>Frame Arms Girl HRESVELGR is up for Preorder. Baselard and Gigantic Arms are up. The decals you get in the full set are pretty nice.
>Third wave of Desktop Army announced
>Third wave of Megami Device shown off, character designer is Kuroboshi Kouhaku and mecha design by Yanase Takayuki (They were planned to do the bike shinkis)
>the Shinki kits are kind of in limbo with no official release dates, but they're still showing off the prototypes

Where to buy second hand Shinkis:
>eBay, Amazon - generally overpriced, but you might get lucky.
>Mandarake, Rakuten - search 武装神姫 and don't trust listing images.
>Yahoo Japan Auctions, Suruga-ya - you'll need a proxy if you’re not in Japan.
>Taobao - some shops ship international now, so you might not need a proxy.
>Amiami, Jungle-scs - occasionally get some preowned.
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection, and Busou Shinki World too.

Information on the C91 Collab book:

Instructions document:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6ypyrdhq54udq7s/C91nijiurashinki2_e.txt

Summary:
Make 1-2 pages of photos or drawings size W188mm x H263mm (In case of 350dpi, it will be W2591pixel*H3624pixel), and send it into twitter user @donimassa or his email at [email protected] to get your drawings/photos put into a comiket collab book!

Theme is basically anything that you've done with or for your shinkis.

This is an all-ages book, so nothing too lewd.

Deadline is 12/02/2016 Japan time!

1.Which of the two FAG Materias (white/black) would pair better for swapping parts with the Baselard, or maybe futureproofing for future releases?

2.For parts-swapping/consistency's sake, are my eyes tricking me that Innocentia is a totally different skin color from all the others?

Got word from Muscuto that shipping has been delayed due to the large amount of orders, unexpected delay in finishing the prepainted faces, and conflict with some outside plans (which I'm thinking has to do with AK Garden).

For customers in Korea, he's shipping everything in two shipments with what's ready now soon and what isn't later, but since international shipping is prohibitively expensive, he's trying to think up what he can do about it to make up for the delay such as including some extra parts when he's ready to ship everything out at once. More details forthcoming.

He says pic related should help people get an idea of what "Lunch Set A" is.

I wonder how Dalong managed to snap the wrist peg on the FAG Materia. Was it a freak occurrence or is this a consistently happening thing with the plastic engineering?
>>
>>6008630

does it really matter? just glue it back
>>
>>6008630
I've never seen the wrist get broken like that. I've heard of them breaking at the peg INSIDE the joint, but never like that...

I have to wonder how the hell he managed it.
>>
>>6008326
this might be the funniest panel you've done, I'm dying here
>>
>>6008647

The peg on my Black Materia broke off inside the hand, too. I was just angling it up and it came right off.

I hate to say it but I wasn't terribly surprised. The ankle joint on my Stylet exploded, the elbow joint on my Architect twisted off, and the abdominal hinge on my White Materia split in half. Gourai is the only one that never had breakage.
>>
>>6008630
The professional modeller who built the Baselard for Dengeki Hobby broke a wrist joint too and used it as an opportunity to show how to replace them with magnets.

I have some tiny magnets coming in on the 15th so I might do this shit, but I don't really think I need to. I took the wrists from my Architect since she was using the extra hands from my Stylet/Gourai.

Plus, I've been converting old Gundams into mecha musume costumes for my Materias so they won't even have their original arms and legs most of the time anyway.
>>
>>6009036
That's some freaky ass lighting you got going on there anon. The prosthesis is looking pretty good though, what'd you make it out of?
>>
>>6009410
To be fair, it's mostly my absolute garbage cellphone camera. And just apoxie and styrene strips. I'm very proud of myself that I made it able to be balanced on. Toy gore trigger warning, but the limbs were just regular custom lily limbs I chopped in half. Might recast them when I finish so I can make other girls into amputees for a diorama or something.
>>
>>6008810
I wonder if we can set up a group buy for POM wrists next year.

Since I also lucked in on the pink haired Baselard, I was thinking of pairing the pink hair with purple eyes just like Milfiore, so what happened to the extra FAG faceplate group buy?

Overall does this mean we set up a group buy on Massdrop?
>>
>>6009605
Just curious, isn't there a limit to how many parts you can buy?
If it's unlimited, I'd actually be willing to buy 20~40 faceplates myself but I don't think they'd sell em that much considering how even people in japan are recasting them instead.
>>
>>6009605
>so what happened to the extra FAG faceplate group buy?
You're probably referring to me. I was mainly musing on the idea, but since then another anon has posted a resource for buying gunpla parts (of course I can't find the link now) that might be more economical than paying for shipping three different ways anyway. At any rate, I wouldn't want to go big until Innocentia's face gets released since I foresee a ton of interest in that and I want to buy twenty myself. Maybe, MAYBE I'll look into a small run once I've had a chance to recover my finances from the holidays.
>>

Hikaru's pretty close to nib, though her front and back hair pieces are a bit loose, partly thanks to how heavy the back is.

Fuyoh's a bit more on the used side. Most of her stuff has been taken out of the plastic wrap and played with a bit. Both are one hundred percent complete though, and stored in a detolf in a little diorama

It's an icebreaker recolor. Not in the guide yet since it's not like you're going to be able to get it since it's a Rampage Ghost exclusive. Next update to the guide will come on next sale period.

Also, as I mentioned before, shipping has been delayed for the previous order due to a delay in the finished parts and scheduling conflicts. There will supposedly be some bonus parts included to make up for it.

The magnetic force in those magnet joints isn't sufficient to keep the wrists from coming loose when holding weapons.

If you care more about holding the weapons up though you'd best be off doing a standard drill and paperclip thing (go ask the gunpla general if you're not sure what that is)

Im intrested with FAG Baselard but hows the quality compared too bandai kit ?

I heard from my friends Koto kits are pretty bad using brittle cheap plastic, but he seems building pretty old 2005 armored core and 2010 megaman kit.

Maybe the new FAG come with better plastic ?

and lastly how good is this without total repaint? im moving too apartment so no air brush or top coating for me, can only do minor detailing with brush/marker.
>>
>>6015066
Newer Kotobukiya kits are very close to Bandai, they even have better colour separation without stickers and some even have effect parts (not FAG though).

Only stuff to note with new kits compared to Bandai ones is

-Runners do come with residue on so if you want to paint washing is necessary

-Lots of small/sharp parts unlike Bandai kits because they're not made for babbies

-There still are occasional imperfections (Architect, IIRC, has hair parts that aren't a perfect fit for example; The skin parts for the LE Jinrai were flawed and required drills for the holes, and Kotobukiya had to mail people new versions of the runners) that might require putty or at least a hair dryer

Also
>I heard from my friends Koto kits are pretty bad using brittle cheap plastic

This is plain fucking retarded and was never the case. The main problems with older Kotobukiya kits was bad colour separation and bad fits.
>>
>>6015155
it doesn't help that we have shitposters like >>6009164 >>6008794 this retard lurking around trying to tell people that.

yeah, they're not perfect. but even gunpla has it's QC misses. nothing's perfect. acknowledging that isn't "sucking corporate cock" like that faggot insists.

catch22: don't give shitposters (you)s, but at the same time, can't really just leave their bullshit unchallenged when they're outright misinforming people "for the lulz".

Well i dont intend too insult koto or worship bandai,
i never build koto kit so i ask some opinion from friend because he has build several older koto kit (2005-2010), and he said its pretty good with prepainted parts but overall plastic and snapfit is lower compared too bandai.

>>6015153
>-Runners do come with residue on so if you want to paint washing is necessary

Well i only intend too do some snapfit, but washing it with soap water seems not a big problem.

>-Lots of small/sharp parts unlike Bandai kits because they're not made for babbies

Good then no more safety nub trimming

>-There still are occasional imperfections (Architect, IIRC, has hair parts that aren't a perfect fit for example; The skin parts for the LE Jinrai were flawed and required drills for the holes, and Kotobukiya had to mail people new versions of the runners) that might require putty or at least a hair dryer

At least baselard dont have any of this problem right ?

I tore my shoulder joint because I was too lazy to go grab a cup of hot water and thought just twisting it would loosen it up.

Now waiting on a replacement joint which is held up by the delay.

The peg going into the arm just got stuck and I tore the peg off while trying to twist it around. Hot water, or even just cutting the peg down a bit to be thinner would have taken care of it...

I've noted that problem today, seems like all the peg can use a little shading or sanding before being pushed into holes.

Guess I know which general I'm going to. But a quick question, you have to sand the grips down, right?

For shinki: didn't have to sand the grips on mine. MSG kits are pretty easy to build, you'll do fine.

Hey /bsg/, got a question:

How does one fully disassemble a Shinki at the rivets in the shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles? I have a blank white Shinki that I will be dyeing different colors at certain parts (yes, I know dyeing plastic just darkens it). Is there a SAFE way to disassemble the limbs at the rivets or is it too risky to do?

Unless you have a tool to put new rivets in you shouldnt touch them.

Gabby's been under a lot of stress this trip. The car running out, essentially, is like camping and suddenly all your food is gone, and you have no way to get back to civilization. They needed the car running to recharge, so in fairness to Gabby this is sort of a life-or-death situation Pom-Pom tried to make light of.

I'm curious about that reddish bronze color on the right, but I have no idea how to approximate it in a nice way.
>>
>>6021308

Not sure what you want to do with those red strips.
Are you trying to make it as same as the pic and make it hang out of the leg or is it just for color reference?
Anyway, dark red doesn;t really look good in both gray and dark gray color.
Maybe make it highlight green/blue?
Also, I think the left one goes better with pink hair.
>>
>>6021475

Too much work to make the mock sticker strips convincing, so just imagine it in terms of color harmony.

Well, the blue part on her head clashes with it all. If her "ears" could be black on the black one it wouldn't be so bad. I like the white one, but the accent details you picked out seem clashy too.

Two questions. One, would you all be willing to purchase items on Etsy, that were reasonably priced given how difficult it is to sew on this scale (as in somewhat less than but comparable to Azone stock prices, for comparable quality)?

And two, if you were what kind of items would you be wanting? Azone seems to mostly do cosplay-esque stuff, is that what is popular or is more casual stuff in demand?
>>
>>6022211
If the quality is there, then yes absolutely

I am in need of short ruffled skirts (or layered), hoodies, and exposed-shoulder long-sleeve sweaters

the sweaters are more of a knitting thing though
>>
>>6022211
Slightly oversized hoodies for sure.
>>
>>6022211
Hoodies, kigurumi, skirts, and I'd buy tactical looking clothes or vests but that's probably just me.
>>

Ok I'm going to mostly work on hoodies and sweaters tonight. Skirts are fairly easy so I'll try to crank some out too. I'll give links when they're ready.

>>6022256
I guess I can give a throwaway email once its done.
>>
>>6022211
Hoodies definitely. Printed tees might be nice depending on the fabric used. Shorts and pants are ridiculously hard to find at 1/12 scale. Most of Azone's bottoms are skirts. And tactical stuff, of course.
>>
>>6022311
I'm looking forward to seeing your stuff!
