can anyone please compare stage acts 3, 4, and 5?

Never gotten a hero masher before, but Thanos looked really nice so I picked him up. I love the idea that I can slap his arm on to other guys to give them the infinity gauntlet. Though I got no one else yet. I may have to grab some other guys to swap stuff around with.

I have some Tamashii Act 5's. They have a super thick, heavy ratcheting arm as the default arm on the base. You can then plug in a slender, regular friction joint arm. It comes with two "claw" grips. I have these because I collect Transformers, which are pretty chunky and need a big-ass ratcheting arm to hold up some of the bigger figures.

You get 3 bases and enough arms/extensions/claws/etc for each of them in each box.

Well, you can tighten the screws that hold the joints, but if your average Marvel figure is kind of heavy, yeah, go for some Act 5's. Maybe try a set of Act 4's just to see though.

I picked up most of the Doctor Strange wave today. This is the first set of "generic magic effect" accessories I've messed with. I was able to get Enchantress's on by popping her hands off, but I'm pretty sure Strange's hands aren't removable. I tried bending the larger wrist ring over his wrist but I think it's too big to be secured properly, and I'm not convinced the plastic used for the magic effect wants to be bent too much.

How do I get the damn things on?

So my Target went through the entire Strange wave in just a few days. I bought Nico, but I'm kinda surprised the rest sold so quick. Astral Strange, Mordo, Voodoo, and Enchantress were all gone by the time I saw the wave. The other two Stranges and Iron Fist were gone within the next day.

The newer one is veeery similar to the Hulkbuster wave one.
The forearm sculpt and chest deco is different but other than that they're the same. I'd say go for the new one since it comes with the cape.

Strange wave is hitting like a bomb here.

Saw the whole wave at Wal-Mart minus Astral Strange, nabbed IF and the movie duo and left the waifus for another collector.
Found Voodoo and Comic Strange at Toys R Us, and heard from a friend Target has Nico and Astral Strange.

Also, TRU restocked big on X-Men, even found Rogue but I have the whole wave bar Deadpool who is still MIA.

Walked into a Walgreen's today and saw a bunch of older figures with a lone Deadpool front and center.

I left it because I already have one.

Ya, I got it. A few loose joints and ball joints that aren't staying together. The chest also came apart. These are all pretty simple fixes though. I currently have it sitting as pieces, I'll eventually get to customizing it into a Kinnikuman character/OC.

There's nothing wrong with that Hellcat body mold as long as they make it out of solid plastic.
Beetle from earlier this year was the same body but made out of a sturdier plastic that makes her easier to stand and has no warping going on.

I'm probably in the minority on this, but I ordered Samurai Spider-Man and I like it a lot. The joints are nice and sturdy and it's a lot larger than I expected it to be. I don't have any of the Star Wars ones but I'm definitely looking forward to other Marvel characters in this style. My only gripes would be that the red would look better if it was not as bright and the knife on the belt isn't removable.

Is there anything wrong with the Wasp figure from the Ant Man set my Toys R Us has their remaining stock (Two Wasps and like four Tiger Sharks and Grim Reapers each) marked cheap and I'm considering buying one.

Pretty much everything from the hips down is floppy as hell. She's got wings though, just throw her on a stand and you're good. I actually like her because it's rare to have a female legends figure with short hair so she can look straight up for those sort of poses.

Since we're getting a new comics Doctor Strange, I took my HB wave Strange and placed Agent Venom's vest, arms, head, knees, and shins onto the body. From afar you wouldn't be able to tell the difference aside from lack of leg holster and white stripes on his legs.

Didn't require any painting since the vest covers Strange's torso. Then again if you don't like his knees I'm not sure what to tell you since I also swapped those out.

Yes I did. His knees were loose but applying some floor polish fixed that up. I just took pics but they didn't turn out that well. My camera is really outdated and all I had for a backdrop was a nearby cardboard box.

Paint scraping. Sadly this was the only Agent Venom they had at Walgreens when I picked him up about two years ago and the paint was veeeeery thin and a bit splotchy so some of it scraped off really easily.

It doesn't bother me too much since I can just say it's armor weathering, even if that doesn't make sense since the armor is symbiote but I really don't trust myself enough to try and revitalize it.

The TRU one is such a fucking waste, one of the biggest Hasbro blunders of the last few years. The body type they used is older than most of the people posting in this thread.

I think it would have looked great on the Reaper body, giving more of that barrel chested look that Mags had on the famous Jim Lee #1 cover. Instead they blew their load and gave TRU some shitty vault release garbage to save a few bucks. You would have done better buying the set from HTS, it was up for over an hour, and kept those two figures from the set and sold the others. You would have made enough money selling the other figures on ebay to pay for the entire set as long as you sold them within a few weeks of getting the set. Enchantress alone was going for at least $75 before the Strange Wave version was announced.

In the end you would have gotten those 2 figures for fee.

Got a "stealth" Venom and the movie Venom figures today. Really digging both. The stealth venom is amazing to me due to the clear plastic, the thing is actually sturdy compared to this years Ice Man. I think I'd like the movie version more if it didn't have such long awkward arms. Unfortunately, his legs are loose, is the pledge trick doable without popping out the legs? I'd be afraid of breaking him.

You'll have to stalk ebay for a while to find them loose and cheap, but from MS the best ones I have are Ultron's, Hawkeye's, Black Widow's, Dr Doom's, and Winter Soldier's. The X-Men Danger Room pieces are alright, as is Wolverine's display piece (I think there's like 4 different variants of the base). Plus there's the Iron Man armory display pieces that came with the IM2 and IM3 releases.
