I hope the Street Fighter figures sell well. I'd like to see them do as many characters as possible, like SOTA tried to do back in the day. Though it looks like these are going to be based strictly on SFV, but I'd like to see alternate classic versions of some of the characters.

Why are they releasing Akari and Yume next when a few of the season 1 cast are still missing?

I want to compile a wishlist of gunpla/figma/figuart/SAS type figs to keep an eye on, since I bought characters that looked cool as figs and it turned out to be an awful idea as I rarely use them. They mention toward the bottom the number of comments they get about people wanting accessories (Hair down Yurika, Ebipon, etc). They also say that Sumire/Hinaki/more StarAnis members are up to how well the lines sell.
I'm glad the staff seem to like it so much, the paper craft stuff that they're putting work into isn't quite my thing but it's good.

I'm with >>5979634, Ryu looks like he was made with SFII/animated movie art style which I don't mind and prefer. Personally I don't mind if they base it on any of the SF series(SFIII would be my 2nd preference) as long as it isn't IV since I don't want the SF S.H. Figuarts line to look similar to what Neca produced.

I'm really hoping the line thrives so that we may see other characters who hasn't have a poseable figure yet.

I have Ryu and Chun Li, Ryu's prototype face looks good but somehow it changed to a different one on the mass release, he can do the Hadoken pose, not much complaint about him, my Chun Li on the other hand(atleast on mine) broke on her shoulder butterfly joint good thing I was able to have a replacement from the local shop from where I bought it since I've heard Squarenix has bad aftersales support for PAKs. I've read/watched reviews and the QC for the line(atleast for the SF series) is mediocre to worst that's why I didn't collect the rest, too bad since I like Chun's face sculpt and the other girls.

Do be aware also of the peanut knee joint design for Chun and Cammy(I'm fine with it but I can understand if someone will find it jarring).

Hopefully when Bandai announce/reveal Ken, he'll be in his red gi since it's more iconic.

I know that feel. I have the GI Joe, Toybiz, Sota, PAK Chun's(didn't get the revo and microman since they're too small) and PAK Chun is the only one who has a nice face sculpt. I would have loved a figma of her but Bandai is a nice 2nd as long as they give effort to the line since Terry looked bad.

RAH Chun Li version 1(SFIII) and version 2(SFIV) has nice face sculpts but it has real fabric for clothes so it might look more like a doll than a figure.

What character do you have in mind that you'll buy? I have most of the release sans the SDCC exclusives and I don't have much problem with any of them, but the Goku mold is already dated
so If you wanna buy any figures that are using those who might be slightly disappointed but Bandai is already using updated molds if we'll look at the prototypes of Yamcha and Tenshinhan so that's a good sign that we may get a version 2 of Goku.

Don't have Beerus but he too is using the oudated knees,

Cell is getting a sort of reissue next year(premium color) so you that might be your best shot of avoiding the aftermarket prices of the original, the wings use a lighter type of plastic that doesnt affect the figure's balance. It comes with a kamehameha beam but a better alternative to it would be pic related, and joints are really well hidden because of Cell's anatomy. Only negatives would be I think he's supposed to be a little bit taller and more beefier but other than that he is a nice figure.

Which Frieza are you talking about, the white one or the gold one? I have both and I don't have any complain about them except for gold Frieza having no effects like the white one and he is much smaller too.

Guys. These might just be the best figures I own. The sculpts are fantastic, the poseability is great, and thanks to the die cast parts they feel beefy as hell. They're certainly the best figuarts I own.

They cost a.mint, but if you have a barnes and noble membership you can shave off a decent amount of the price. I got mine for $49 each.

New Birdie has so much more personality, and his toolkit is ripe for accesssories and part swaps (not that Figuarts will ever do that)

I (shamefully) play Birdie in the Alpha games, he's just generic angry black man, and his design doesn't leave much to be fascinated by. Birdie's rocking a tattoo on his belly, chest hair, and a dope new chain. The only things lost over the years are his elf shoes (but the military boots complete the pitch-black-punk set) and the bird pun from his hairstyle.

I usually agree that older designs are better than new designs in almost every case, but I don't get where team classic Birdie came from, his new form is just way more amusing, and being designed conceptually around Ono's fading years working at Capcom (getting old and gaining weight over the years) is interesting.

They've all got their own playground area that's differentiated by things like scale, price etc. Basically these other companies are picking up the scraps Hasbro doesn't want.
