Went to Walmart in my area, which is notorious for shit a year+ out of date hanging on the shelves to try and nab a replacement Vortex for mine which has a split port. It's still useable, but having a backup would've been nice.

Only to find that all of the shit that was hanging there just last week is now gone and replaced with TR stuff. So I nabbed the Blues Brothers here, since they were the only ones I'm missing and I'm convinced I'm not going to find the Tak ones for a good price.

That's a big risk for what that type is made for. If you have never coated models or toys of any kind yet I wouldn't recommend that.
Really if you have never done it before you should get some scrap plastic/toy and practice with some cheap spray paints first to get a handle of how to work the application.

But base coat usually refers to the first coat of proper color you want to put on. Primer can be the base coat but primer itself is for priming (providing a surface that can accept paint as well as making the surface uniform in color).

Top coats are the clear sealants. You can use them any stage to seal stuff, like protecting a layer of paint before putting on a different medium paint or sealing decals, but they're usually just called top coats because they're designed to seal and protect paint when you're done.

So, certain things that are implied by the collectors club about certain CW molds:

-The Trailbreaker variation of the Offroad mold has an alternate Hoist head.
-Rook has an alternate head, which was apparently intended to create yet another original character that was meant to combine with Computron (Afterburner would use the Groove mold, and combine with the OC while in arm mode)

Hilariously enough, no mention of Scattershot getting some more retooling so he'd look more like Computron in combiner mode.

I'm not familiar with Fort Max at all really, but your easiest bet would be to jimmy it open with a spudger, hopefully separating or cracking the glue.

I don't know how its glued, what it's glued with (if they decided to cement it together for whatever reason just give up hope) or if it's glued in a way that'll make separation feasible.

I don't know what the hell possessed them to do that really. Maybe they're just contractually obligated to make sure that every version of Fort Max has some completely retarded design flaw I guess.

It's gotten to the point that swords (which were never associated with the character), were added to both her newest toys. Her original IDW design is also pretty cool (people even complained when the Botcon version was very faithful to the G1 version).

I still think MTMTE Season 1 (pre dark cybertron) is probably the best form of post G1 Transformers fiction out there. I love the Superion Torso but greatly dislike how similar the limbs were. I think it's why I had excitement for CW Computron, the limbs all stood out from each other but kept that Superion look for the torso.

Like Metroplex, you want Unicron for the robot mode and boy is it a nice robot mode. If you can get it for cheap, it's worth getting. I personally prefer the Takara version since it looks more accurate to me. If you just want a cool looking devil robot and don't care about accuracy that much, you might want to consider the regular Armada version if you can get it cheaper.

It's a great toy, the only real issue is the planet kibble on the back. It's easily positioned to not be so intrusive, but you can just as easily remove the planet pieces when you have him in robot mode.

I own the 2010 version, and even though I paid scalper prices and he had a couple of QC issues, I fucking adore him. Then again, I happen to really like Unicron and the 86 movie in general, so take that as you will.

G1 Mach Tackle MIB in perfect condition since Mach usually gets destroyed and yellowed - $60 This uses the Japanese box that it seems was imported to the Taiwan market. The Taiwan box is a bit different since the Takara logo is in English for that and that Tackle was packaged differently on that as well.

G1 Autobot twins Japan ver - $100 missing the spoiler for fastlane and the front flap of the Japanese box but these would still fetch a pretty penny since it's the Japanese release for the Headmasters line.
