I'm not a big fan the figure as a whole still, but the interchangeable eyes like Deadpool has are pretty awesome. Glad they did that.
>>
>>5948726
I like the eyes, hate the rest.
>>
My only complaint is that he's a little too shiny other than that I can't wait to preorder that fucker.
>>
>>5948726
Going to repeat what I said in the Revo thread:

They should stop posing the necks jutting out so much (especially in the head shots). They did the same with Ultron and yet having him in-hand made me realize how you can actually keep it nice and leveled without over-exaggerating how hunched he looks. I have little to no doubt the same will apply to this Spidey.

Does it bother anyone else how clearly the entire body-mold is just re-used from deadpool?

The head is virtually identical.

Except it's not? You can argue that it has a similar style and template sure (no shit, it's all been the same sculptor with the same style after all these years) but for the figure to even have any of the unique sculpted elements (webbing vs DP's costume lines/gear) it would mean that the entire thing had to be molded again.

That's not even accounting for the very different costume details and thicker proportions on Deadpool, and no the head isn't "virtually identical".

>>
>>5948806
Retarded comparison arguments aside, I'm VERY curious about what the different hips mean for them. I'm guessing deadpool has thigh swivels lower down at the straps, and the one on the left leg is a dummy just for that purpose?
>>
>>5948875

Yeah, you can clearly see the straps on Deadpool are to hide the thigh swivels.
>>
>>5948868
epic trolling xd
>>
>>5948795
It's the same designer and sculptor, of course they're going to look similar. But if you think it's a repurposed mold, you're an idiot.
>>
>>5948868
By that logic, all marvel legends are the same, just a little different sculpted
>>
Preorder when?
>>
>>5949012
Never. Considering how fast they took down the deadpool preorders I doubt they'd even bother putting them up for spider-man.
>>
Saw the Space Venom wave at my Toys R Us but they only had Hobgoblin left. I have yet to see the abomination wave and most stores are still being choked by the Red Onslaught wave.

Yeah it changed, was a temporary name anyways. I think they want to put more non-amecomi characters into the lineup now that it seems foreign sale percentage diminished significantly. Concept of the line included doing such characters but I think they might cut back on Marvel(or even DC?) comic characters. Unless they do really well in Japan.
>>
>>5949161
Uhhh...

Short answer, months ago but you can't get him at the usual places.

Seems like you're in US so just check amazon or something.
>>
>>5949166
Kys spic, you have to go back.
>>
>>5949161

The Revo Deadpool (and rest of this Marvel line, probably) aren't going to normally be available in the US. Faggoty fucktards in the US are purposefully stamping down on JPN selling them overseas because they know they can't compete with these figures so they're pulling the "muh licensing no competition plz" card.
>>
>>5949182
So its pretty much the same story and problems as the star wars stuff from japan? Shitty.
>>
>>5949186

Yep. Sucks for everyone. Only way you're gonna get'em is by resellers putting shit up on eBay/Amazon most likely, so get ready to see your wallet's asshole violated by scalping.
>>
>>5949186
Basically, and probably for the same reasons. At least those had a week or so warning they were gonna get taken down, deadpool was up for all of 12 hours.
>>
>>5949186
Yes.

Interesting how comic book movies figures were okay. Must be something specific in the contracts, since I assume they are much older than the ones made for the movie characters they must got some shady stuff going on that wont fly today.

I was getting Spider-man, but seeing these together makes me regret not going after Deadpool. I mostly collect stuff from live action movies and tv, but if this line continues I might fall into comic rabbit hole once again. Especially with Venom coming next.

As for new characters, Carnage would be a fun follow up in terms of Spidey characters. A ~6 inch Carnage with the symbiote weapons from the 90s and Select toys would be amazing.

Him aside, the Marvel side of MvC's collective roster would be a good source of inspiration for Yamaguchi. Tons of classic designs that could peak the interests of both the west and east. Seeing real life movie designs in his poses were jarring, Ultron withstanding, but these would be lovely match to his style. A crazy shelf dedicated to these things would be nostalgic eye candy.

Only thing is his latest demonstrations of sculpting human faces have been the MGS Revos I think, which are... a little goofy imo. I wouldn't mind a more animated/anime approach to the faces, but then again I don't think we've seen him do those kinds of faces either in a longer while.
>>
>>5948719
So, who's better? This or Marvel Legends Pizza Spidey?
>>
>>5949343

Well, one is a probably $60 adult collector piece made by a Japanese company that is known to sacrifice most things for sheer articulation.

The other is a $20 toy.

They're for entirely different markets and tastes.
>>
>>5949333

>>5948719

>>
>>5949333
Yamaguchi did VulcanLog Sneaking Suit Venom, and it looked fine. That was based on a more realistic looking source so comic book faces shouldn't be too bad. Also he did Black Magician but he has a pretty standard anime face.

I would like to see Cable, because Yamaguchi figures can hold guns properly even if they get beefy. And the latest comic book Iron Man because I like the simple design of it.

Biggest question is, will he make female characters. He only did Revy and Reycal for the 10 years Revos have been going.

Have you ever looked at any other toy ever? Revo joints are noticeable, sure, but not any more so than the discs that figma uses, or the hinges shf uses.
And if you are honestly going to cry about the cut of a sculpt for a spidey figure, you clearly don't want articulation, so go buy yourself a statue and fuck off.

Lemme guess, you haven't bought modern Revos like Raiden, Ultron or Venom Snake, right?

Because if you did, you'd know that 80% of the joints aren't even as heavily ratcheted anymore, with the remaining 20% usually being the knees, hips and mid-torso/chest joints to keep their core stable.

Define well articulated.

Let alone that we are talking about a KNEE joint that literally just needs to simulate a simple real life motion, of which you could grab just about any figure from a competing japanese line and bend it all the way back without it looking like a bad statue to figure custom job with hacked joints.

This could be better but you'd have to be kidding yourself if you think this looks as bad as PAK knees. At least these don't look like they broke their leg while in a bent position. If anything, the sculpt itself should have been better adjusted since I've seen Revoltech pull this off better on other figures.
>>
>>5949136
If you can't tell then why do you even care?
>>
how about a new tread that's not shit.
>>
>>5949694
It literally looks like those amiibo customs where they cut the leg at the knee and jammed a revo joint in there. It's got sharp angles visible when the knee is bent and theirs absolutely no attempt to make the leg look connected. It's blatantly two separate objects tagged together with a ball.
>>

I hope so. The bucks Hasbro have been giving Legends females are sexy, but they don't nearly as well as even their male counterparts. And depending on their shoes and hair, they can simple be nofunallowed.jpg.

It's especially frustrating with characters like the Spider-women that have come out. Spider-Gwen is pretty kicking at least in design, but that buck really kills what fun you could have had with her.

Keeping with the MvC theme though... She may have only small appearances in the games, but I really need a 90s Jubilee and not that weird Frankestein's monster modern Jubilee Hasbro released in pieces for no reason.

Also, again, even the cheap ass hasbro figures have better looking knees with full natural motion.
>>
>>5949650
Seems cool. Though I wish we would have gotten a Overdrive or Shocker before Tombstone and Beetle. Still, at least Tombstone will still go with a Superior Foes display.

Really curious as to who the BAF is going to be. At this point it's gotta be Kingpin, right?
>>
>>5949701
Any double jointed knee can do the trick, there are plenty of Spidey figures out there that do it, do you really require a pic showing basically any ML spider fully bending the knee and streaching it?

>>5949693
But I do.
>>
>>5949731
The hasbro join looks more like a continuous leg than the revo, where it looks like you cut his leg in half and then glued them back together with a baseball, including sharp edges and right angles where the cut was.
>>
>>5949744
Pose him with some SAS figures.
>>
>>5949746
And I say the hasbro joint looks like someone's leg got put through a taffy making machine, then stuck miscolored rods through the shin and thigh.
Neither one looks better than the other.
>>
>>5949753
How does the hasbro joint look like the leg was stretched out? Have you ever held one?

Here, look at it. See how the leg looks more natural than the revo, and the kneecap isn't hardsculpted to the thigh and lifts away from the lower leg with a super sharp cut like a bad prosthetic?
>>5949744
>>
>>5949753
That in particular depends on the figure, 2099, Superior and Scarlet Spidey don't have that problem, all revoltech, with no exception, have the baseball-back-knee
>>
>>5949760
Have you ever looked at a bent knee? They don't double in thickness or have a floating kneecap.
>>
>>5949773
They also don't cause the entire lower half of your leg to completely break off and then get reattached at the end of a grapefruit.

Between the two, though, the hasbro one looks far more natural.
>>
Ugh, I can't wait to get Deadpool soon.

I have had it preordered forever through HLJ.

When does this thing ship? Is there a solid ship date for this month yet?

Also, Spidey looks ok, they should have given him better Bagley eyes.

I can't wait to see Venom's prototype.
>>
>>5949693
It really is a great body. People bitch about losing the butterfly shoulders but he can still bring them forward almost as much, he can actually put his arms flat to his sides, and the torso has way better range. The torso isn't freakishly tall too, about the only thing it does worse is the ankles can't point upwards as much.

>>5949714
I'm really hoping they actually come through with him. They've got a rep for bullshitting preorders, but they were also the only people who had him up so I didn't have much of a choice.
>>
>>5949785
The increased hip articulation alone more than makes up for the butterfly shoulders.

People were paying $40 for the raft pizza spidey body cause it had marginally more hip range, when the ultimate was just sitting there with even more hip range than that.

All you get is an A+ for your misguided effort I guess. >The presence of dumb criticism doesn't make the retarded and overagressive response to valid criticisms go away.
Maybe because people are just tired of the same shit being repeated over and over again.

The same shit that already happened when Deadpool came out. The same shit that goes as far back as when Ultron was announced, and yet surprise surprise, said figure turned out to be the best figure of Ultron's movie look.
>>
>>5950334
>Maybe because people are just tired of the same shit being repeated over and over again.

If you can't contain yourself when someone points out an actual problem, then you shouldn't be surprised when people think less of you.

When you can't come up with actual criticisms (criticisms that people here weren't even upset about such as >>5948733, >>5948739, >>5948748) and instead, resort to shitposting ad nauseum, you shouldn't be surprised when people think less of you either.

>>
>>5950370
>Again not me, one out of two anons. But hey call out the rest of us like we're idiots because shitting on everyone is a lot easier right?

Dude, you wouldn't be answering for any of it right now if you didn't try to pretend those sorts of posts never happened.

How do you not understand that?
>>
Why does it trigger American superhero toy fans that a good portion of superhero fans do like Japanese figures of the same characters?

It's not like you are paying for what they're buying, nor do those imports ever threaten the American toy lines. If anything its the American companies blocking people from buying them.
>>
>>5950377
This. I don't get why anons get triggered over people buying Japanese figures of American properties. I collect both MLs and imports and happy with both, don't see why people need to shitfling just to feel good about what they collect (or don't collect for that matter).
>>
>>5950384
You started out with this:
>They felt the need to get upset because people noticed the knees look awkward as shit on the revo.
I pointed out it was one anon out of two that stirred up shit over this.

You even acknowledged that it was one or two posters:
>There's been one or two posters who cannot tolerate any criticism of that figure since we first saw it.

And now you're trying to say that I'm speaking for "everyone" when I specifically said it was one anon who was sperging while everyone else reasoned or ignored the criticisms? Make up your mind. The fact that I even acknowledged it was one anon that was going full retard means I wasn't pretending.

No one was getting upset over valid criticisms (which I even pointed to) UNTIL people started shitposting about the knees and even started baiting people with it. If "these knees make Play Arts peanuts knees look good" is your definition of a valid criticism then I have nothing else to say to you.
>>
>>5950392
Not him, but you literally started out by scoffing at there being any valid criticism at all and then pretending no one was being silly about valid criticism.

> shitposting about the knees

Again, you don't really know what shitposting is.

Do you really think there's no actual valid criticism to be found over how those knees and the sculpt interruption look?
>>
>>5950392
>shitposting about the knees

So you are just mad because you don't think anyone else could actually think those knees look terrible?
>>
>>5950398
>Not him, but you literally started out by scoffing at there being any valid criticism at all and then pretending no one was being silly about valid criticism.
I scoffed at it because any actual criticisms were being ignored that one poster who made that so-called "valid criticism" somehow mattered more and people were getting shit for it when it was just one anon who was sperging.

>Do you really think there's no actual valid criticism to be found over how those knees and the sculpt interruption look?
I literally mentioned this and even admitted to it >>5949694
>>
>>5950403
Then why do you keep referring to any talk of the knees being shitty as shitposting?

Shitposting doesn't mean
>Any opinion I disagree with
>>
>>5950399
>So you are just mad because you don't think anyone else could actually think those knees look terrible?

>>5951155
Yeah I just got mine today and that's something I noticed very quickly. They stay in fine once he's posed, but while moving him around they make it difficult to move his forearms.

I personally only care about Warlock and Shocker, but it's neat to see Death's head II. Who on earth was asking for him?

DH looks like he's got single elbows, though. Is he the BAF?

Awesome! Hits me with some serious nostalgia; the one Wolverine comic I ever bought as a kid is one where he fights Shatterstar.

ML Samurai Demon Spider-Man when?

I wish these were in 1:18.

And, done better, because Shatterstar is looking a little too bulky. He's supposed to have a slimmer look like Spider-Man and those ML bodies are looking way too samefag now.

One eye is, yes. Normally I'd be annoyed, but I think it will work fine for him with the other Superior Foes. I really wish Boomerang had a smile instead of just gritting his teeth.

Cmon hasbro they could have at least gone with an electric blue

Theres an osborne head right in the picture ya dolt. The flash or light streak is blocking it but you can instantly tell by his signature hamburger meat hair.

That's just a non sandy head for Marko. There's a better picture somewhere, without the Flash.
>>
>>5952177
It doesnt even have the same hair color as sandman. Its clearly osborne
>>
>>5952167
Those aren't magic disks, they're the ones they've been using for characters with energy powers, like Havok and Wonder Man

I agree I don't think they're ideal for Shocker, though. But that's fine, I'll just not use them.
>>
>>5952189
I was assuming that's the hair blending with the sand on the one we can see fully.

Shocker doesnt have electric powers as you might expect from his name, thats Electro. Shocker has shockwave/energy shit. Confusing, I know.
>>
>>5952200
>>5952193
Oh well fuck me. They give a baf and a less popular character more headswap options rather than an iconic villain. I thought for sure it was his head as the hair looks pretty much the same has his.
>>
>>5952210
I can see why you'd make the mistake it really looks like it could have been either. Personally I dont mind Green Goblin not having a Norman head but I get why people want one
>>
>>5952134
So is that figure gonna be part of the next X-men Wave?
>>
>>5952222
Seems likely. Wolverine's the X-Men's Spider-Man. If they continue releasing X-Men waves regularly, there will probably never be an X-Men wave without at least one Wolverine variation.
>>
>>5952210
I can at least kinda understand why they did it, Sandman allows for tons of options after all but man I'm bummed out by the lack of Norman's head.
Maybe they're saving it later so they can include it down the line with a suit body figure like they did with the Chameleon figure.

I'm going to try and be patient and not cancel. If I already had a Toys R Us account I might, but I'm lazy.

Dead Meat is the name of the story in Amazing Spider-Man #316

characters featured here are
>Spider-Man
>Venom
>Mary Jane
>Black Cat

since 3 of these already have figures a good guess is that "Dead Meat" might be MJ.

but really, who knows?
>>
>>5952675
Didn't they said MJ would be a repaint of Netflix Jessica Jones or was it just a rumor?

Well, the photos were rather underwhelming (probably cause his torso and hip articulation sucks), but I do kinda want it cause the outfit's cool. I'm worried how well that material will hold up though.
>>
>>5952740
if theyre using any type of the same material as the Mezco TDK then i think it'll be just fine
>>
>>5952592
Cool. I'm going for the Yellow DD since it has lot more going on with it design-wise for the same price range.
>>
>>5952745
That looked like a thicker fabric, and the DD has that coating on it that could potentially chip off.

Ugh, fuck the literally who 2x spiderman variants.

I'm also not that excided for the Shocker (it won't replace my Spiderman classics Shocker) nor the Green Goblin (won't replace my Toybiz one)

Sandman, Kamala, Black Suit Spidey and Jackal looks dope though
>>
>>5953496
I felt the same way about SM2099 when they redesigned his costume in the comics, but the more I look at the figure, the more I want it.

British Spidey can fuck right off.
>>
>>5952086

They said they plan to use those molds for future characters too, to diversity body types and such. Long over due, but finally.
>>
>>5951667
So what are the predictions? How bad the Kamala-bowl gonna be? Is it gonna be as bad, or worse than Black Panther/Deadpool bowl?
>>
>>5953709
Not worse than Deadpool. Deadpool has meme magic and a movie behind him.
>>
>>5952141
Most of them are shit and non defensible.

S rank spider
-Original spiderman
-Black suit spiderman
Both are justifiable within the story

A rank spiderman
-Ben Reilly variants spiderman
Justifiable within the Ben Reily clone arc.

Shit rank
Every other lazy spiderman clone. This includes Spider Gwen, Miles Morales, Spider Woman, Spider Girl, Silk etc etc. Spider UK is just the shittiest of them all

Yeah no. One clone (Ben Reilly) is more than enough. More than that then it just becomes a parody of itself
>>
>>5953725
>Spider Girl

Have you read spider-girl? She was great and was a continuation and female spider hero we deserved, but got dropped cause marvel didn't like alternate timelines.

>That ugly ankle joint
>>
>>5952115
Is that the Deadpool headsculpt?
>>
>>5953765
Which Spider Girl?

>female spider hero we deserved
But why the need? There's Spider Woman as Carol's BFF, that's kinda feel the quota already. Female Wolverine, Hulk, Spiderman, Thor, Ironman all feel lazy because they're just whatever genderbend version of their male counterpart with same power. I like female characters written from the ground up with unique powers like Kamala, WonderWoman, the XMen girls (Psylocke, Jeanne, Rogue, Jubilee, etc) way more because they're way more unique
>>
>>5953776

but....have you read it? Its really great for a generational story. Those have been done to death for sure, but Marvel rarely does them longer than in passing moments. It was charming, it stood its ground and WAS written from the ground up. You gripe about uniqueness in powers, but.... that's a really shallow reason to dismiss a character.

Unfortunately Spider-girl was when marvel was bleeding money and in MC2 and it was all killed.
>>
>>5953858
This asshole clearly hasn't read anything he's complaining about if he thinks classic Spidey, Black Suit Spidey, and Ben Reilly are the only ones whose existence is justified, and he thinks She-Hulk is the exact same as regular Hulk but with gender shifted.
>>
>>5953764
>literal literal clone

But Kaine's entire shtick is that he's not a literal clone. That's Ben. Kaine has different powers and a completely different personality.
>>
>>5953725
>hating on "every other lazy spiderman clone" when Ben Reilly himself is the most literal clone of all, from a story arc that was widely regarded as one of the worst handling of Spider-Man's lore
It's like people forget that the 90s were also a pretty dark time for Spidey fans.

Also, Ben Reilly was only good for the costumes and his run as Spider-Carnage, beyond that he's literally the closest thing to an actual Spider-Man clone whereas most of the ones you listed are at least characters of their own.

The greatest thing about AmYam is that there seems to be no need to plead for characters whose movie rights are not owned by Disney.

Hell, the two characters we have so far are not. So Wolverine and Cyclops should be easy grabs.
