released the little mermaid box set they improved both King Triton and Ursula by adding more stuffing to their tails and tentacles. They corrected a few color issues, and they also improved Ursulas makeup. They even corrected Tritons drepy eyes.

Fun Fact: The Beast head mold used in this set doesn't just date back to the Fairytale designer Beast head mold. The head mold actually dates back to 2008. Disney just tweaked some of the features, and gave it a new paint job when it came time to release the Fairytale Designer Belle/Beast set. There for they could have very well been able to give us a new and improved Beast/prince combo doll in this $80 deluxe box set. They could have given us a prince doll underneath the new and improved 2008 Beast head mold.

>I miss when the Deluxe sets had something special--like how the Sleeping Beauty set had 3 small (bean-bag, but still) fairy dolls, plus a plastic horse
Even that wasn't all that big of a deal. The 3 bean bag fairy dolls were sold separately in their own classic doll boxes for only $10. A few mouths before the Deluxe Sleeping beauty box set came out Disney Stores clearanced the fairies, and the Maleficent dolls out so that the only way you could get them would be in the $80 deluxe set. They used this same strategy with the Ursula, Triton, Gaston, Jafar, and Genie dolls in order to get newer customers to buy $80 box sets.

As for the horse I always thought that he was just filler to justify the $80 price point. He's still better than the plush horse they jammed into the B&B set, but he doesn't look like the horse from the film. It's like the toy company who makes these dolls for the Disney Stores had an old unused horse mold from the past laying around so they slapped some paint on it in hopes of making it look like the horse in the film, and called it a day.

Heres an image of what the horse in the Sleeping Beauty deluxe box set should have looked like.

The biggest regret I have is not getting the little mermaid box set because of Vanessa. Even if she's just a repainted Ariel doll with black hair it would be cool having her.

I don't know if this help any, but most Jcpenny stores have Mini Disney Stores inside of them which sell $30 Disney store doll packs. The dresses in those packs are not as fancy as the ones shown in your image, but they do come with three dresses, and a doll. The only down side is that while the Jcpenny dolls do use the same Disney Store face, and body molds the dolls have no wrist, or elbow articulation.

Honestly, I collect LE dolls and I wouldn't get her. The doll itself is not very interesting to me since it doesn't differ radically from the regular doll. It's got some cute details--sand on her feet and water beads on the dress--but I want more bang for my buck. Their $9 budget dolls are cool, and everything, but we still haven't gotten a legit mermaid Ariel doll from them yet. Those plastic tail, and bra bath time toys don't really count in my eyes. Plus the new $35 one has this weird thing going on with her arms. For some reason she can't place her arms straight down which makes her look off. They curve outward for some reason. Her raped arms look less like part of her outfit, and look more lick she has bulky fully arm casts on.

Also for some strange reason the new Rey's three buns go up instead of down which makes her look off in profile shots.

She also has this gap under her neck when you turn her head upward which is really noticeable. Why even give her this much head movement if it's going to leave a noticeable black hole between her neck, and collarbone every time her head head is tilted upward.

Is that face of the 6" Black series Rey or is it the 12" plastic Hasbro doll version?
>>
>>6034371
Wow, the $35 doll is night and day compared to the $200 doll in a line known for being ultra-realistic and details with its faces? I am so, so shocked by this turn of events. How ever will I recover from this astounding, surprising news.

Anyone doing any Black Frida/Cyber Monday doll hunting? What sales are you looking forward to?

I'm thinking of picking up another She-Ra from mattycollector since she's on sale for $45. It would be nice to have one in box and one to play with

That She-Ra looks so nice!! I once made the mistake of paying $80 for a MOTUC She-ra figure at a comic book store. I didn't know anything about the line or what the figures really sold for.

Disney Store has had its Black Friday sales going on all week long so I took advantage of two deals today.
I got a $16.99 Christmas ornament for $8.
I also re-purchased the $50 17" spinning light up dress Belle doll that comes with a little singing Mrs. Potts for $30. I returned a few items so I only ended up paying $7 for the $50 Belle doll. I'm really happy I was able to get her at such an awesome price.

There's a few ebay sellers who usually slash prices on Black Friday or Black Friday weekend so I'm keeping an eye out to see if I can get something discounted. Otherwise the deals I'm looking for are figurines.

The Disney Store ornaments are so pretty.

>some strange reason
Its the scale. There's no way they'd be able to achieve that on a mass produced playline doll unless they did molded hair like the HT version. Synthetic hair is too thick and stiff at this size to lay like that.

Leak of Princess Leia from the Disney Store Leia doll (or should I say "doll" since they're marketing them as premium figures, and I can't blame them--fans are already whining on Facebook pages 'ugh these are basically dolls, why are they trying to sell us dolls? done with this line...') She will be released on November 29th.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on She-Ra! I just ordered her off Matty's site and I can't be happier! The $70 price tag was a little pricey for me, but at $45, she's just too good to pass up. I've been lusting after this doll ever since she was announced for SDCC. She's got the most perfect doll body for a 1/6 scale female that I've ever seen.

Well, I'm done doing all my Black Friday shopping. I guess I'm going to spend Friday playing vidya and sipping hot cocoa. Sure better than beating off the hordes at Wal-Mart at 5am just to get a couple bucks off some electronic gizmo that's most likely sold out.

You won't. The shock will eat you up inside, and displace all other concerns. In two years time, you'll find yourself wondering how you ended up homeless on the streets of Hong Kong.

Not that anon, but congrats!
I wish I could get her as well, but I've never ordered of Matty's site, and I just don't trust it for some reason. I wish this doll could be found in stores. I agree with you on not going out today. My local Mall, and I believe Walmart stores will be opening today at 6PM instead of 12AM for Black Friday. I just don't get what type of person would skip Thanksgiving dinner to wait in line outside of a store for hours just to get $50 off some crappy ass tv.

Anyways stay safe, a warm, and enjoy that hot cocoa, anon.

I know people on here have the Animator dolls. Has anyone else done the glass eye mod on them? Or know of a good tutorial for it? All the ones I can find are bare basic and mostly for Japanese and Korean blogs so I can't quite work out some of the details. The two main things I'm wondering is headcap placement (I have seen some with wigs which means it doesn't matter where you put it, but some have the original hair still? Should I be carefully going between plugs?) and eye size. I'm estimating they'd need the same size as the similarly sized Dollmore Mokashura, right?

>>
>>6037300
Moxie Girlz were Bratz's replacement when Mattel banned MGA from selling Bratz. Then Bratz came back and so production of Moxie Girlz kinda slowed down. And then Bratz went on hiatus and Moxie Girlz were once again rolled out, and then Bratz came back again and Moxie Girlz were discontinued. Bratz failed and have also been discontinued. Now MGA has no fashion doll line.
